Afternoon Eds. Rare poster. Avid reader. And your views and insights are always appreciated. I trust you can keep your sanity over the coming months, with all talk of marquee signings, smoke screens, and men spotted on the back of motorbikes on their way from the airport together with their Mr. 10%. Good luck. Like Ed001, I hope that we flutter our eyelids at Klopp and that he is taken in by our loving advances. But I'll assume not. And whilst there is lots to be optimistic about (I well appreciate that there'll opposing views on that one), I just wanted to show my respect for the 39 victims of Heysel. I recall watching the game on TV all those years ago. Just a kid at the time but remember just utter bemusement at what unfolded. And when you get older, and have kids yourself, you absolutely understand that no one should go to a football match and not come home. I don't know what the two clubs have done, tangibly, to help the families of the victims but a memorial match with proceeds donated would be a start and certainly an acknowledgment of accountability. Here's hoping. M

Who should show accountability matt? Uefa for holding the game in a crumbling death trap of a stadium I presume?

2.) 29 May 2015 20:28:03
Hey Waro. Certainly Uefa have to account for some of the blame as the stadium was appalling. But likewise the two clubs involved have not been active enough to try and right previous wrongs and I am not sure why that should be. Again, Uefa have to share some blame but our club should also step up. I believe there is a memorial this year but too little too late.

Mario? Liverpool? It’s a blend of shock and amusement, much like when I found out that the Krankies were swingers. Good luck lad (assuming it happens).

Talk**** confirm that Konoplyanka would rather get into bed with Brendon than Tim. Or something like that. Hopefully we’ll soon hear reports about him being asked to cough for the Anfield doctors, after being in the air for 72 hours. got to love deadline day.

Reading some reports that we are linked with Yarmalenko and odds are being slashed. No idea at all if accurate and just passing on. Not much on him having done a search on here but let's see. His profile would seem to fit with what we are after. Matt

Ed002 - that quashes my take on wonderdogsparky. Wrongly assumed the reference to Percy was a gentle nod to the 1963 album A Look At Monaco by Percy Faith. Which obviously meant Lemar was the new room mate. You big tease :)

Ed002 - I would have thought that Sparky would be delighted. He can put the For Rent sign back in the basement. Pls pass on thanks to WDS.

Matthino

{Ed002's Note - You can do that yourself on Twitter I undertsand.}

Thanks as always Macca. Much appreciated.

Seems like the lad has behaved impeccably. My favorite player too. Can’t blame him for wanting to go, and will wish him the best of luck if it transpires, but I’ll just be sorry to see him go.

This window’s proving painful. And I’d agree on wondering (with some trepidation) what the ramifications are, both for Klopp and Club. An important few weeks coming up.

Thanks again Macca and brgds,

Matthino

According to posting history here, a player normally travels on 20 flights and has 30 medicals. Throw in a Harley and then, only then, do you have your man :)

Fowler was one of the best of all time. No comparison. Daniel is clearly very talented but perhaps lacks the pressing style Klopp is after. He has some work to do.

"This may be the most Arsenal summer Arsenal have ever had". Brilliant. That made me smile.
