Good day Eds and Reds, question for the Eds, when the new club rankings are out, do you expect Liverpool to move into the top20.

LFC ARMY

{Ed002's Note - The rankings have Liverpool having risen to 22nd.}

We'd wanna be careful. keep rising up them rankings and they might actually let us in this big breakaway league in a few years.

2.) 17 Jun 2018 21:19:36
What was our ranking previously?

3.) 18 Jun 2018 09:23:39
34. If look on UEFA's website you can actually look year by year. We were 42 when Klopp took over in 2015, an ended that season in 35.

Hi guys, so happy with the fixture and I believe that we will see a strong start from us, but the real test starts from September, what are your thoughts guys and girls.

Just read that we play away from home in the league before our every single Champions League group stage game (including away trips to Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal) . That sucks, but hopefully we'll have the squad depth to cope come August.

2.) 14 Jun 2018 12:42:34
Well, logically the game before or the game after a CL game is going to be an away day. Personally I think before is better to have them before the game than after but it depends who we have in the group I suppose - it's great if it's a comparatively easy group, if we have Moscow and Basel in our group I'd say it's worked out well for us, If we have Real Madrid and Napoli then we've got a minor obstacle put on top of what is already a mountain to climb. Either way, we need a squad that can deal with it because it gets harder not easier as the season wears on.

Hi everyone, it's been a long time I posted, but I read the post often, i have known this site for over seven years and is good to be back amongst my fellow LFC family. My take on the proposed fallout with Lyon over the transfer of fekir is that, we will be better off looking for alternatives that will meet the demand of klopp, like some that were dissapointed over the failed deal, i was also gutted but when I look at the bigger picture, i believe we are not going to regret it, so I urge those that are gutted to be patient and at the end of the day, we will see the light at the end of the tunnel.

For my money we have bigger priorities.
Goalkeeper, partner for VVD being the first 2 👍.

2.) 10 Jun 2018 19:03:11
I agree Ron, but it will be one step at a time.

3.) 10 Jun 2018 19:06:25
Disagree with Partner for Van dijk over a need for a replacement for one of the front three as champions league final showed the lack of suitable replacement.

4.) 10 Jun 2018 19:37:01
Not too bothered with the Fekir deal not happening. Why? If he has bad knees (as reported all over English and French media) then sorry, NO DEAL. Why should we take the risk? To placate some fickle fans who think transfers in reality are like the ones done on FIFA 2018 or to make some "statement of intent". whatever the heck that means as I have seen with fans losing their marbles on SM, blaming the club for not doing what they want? NO WAY!

Transfers are not cut and dry, never have been and never will be. People fail medicals all the time and at the same time, if a team wants to sign you, they will take the risk cos we have seen players being signed whilst injured in the past. Aquilani anyone?

The fact is that if Fekir's knees were to big a problem to overcome long term, then pull out of the deal and move on which is what we have done. We should not be saddled with such risks cos the same fans (on SM) being fickle now, would be the same fans saying "Oh if we knew his knees would be a problem, why did we sign him? " cos you know, they are never wrong.

I think both Johncrow and Ron Keague are right. We need a goalkeeper, partner for VVD along with cover for the front 3, all are equally as important as each other but maybe the goalkeeper more so.

6.) 10 Jun 2018 19:47:06
Absolutely spot on BRover. Nail on the head mate.

7.) 10 Jun 2018 20:26:37
If it's in klopp we trust then we need to trust klopp

Let's just hope he sees what we need and the board back him like that have so far.

8.) 10 Jun 2018 20:32:30
Spot on Ron.

Keeper and a CB.

If VVD gets injured then it’s back to square one with Lovren, Matip and Klavan. The biggest weakness in the team.

9.) 10 Jun 2018 21:46:34
I think a no10 is more vital than a new cb as was shown in the ucl final when our midfield struggled to supply the front three.

Fekir is not the only decent no10, there must be hundreds. I think we will see a acm this summer, maybe fekir.

10.) 11 Jun 2018 03:53:58
Seems that the medical piece only became an issue when lfc weren’t able to use it to drive down a lower price. Why would Lyon look to renegotiate on a price when they know there will be interest from
Elsewhere after the World Cup.

Shaqiri is not the type of player we should be looking at.
