A friend of mine works for the Borders Agency arranging work permits/ visas for LFC players. Recently posted Salah pictures. Private jet arrived in Liverpool today - apparently a player who signed for LFC a year ago! Welcome Naby, YNWA.

I love a private jet rumour.

2.) 22 Jun 2018 21:07:05
I'd love a private jet.

3.) 23 Jun 2018 07:54:42
I'd love a decent rumour!

4.) 23 Jun 2018 08:26:30
Seems it was right tho, Kieta is in Liverpool this morning.

5.) 23 Jun 2018 10:57:11
i’d love for people like marshy to just appreciate what is posted and not take a sly dog at the op lol.

6.) 23 Jun 2018 14:57:21
Was it a “standard” or “non-standard” private jet?

Being linked with Hakim Zyech. Any substance to that Eds?

Litmanenfav

{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware, but these are the notes from a few months ago: "Any Everton interest sounds like old news about a Martinez target from a couple of years back. Hoffenheim and Sampdoria were disappointed with January 2016 rejections for Hakim Ziyech who chose to move to Ajax in the summer of 2016 over interest from Fenerbahce, Dortmund, CSKA Moscow, Sunderland, Swansea and Southampton. Other sides including Inter, Roma, Crystal Palace Leicester all looked to the player when he was at Twente. His agent has said that "Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs have come from England to watch my player" - who comes with a great deal of baggage - but there is nothing to substantiate that at all. Chelsea has a player on loan at Ajax, Spurs took a look at Dolberg and Liverpool, unless Coutinho is leaving, may have done the same."}

Again, this would be a good signing.

Having pretty much fallen out of love with football this season, I was really buzzing for this match. With something to play for and fans back at Anfield it was an exciting end to a dreadful season.
I'm sad to see Gini go, love players that play with a smile on their face, but can't wait for Curtis to get a real run next season.
This site has kept me sane this season and I just want to say massive thanks to all the Eds for keeping us going with their efforts, information, articles, podcasts and posts during a season that they struggled with like all of us.
I read all of the sites and have favourite posters on them all, regardless of club and I see us all as part of a fan community which informs me and gives me an insight into the wider picture of premier league football.
Can't wait for next season, glad to see the back of this one! YNWA.

Roger that, and life feels a whole lot better after the result yesterday.
I’m sad to see Gini go.
Thiago was put forward as is replacement but he’s a different type of player, he moves the ball around like a maestro.
Jones has been put forward as his replacement too but he’s a different type of player also, better further forward with a goal threat.
Henderson would be the replacement, more combative and authoritative.
But the point is, Gini is good at a bit of everything whilst not necessarily being a master of them.
Those types of players are often under-appreciated and he seems to have suffered that fate on these pages at least, by some anyway.
But we need a very good all-rounder, who is as durable, to even have a chance of replacing him.
Mucho thanks Gini.

2.) 24 May 2021 10:41:38
I’m not sure Jones is a natural replace there and his talents would seem a bit wasted. For me he should be a bit closer to goal. But if our commander in chief decides otherwise I won’t argue with that man again 😂.

3.) 24 May 2021 11:12:45
Let’s not jump the gun with Jones he’s only young give him
Time before the hype starts other wise when he doesn’t do it he will be getting death threats like young nico etc!

Ed077 is new - who is he ten and who does he support? Is this Ken?

Litmanenfav

{Ed077's Note - Not ken and I support Man United}

1.) 27 Feb 2021 08:42:18
Ed77, are you the Ed the other guys call Deeps in the podcasts?

{Ed077's Note - If Deeps was an Editor here then wouldn't the guys in the pod refer to him as Ed(insert number here) at least during the intros?🤣😜}

2.) 27 Feb 2021 09:35:50
Mr Ed77, love your work rate. Seen you on our page a lot over the week. Take it Ed1 or Ed666 are on “annual leave” hey. Just a shame you support Man United though. But if you keeping editing on our page at the rate you are, we might be able to overlook that shortcoming 😉.

{Ed077's Note - no they are around. They work hard all year round to keep you guys' sanity in tact. Its just that I have a lot of time on my hands RN}

Haven't posted in ages but always start my day with these pages. I hope that the game tomorrow is swashbuckling rather than a boring stalemate. Whereas I don't want our Anfield record to go, nor am I interested in taking a boring point off United. The lack of fans has made me fall slightly out of love with the game and with everything that's going on in the world, I need something to reignite my passion. A top performance from the team, regardless of result would definitely help.

Litmanenfav

1.) 16 Jan 2021 10:36:40
A top performance for me is any win against ManU!

2.) 16 Jan 2021 11:34:37
Any type of win is ok by me too, lol.
Interesting conversation about Rashford below.
I think that there is an underlying respect between Liverpool and Manchester United, when all is said and done.
That prolonged standing ovation that Bobby Charlton got in Liverpool at the Sports Personality Awards a few years ago was amazing, he was really touched by it.
Things like Shankly taking Gordon Banks to the Kop after his accident, again amazing pictures online, albeit not United linked.
Whether Rashford gets a banner or not, he won’t get forgotten.
I agreed with Ed007 btw, should have told the Tories where to get off with the MBE.
Even now, their cuts are reaping what they’ve sown. School meals used to be provided by Council staff, now they’re contracted out to minimum wage / zero hours agencies, and kids are getting a carrot literally in their meal packs.

