I am so bored at work and this international duty is killing me so i am watching players on youtube.

So i though i'd share with you guys,

this is Mostafa Fathy, he is Mohamed Salah's sub in the Egyptian National team. Hope you like the video :)

1.) 10 Nov 2017 09:02:13
Reminds me of Aiden McGeady.

2.) 10 Nov 2017 10:07:18
aiden mcGeady? hahaha, this guy is left footed and actually a very good player, was on his way to one of Marsielle or Torino a year back but his club wanted too much money and now he plays in Saudi Arabia because they are willing to pay the money! McGeady? that is sensationally hilarious :) Thanks for the laughs!

3.) 10 Nov 2017 10:44:56
Never heard of him, youtube can make anybody look good, maybe even me!

4.) 10 Nov 2017 11:23:11
Assaidi 😆😆😆.

5.) 10 Nov 2017 11:20:20
Actually that Youtube can make anybody look good is a myth, its not a way to judge players that's 100% true, but i've seen many full games of this guy and he is a very good player. Problem is i can't post full games about a player nobody heard of or cares about. It's not like i am looking for us to sign him or anything! hehe.

6.) 10 Nov 2017 11:31:40
He looks good, but then again, Aiden McGeady looks good on YouTube as well. He's got great footwork, but it looks like he over does it at times. There are one or two occasions he runs himself into a dead end and loses the ball. That's just my opinion based on the clip. Not actually seen him play before. Not saying he is terrible. Just saying he reminds me of Aiden McGeady - tricks and flicks, and the odd end product.

7.) 10 Nov 2017 11:44:37
Assaidi looked like Maradona!

8.) 10 Nov 2017 12:00:30
Agreed on Assaidi! Lol. I remember the signing catching me completely off guard and thinking "Who is this? " - then went straight to YouTube and it got me soooo excited! "Such skill and such a great price" I thought! Low and behold.

9.) 10 Nov 2017 12:24:12
Anyone who can kick a ball in a straight line can look good in the Saudi league, that rules out Migs though lol.

10.) 10 Nov 2017 12:47:11
that footage is from the Egyptian league, African Champions league, and various Egyptian Nationals teams. He moved this summer to Saudi league. I agree, the Saudi league is for players to make money, really bad standard.

11.) 10 Nov 2017 13:51:16
Never go full Egyptian. All successful team go only half Egyptian.

12.) 11 Nov 2017 12:32:16
But going full Brazilian is ok ;)

I keep reading on here how Henderson, Emre, Wijunaldum and Lallana are not close to good enough to replace Coutinho, well that's weird because i could have sworn that Coutinho had played literally just a handful of games in midfield and most of his games on the wings for us, so his replacments would not be any of out CM, but our Wingers Like Saido Mane, Mohamed Salah and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, the first 2 are arguably better players than Coutinho for our team, and no discussion much much better this season. When played in midfield he is a liability this season because he simply isn't bothered, a completely unprofessional player compared to f. eks Emre who wants to leave as well but doesn't fake injuries and puts a shift in etc. etc.

Coutinho of last season is as close to a world class player as you come, but sadly Barcelona ruined that for us so its best for the club to get rid because he simply isn't putting the effort in and our results will fluctuate a lot with him in the starting 11.

KloppisaKloon

1.) 06 Nov 2017 13:24:38
We look better without him at the moment anyway.

2.) 06 Nov 2017 13:33:59
Coutinho is not a winger and is a midfield playmaker which we don't have any. none of the wingers would do the job coutinho does whcih is to dictate the game something like fabregas does at chelsea. You are way off the mark when it comes to players and their roles.
The center midfeidlers you have menttioned are ball winners on a purpose.
You are saying leory sane would replace KDB or David Silva or Hazard replacing Fabregas.

Coutinho played on the flanks coz we never had a true out and out winger last season and Phil is such a dynamic player that he could fil in various position just like a glue.

He is the modern day iniesta and Iniesta is not a winger.

coutinho will never replace any winger at liverpool or any team he moves to. he is a playmaker.

3.) 06 Nov 2017 14:13:52
Harry, Iniesta regularly played on the left wing when he was younger. Coutinho has played as a left winger/ forward for well over three quarters of his games at Liverpool. That's just reality mate.

