I have been told that we are currently looking at conducting some business in Serbia. I don't know who the player is, or whether the agent is just in Serbia, but apparently talks are happening today. Will try and update if I hear a name.

Marko Grujić?

2.) 17 Dec 2015 11:46:09
Marko Grujić?

3.) 17 Dec 2015 12:56:22
been told or read all over the internet?

4.) 17 Dec 2015 12:37:52
Grujic is a done deal, info from within Red Star.

5.) 17 Dec 2015 13:19:42
There is no done deal for Grujic at this time as Ed002 has repeatedly said.

LFC_Londoner - I remember you coming up with information before but can't remember if any were true.

6.) 17 Dec 2015 20:43:35
The real ag: the deal is done.

7.) 17 Dec 2015 21:24:47
He supposedly said it on Facebook and the comment was then removed. That was what I read anyway.

Contrary to what I had been initially told, Sanchez is now dead in the water. His wife does not want to live in Liverpool. This is already being reported by the papers I believe, so actually nothing new.

Bertrand will be coming in, as will Origi. Funnily enough, not once had Markovic mentioned to me.

Moreno is not of interest now, club unwilling to meet the price. Attention has now been placed back on Ryan Bertrand to compete with Flanagan at LB. Representatives will also be in Barcelona this week to discuss Sanchez. As Eds has mentioned before, Sanchez would only be an option if Suarez leaves, so I think there is a good chance that he will leave this Summer.

I have been reliably informed that Salah will indeed be going to Chelsea. Not sure of the full reason, but I assume it is down to the fee that they are offering being higher than ours. Expect an announcement in the next 48 hours. Real shame as I think we could have tied him down two weeks ago.

Hi eds. Cissokho appears to be training with the club, pictures have come out of him signing, but no announcement. Do you think we are waiting on news about Willian so we can make it a double announcement, or is this just coincidental? {Ed001's Note - just waiting on medical results to confirm the deal.}

Haven't posted for a long time, but felt the need to now. Some of you have got to show a lot more patience, some of the things I read on here are getting silly. It is the 7th July and people are already criticising our signings for the window. There is plenty of time remaining. I get that things haven't gone great with VVD, but those asking the club to pay £60-£70million on Keita are having a laugh. He looks like a very promising player, but in a position that doesn't need the focus of our investment. I am all for squad depth, but you would be throwing a lot of the transfer pot in for a player who will improve us of course, but will not be able to prevent us from suffering in areas we have done so for the past 7 or 8 seasons.

Stop sulking and screaming, put the toys back in the pram, and let's see what happens.

Totally agree Londoner. We should move on from VVD and Keita and look at other quality additions to the defence and potentially another winger as cover for Mane and Salah.
I would be happy with a fullback in the mold of Dalbert or Bertrand and move Milner to RB. A solid CB other than VVD, and a young winger like Martins or Gray (Or promote Ojo or Wilson) Potentially a centre mid if Can leaves.
More importantly though is getting players off the books first - Sakho, Markovic, Stewart, Lucas, Moreno, maybe even Ward ( I know other may disagree but he won't play and he's worth more now than he likely will be next year after not playing) and one of Ings, Origi or Studge must surley leave. Personally I hope we keep Origi, has shown some real promise.

I think there were a lot of messages to come out of the game last night, but my top 3 are as follows. 1) What we all knew anyway, Lovren will cost us points this year. I know we have had two clean sheets, and Mignolet hasn't had to be tested much, but time after time he is out of position. 2nd half he was better, but still not good enough for us. 2) Lallana is an impact sub at best. I missed the first 30 seconds of the game yesterday, and didn't see the team sheet. 20 minutes in I heard his name for the first time. He was completely anonymous. 3) This isn't and excuse for our poor performance, but Bournemouth should stay up this season. They look very organised, the forwards combined well, and I love that Eddie Howe didn't back off and play 5 in midfield.

We need to make significant improvements at Arsenal, Can must start the game.

Think Skrtel will cost us more points than Lovren if I'm honest, he's going to get caught dragging players down eventually.

I have a feeling that it may take us a little longer than hoped to break down Bournemouth tonight. I just hope the crowd remains supportive throughout. I reckon 2-0, both goals in the second half, Benteke to grab his first goal at Anfield.

Looks like we will have to be patient and wait until the second half when Rodgers makes the following changes :
Extra man In midfield (Can)
The 2nd striker (Firmino or Ings)

I don't think tonight was amazing offensively, but you have to applaud the defence. I thought Lovren looked a bit shake in the first half, but looked solid in the second half. Moving Can to CB was an inspired move, and gives us someone who is comfortable on the ball and strong at distributing, two of the traits I loved in Agger. Markovic struggled a bit, Moreno made us look a lot more comfortable in the second half. Keep it going lads.

If the rumours are true, then Markovic will be banner for 4 European games. Absolutely outrageous. I watched Ivanovic assault someone and get nothing, but Markovic's finger flick warrants 4 games? Lack of consistency, albeit from different associations.

So you get 3 games for stamping and 4 for brushing someone with your hand? Unbelievable.

2.) Different committes I think

I tell you what, some of you lads must have the craziest lives. You all seem to read something on Twitter or on some of the dirt sheets and take it as gospel. If you want to come on the site and find out some of the rumours, then it is a perfect forum. However, if you want to come on here and slag off the club without a real understanding of what is going on, please don't bother. Transfers can come to fruition or collapse very quickly.

As others have said before, our luck will run out. If we had won 1-0 through a legitimate goal, and threatened on a number of other occasions, and looked strong in defence, then 1-0 is fine. The reality is that they had a goal chalked off which was dubious, we scored a goal that should have been ruled out, and we weren't creative enough against a side who will be in the bottom half of the table, and are very inexperienced at this top level.

Very important unfortunately. Not only for the financials, but for future Champions League rankings as well. It isn't ideal having to go in the 3rd pot, Citeh being a good example of that.

I can't imagine that we are going to be spending much money in the Summer regardless of Champions League or not, but it will have an effect on who we target. The Europa League really is not ideal. They have put a small amount more in participation money, but not enough. Additionally, the fact that you need to win it to get to the Champions League makes it very tough.

Ha ha, heart or head. which one to go with. It may depend on who the opponent is.

On the flip side, Ibe wouldn't have been the same player he is now unless he got half a season of regular football. He is full of confidence after an excellent spell with Derby, and that reflects in his current performances. He wouldn't have had anywhere near the same sort of game time had he not gone out on loan.

Players are commonly shocked by the physicality of the Premier League. Although Sterling is small, he is actually pretty strong. Hopefully Markovic can put a few kilos on over the next 6 months and be stronger for the 2015/16 season.