3.) 16 Jan 2021 12:23:42
Getting a bit sick of the rashford talk. Let’s destroy them and after the game give him the credit he deserves, not before.

4.) 16 Jan 2021 12:36:02
Beggars cannot b choosers. We need a win hence, I’ll take it any way I can get it.

EDs 001, 25 and 666

Just listened to the podcast Irish version, loved it, hilarious 🤣🤣. Boy, can Ken talk! Unlike some, I visit many of the other teams' pages to see what their fans are saying and Ken is one of my fav non LFC posters (along with Gunner62, TomB and Shappy! ) .

Ken's review of the Liverpool team was priceless, loved it.

Disappointed not to hear more of 25's wit but guess he couldn't get a word in lol.

Keep up the good work, can't wait for the next one.

Litmanenfav

{Ed025's Note - ken was superb litmanen, we are hoping to have more guests in them mate...and even some who were not vaccinated with a gramaphone needle.. :)

1.) 27 Sep 2020 10:12:48
One of my favourite non Liverpool posters is the Raver. More his social life really, I mean who drives a Subaru these days 😀.

2.) 27 Sep 2020 10:38:38

3.) 27 Sep 2020 11:16:33

Normally I love reading the posts on here but confess that when the transfer window is open it does my head in! My opinion is probably worth less than many of you cos I only started supporting LFC 30 years ago after marrying a mad red.

Anyway. for what it's worth, here's my opinion. I think we already have the best team in the league and have added 2 v good players in Taki and Kostas. Taki was our best player in the pre season games, closely followed by Naby. We also have the best manager, love Klopp!

The reason we strolled to a 25 point lead by Christmas was not only because of that, but also because our rivals under performed, including City. Some of their high profile purchases did not work out and 3 of them had rookie managers. Those 3 have made some great purchases and I can't wait to see these players in the PL. But, these purchases may or not work out in their first season and they still have those rookie managers!

Man for man, City probably had better players in their squad but we had the better team. So even if individually these shiny new players are fantastic, we still have the best team.

So we start again from 0 in the new season and I for one cannot wait. Let's see where it takes us. Personally, I have never enjoyed leagues where any club strolls it, prefer the nip and tuck of close run things. So let them field their shiny new players, their much improved performances, their slightly more experienced managers and let's win it all again, by one point if necessary (or even goal diff, I really don't care! ) .

YNWA.

There’s actually over a month left of the transfer window, so time yet, though not ideal to add players when the season is underway.
There also seems to be relatively little / reduced transfer activity generally, other than by the two or three high-profile cases.
So Liverpool are not an atypical example of what’s happening in the PL this Summer break.
But people are just getting spooked by potential rivals on paper.
And paper dragons never hurt anyone.

2.) 03 Sep 2020 09:19:47
Nice on Jari, stylish as ever.

3.) 03 Sep 2020 09:47:24
One of the main reasons we won the league was our defense. we did not blow many teams last season but we kept a brilliant defense. But now we are conceding goals. We need a top-class CB. Klopp's interest in Carlos confirms that.

4.) 03 Sep 2020 10:40:43
Paper Tigers too for that matter, we are where we are and have to trust JK, his team and FSG to do what they believe is required.

5.) 03 Sep 2020 11:20:45
The concern is our performances. We weren’t lucky to win the league overall but there were a lot of very close games last season that could have gone either way - villa, Leicester, West Ham, etc so I don’t actually think we were miles ahead of the rest anyway. So for them to improve their first teams and us not to is a concern. Of course Klopp and the players resilience won us the league last year but I’m just not sure we can be as resilient and have the rub of the green In the league as much again. And we also built up steam as we didn’t lose for ages. The concern is if we lose a couple of games in say the first 5-10 games that everyone will jump on us, the resilience will be gone and we won’t be able to change it up with some quality new signings and compete for the league. It is looking at it negatively but they are my concerns.

6.) 03 Sep 2020 11:28:25
The faith is strong in these posts above but I think your missing the fact that in those two seasons - teams were as they were - more improvements stronger improvements have been made and Liverpool have remained the same.
Nobody can say any of the players bar vvd, mane. Robertson have played well for several months even from the ath Madrid game.

I think lfc are making a huge mistake I think a huge amount of points will be dropped this season - a top 4 place would be successful an a trophy and there’s no way they will retain the league. They have already set themselves up for failure by not adding! Yes I said it! By not adding quality - Fabinho is not a centre back fyi -.

Not sure about the coaching role but I agree with your sentiments. Lucas was one of my favourite players and I was gutted when he left. Played with a smile on his face and would play in any position he was asked to.

Ed, fantastic article and love all the snippets of info about what went on then. Btw, Jim Craig was my dentist when I was a teenager and he told me he set up the winning goal for the European Cup! Obviously a bit of embellishment there. Sadly, despite his footballing talent, he wasn’t a very good dentist haha.

Litmanenfav

{Ed001's Note - cheers mate, glad you enjoyed. He didn't mention giving away the penalty then?}

MKScouser without detracting from the general well made points in your essay, I would dispute that Man City are ‘widely regarded as the best team in Europe’. The best team (currently) in the EPL yes, Europe no.