We don't necessarily need a playmaker in an attacking midfield role because Firmino drops in to collect the ball from the midfield and the likes of Mane and Salah go past him to score the goals. It looks to me like Klopp is going to turn us into more of a counter attacking team anyway. With that in mind Salah, Mane and Chamberlain all suit us more than Coutinho does anyway. They break forward quicker, at more pace, and take less touches in general.

We do however need midfielders who transition defence to attack quicker than Henderson or Can, and Keita does just that, but then also has the pace to get forward and join the attack. He is like a box to box playmaker. He runs the show at Leipzig.

I tell you now buddy, when we have Salah, Keita, Mane, Chamberlain and Firmino running at teams on the break, we will be absolutely terrifying to play against. Watch our third goal against West Ham and how much of a role Firmino played by dropping deep to receive. His turn, run and weight of pass in behind for the Ox was world class.

Stuff Coutinho. He can rot in Spain, and in Messi's shadow. Just like Ibra, Villa, Sanchez and Neymar found out. Only Suarez has been good enough not to completely pale in comparison.

4.) 06 Nov 2017 14:12:58
No i am not, Coutinho has played on the left wing for most of his Liverpool career, you are clueless about player roles, he is right footed so he will always cut inside to the middle of the park so the left back can overlap, something Mane easily does and does better because he is more direct than Coutinho. And for a playmaker he takes 10 shots each game so don't understand what playmaking you are talking about when he has had less assists than goals in each of his last 3 seasons, only time he was a true playmaker was the first 12 months when he came from inter. After that he started shooting from everywhere and anywhere. Also Salah's amount of assists for Roma the last 2 seasons which is over 30 suggests he is also capable of being a playmaker if asked to play that role something he is not. Coutinho from last season is not here anymore so anything you say about him simply is NOT accurate because he has already left the club mentally! Peace.

5.) 06 Nov 2017 14:58:37
You don’t even know what Coutinho is in the first place. He should be the first winger with No pace! Lol. Coutinho has no real pace to even consider as a winger. From your logic Walcott must be a winger as well. as all his life he played on the right side of front 3. How do you know who is a winger and who is not? Is it based on the formation? That’s even a bigger dumb logic.

Attributes defines who you are as a footballer not the position you are deployed under a manager!
Salah’s biggest weapon is his pace and if you want to drop him to the playmaker role then good luck with you

You are upset with Coutinho shooting from everywhere? Only player capable of scoring a goal from freekick! Add that also in his resume!

MK
I like Firmino. But Coutinho is a vision. I can’t belive how quick we have turned our back on him! 2 months ago he was world class! All summer window he was irreplaceable. Couple of wins without him and he is poor?

6.) 06 Nov 2017 15:24:45
someone who calls him self sideways henderson understands virtually nothing about the game, i never said Coutinho was a winger, yet he has played most his games for Liverpool on the left wing. I think you have never watched us play ever if you think he is a CM because he has played there like 10 times out of 150 and for Brazil starts every game on either the right or left wing. Walcott? walcott was a right winger, i don't ever know what on earth you are babling about.

7.) 06 Nov 2017 19:16:26
Harry, you talk a whole lot yet you say very little. Cou is no winger and never has been. He is a playmaker playing out wide and YES, Iniesta played on the left wing earlier in his career and for the Spanish team that won Euro 2008. That did not stop him from being one of the best CM's in Europe.

Cou is also known to play better deep in CM as he did that under BR in the 13/ 14 season where we almost won the PL as well as late last season when we got top 4 tied up with his goals and assists. Comparing Cou to Walcott is just madness and illogical BUT not surprised. No one is turning on Cou. He turned on us, we took him back and based on Ed01's info, he has become a cancer in the DR. Get your facts straight mate before you post.

On another note, the fact that you now call yourself Sideways Henderson, shows that you don't know a thing about him, nor his role not what he provides cos if you did, you would know that he got an assist vs Spurs, won the game vs LC that got Shakespear sacked and played some great diagonals vs Hud BUT heay, let's take a dig at him.

8.) 07 Nov 2017 02:45:25
And this is coming from the same set of people who argued with me from past 2 years of not wanting a specialist Holding midfielder in favor of Henderon and double pivot and more bullshit which was supposed to be a hit under Klopp, Now are running for buying for a top class holding midfielder!
Come back to me after 2 years on Coutinho! ✋️✋️✋️✋️

Regarding my knowledge on Center midfielders 😎😎 Well I know Henderson is not a holding midfielder and this expirement is certainly failure!

