Why would he have a medical but officially become a player next season.

Think he is being loaned back to Leipzig, hence the medical. Otherwise a fantastic signing for the club. Readymade replacement for Coutinho desperate to play for LFC. What else could u ask for? And Lemar will just be the icing on the cake.

L'Equipe has reported that Liverpool have bid 72 million on Lemar with 8million add ons. I'm assuming it's paper talk but I just want confirmation.

He said he was unsure whether the Keita transfer relies on the sale of Coutinho.

Keita is the midfielder Klopp wants. Coutinho was intended to be played in midfield this season so Keita would be his obvious replacement.
Trust me, FSG and Klopp will go all out for Keita now. They know the squad is weak and Coutinho's departure will simply leave the fanbase reeling. We need to sign VVD and Keita now otherwise this will go down as one big disappointing transfer window.
