Little birdie tells me LFC have agreed a deal to sign Columbian left back by the name of Anderson Arroyo. He had a trial with Liverpool in 2016 I believe. 18 month loan to a Spanish team. He is 18.

Cheers.

According to South America football journalist Simon Edwards we have acquired all his playing rights but will have to loan him out next year - possibly to Mallorca - seems an odd move to me.

2.) 20 Jan 2018 02:32:07
If i was getting somethin from Colombia it wouldn't be left back.

3.) 20 Jan 2018 07:26:01
If I had a birdie from Colombia I won’t be on this site as often.

Maybe one of the Ed’s or someone can tell me if I’m correct, i always assumed this was done because the time required to obtain Spanish citizenship is 18 months or 24 months. that way they become European citizens and they no longer need a work permit. i think here in the U. K. the requirement is 7 years.

5.) 20 Jan 2018 10:51:57
Yes Hoody I believe it's 700 plus days unless this changed recently or with the UK leaving the EU.

6.) 20 Jan 2018 12:38:53
Yeah I’ve had a chance to read about this now, it’s 2 years for people coming from Spanish/ Portuguese speaking countries and former Spanish colonies. im not going to bother going into the bit spout Spanish grandparents and marriage to a Spanish citizen.

7.) 22 Jan 2018 15:30:42
Hopefully someone has considered that him being a Spanish citizen in 2 years time might be utterly irrelevant to getting a work permit here.

Hi Eds and fellow Reds.

This is my first post. Im an avid reader but have never posted. I have no inside info and am not in the know on anything. Lifelong Red and currently a corporate employed by LFC's number one sponsor.

Reading posts for years, I just want to give a massive shout out to Ed 2. Solid. Honest. Does all he can to not mislead the public. Really appreciate all the Eds.

Great job.

{Ed002's Note - Welcome, you are very sweet.}

Cheers mate. I have one question, would like your opinion please. As you are not a Liverpool supporter and clearly have very good contacts. Do too players in Europe really want to play for Liverpool over other English sides? What is the real reason Liverpool cannot sign the stature of players the Mancs and Chelsea can? Is it negligence on the part of the club or have we actually lost the power to sign top players?

{Ed002's Note - It will come as a shock but not all players grew up Liverpool supporters and want to play for the club. In terms of Manchester United, Chelsea and others getting “the pick” of players, it is simply down to success.}

2.) 13 Jan 2018 22:50:46
Surely “post of the day” contender Ed002?

{Ed002's Note - The hamper is on way.}

3.) 13 Jan 2018 23:39:33
What is in the hamper these days?

{Ed002's Note - Gin.}

4.) 14 Jan 2018 00:11:29
Very fashionable.

{Ed002's Note - We are a very hip, now and happening crowd. the People Who Are if you will.}

5.) 14 Jan 2018 00:22:15
Ed002 which gin do you prefer.

I like Bombay Sapphire with Fever Tree tonic but recently I have really enjoyed the rhubarb and ginger flavoured gin from Edinburgh Gin Company-

Artisan gins are enjoying a bit of a renaissance at the moment-

I suspect that you may not be too well acquainted with rhubarb- The best is grown up here in Yorkshire but people talk a lot of rhubarb throughout the country-.

{Ed002's Note - I like the Bombay Dry rather that the Sapphire - which is baby oil like, Sipsmiths and M&S’s own. My youngest daughter likes the Rhubarb gin. Against the grain, check out Manchester Gin. I always buy a bottle in different counties and there are a bunch to be opened.}

6.) 14 Jan 2018 00:46:09
There is a Liverpool Gin which I got as a Christmas present but I haven’t tried it yet. It has some Valencia Orange flavour apparently, There is a Liver bird on the label

Thank you for the recommendations but rather childishly I won’t try the Manchester Gin but I will look out for Bombay Dry and Sipsmiths,

7.) 14 Jan 2018 01:16:17
I love Rhubarb gin, not tried it for a while, until tomorrow that is!

8.) 14 Jan 2018 01:40:13
OMG Eds002 is a drinks guru now, worst I've been is a toss up between ting Tau 8* (think it's about 12%) and green chatrose spelling.

9.) 14 Jan 2018 02:16:24
Hendricks for me, with slice of cucumber of course.

10.) 14 Jan 2018 03:41:40
What's your favourite gin ed? I've had to acquire the taste of it over the years.

{Ed002's Note - See above.}

11.) 14 Jan 2018 06:16:21
Try 78 degreees or four pillars. Both Aussie guns and truly delicious.

{Ed002's Note - I'll look out for them.}

12.) 14 Jan 2018 07:54:28
I was pleasantly surprised by Edinburgh gin last weekend. Really nice. That said, most gins go down well!

13.) 14 Jan 2018 09:25:45
Try Gunpowder Gin, it’s irish and really nice to drink. Or the latest one I found in Portugal (I’m sure they sell it here) is Blackwoods - but beware, it’s a serious session juice as it’s 60%! I had 4 and suddenly became the most amusing person on the planet (to me) 🤣.

14.) 14 Jan 2018 10:16:24
Anything else in the hamper or is it just a crate of gin?

{Ed002's Note - Just gin.}