Read a ridiculous comment somewhere on here about how Suso is now worth at least 65 million! That is the funniest thing i have read on here for a long long time i have to be honest.

Just as an example:

Mo Salah's last 83 games in Italy he managed 34 goals and 25 assists and was sold for 41 million euros from a team stronger than Milan and much more successful in recent times.

Suso has in the exact same amount of games managed 19 goals and 18 assists! How is he worth more than a player like Salah when they played the exact same position in their teams in Italy?

People need to chill, we made a mistake with Suso sure, but Ac Milan quoted Spurs 35 million euros in the summer and Tottenham just ran away for a reason, they did splash 40 million £ on Sanchez the ajax CB so it was nothing to do with money, Suso just isn't worth that kind of cash.

KloppisaKloon

1.) 04 Nov 2017 11:02:41
Those who think Suso (who I always liked and still do) is better than Salah, are just rejecting truth and facts. And I'm not convinced about Sanchez either as he looks so clumsy and rash in the challenge BUT he's young and hopefully, will get better.

2.) 04 Nov 2017 16:01:51
Sanchez will grow into one of best CBs in PL.

{Ed001's Note - what makes you think that? He does not impress me at all. Dawdles on the ball, error prone, not the greatest in the air and tends to rely on physicality due to lacking positional sense.}

3.) 04 Nov 2017 20:09:44
Supermane, you clearly have never seen him play cos everything Ed01 described in his response about Sanchez is correct. When he first arrived at Spurs, he played on the right side of a back 3 with Alderweireld as the sweeper. He was awful, got bullied left right and center by Tammy Abraham vs Swansea and was very rash, cumbersome and clumsy in the challenge.

Clearly Poch saw what I saw and moved him into the sweeper role and Alderweireld went to the right side of the back 3 so Sanchez could just be worried with sweeping up behind instead of defending out in space and wide areas and getting exposed. The guy is pants and so is Aurier who is all physicality and NO brains.

03 Nov 2017 14:52:10
Well done to Alberto Moreno for being called up to the Spain squad! that's quite nice with the likes of Alba and Bernat there.

KloppisaKloon

1.) 03 Nov 2017 15:20:52
Great to see his form has been recognised!

2.) 03 Nov 2017 16:09:34
Amazing that suso, Luis Alberto and iago aspas have all made it in. Fair play to the lads. All decent players for there respective clubs now.

3.) 03 Nov 2017 16:38:05
Still lots of negativity for him- shame really. Really hoping he continues his renaissance. For a lad that fell so far, it should send a message to the rest of the players at the club.

4.) 03 Nov 2017 17:35:31
That is fantastic for all three players esp. for Moreno. This shows that hardwork, dedication, and determination can get you. Moreno has definitely improved this season and the fact that the Spain manager noticed his progress is a testament to his work ethic and attitude.

5.) 03 Nov 2017 17:54:56
Don't let others in here hear you say anything good about Moreno.

They see him as a reason to bash Klopp some more about how Robertson is by far the better player etc etc etc.

Well done Moreno. Good to see a willingness to improve despite still making mistakes hasn't gone unnoticed.

6.) 03 Nov 2017 19:03:18
Bath City is the only other score I look out for. Apart from them I hope everybody else loses.

01 Nov 2017 08:48:39
Some good news lads, Mohamed Salah was not called up for the upcoming international break by Mr. Hector Cuper to give him a well deserved rest due to playing too much football lately. Wish all international managers were a bit like that.

ed001, he is calling you out saying you don't think firmino would get into any PL squad either? I am off to jump in the river now. Banging my head against a wall isn't doing it anymore.

Firmino get in a premier league squad? Is this a joke? Wow we have some of the most clueless fans in the world, i was going to write a long post explaining how Firmino is wanted by some of the biggest teams in the world but this just a waste of my time.

Hard luck Corleone mate, must feel real bad without your Country in the World cup considering you are always a semi-final candidate each time (at least)

Couldn't agree more Loris, Max Meyer is nowhere close to being good enough to replace Coutinho. He'll come sit on the bench for 2 seasons and leave for a loss on what we pay for him.
