Hello Ed001,
I just read from a Facebook group that Ryan Kent has removed all photos of him as a Liverpool player on social media as well as unfollowed the club. Also that he's absolutely pissed up that the club has effectively priced him out of a move. Now, I'm sure I once read you're not a big fan of social media and stuff but can you confirm the latter part? And what do you make of all this?

Rangers have signed Brandon Parker, assuming that was the other option to Kent.
I would be very surprised if he still was with us by the end of the window.

ed001 for the scotish young player of the year is 7m to much to ask if he was there player after getting the young player of the year what value would they put on him if so club come calling. my be we should have given him another loan, that will help him grow as a player but if that is was we value him at why should we just letting him go.

If rumours are right, Ryan Kent should focus his anger at Rangers and SG as they have not seen fit to bid for someone who had an asking price dropped from £15m to £7m. and my understanding is that LFC is willing to accept £5m with add-ons.

Ed001 I know there is not a lot off good players up there but the Scottish teams seem to won’t top prices for there players when selling but never expect to pay anything when buying well Celtic and rangers do any way and just bully every team up there and get there players for next to nothing. But I do think the club should have given him another loan he seemed to get better as the season went in so as long as they was paying all his wages it would have only benefited all 3 parties.

Liverpool should loan him out at the very least. The club wanted to sell Wilson and Kent. They didn't sell either but only Wilson gets to go out on loan? Seems weird to me, makes no sense to keep him.

Wilson got loaned to Bournemouth a PL team who play a system to suit his style, Brooks flourished in that role last season and injured for a few months, was a great fit for Wilson to move there.
No point in a random loan if it doesn't benefit, Kent showed his standard at rangers last year, we've set our price, another loan means he's a year older and a year less on his contract, why just give him back on loan to them? We're right to seek a permanent transfer at a fair fee.
Wilson's loan is a fresh upgrade in standard of quality team/ league. loaning Kent again to SPL would be of little benefit realistically.

Our goal difference is so much better than our rivals' and I find it really refreshing. Long may it continue. No one can tell if that might be the difference in the end. This season could be decided by the tiniest of margins.

I think it may come down to goal difference, too, it seems very competitive this year. I also think a lot will depend on what Origi and Minamino (and the returning Firmino and Elliott) can do during the Afcon absences.

It was a Friday night game and that was the worst feeling I’ve ever had waking up on the Saturday morning as a Liverpool supporter.

I thought it was a midweek game as I had to go to school the next day and get the piss taken out of me from every teacher and my school mates. As you can imagine in London I was one of the very few Liverpool fans at my school and I got the puss taken out of me by everyone teachers and pupils alike, especially the PE teacher who was a proper prick. Anyway I completely empathize with you about the feeling of dread waking up the next morning it was awful and echoing what you said was the worst feeling ever. I’ll never forget McMahon saying ‘one more minute’ and then Thomas scores and then I turn off the tv and the rest is just history and pathos.

Wombat, whilst it's obviously not outright impossible for them to catch us and I'm under no illusions about that, it's unlikely.
We've dropped 19 points in the league since the start of last season. A year and a half. Even if Man City win every game between now and May, we'd need to drop 14 in just over half a season. I don't see how that's going to happen. I genuinely think it's game over for them this season. They won't catch us.
And to be honest, the fact that Leicester are still only 8 behind (I'm assuming they'll win tomorrow) is good for us because it'll guard against complacency for our boys.

We have had worse injury problems. Differences are John stones 50mil and Joel Matip free. Rodri 70mil, fab 40mil. There are loads of examples of klopps better recruitment. For the price of sterling we can buy mane AND origi.

There is honestly no way on this earth that Leicester will finish with more than 85 points never mind 90! They won the league with 80 points with no one else playing so against a strong City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs they have no chance whatsoever.
City are the main rivals and they have massively dropped the ball. I really can’t see them catching us now. We’d have to lose 5 games or draw 8 out of 22. We’ve lost 1 in 50 odd! That’s if they win every game!
If we should ever have confidence in this team it should be now. We have rotated and still won easily. We are scoring goals from midfield which was always apparently a weakness. I’m not saying we’ve won it already but realistically it’s in the bag. Surely everyone feels that?

Their biggest mistake was not replacing kompany. Just 1 injury to laporte has seen them now in disarray. Fernandinho not being able to play in their midfield as a result they are vulnerable in nearly every game when teams counter attack them. United were cutting them wide open every attack, Chelsea too should have hurt them. Their lack of leaders since kompany has seen them lose that ruthless winning mentality. Newcastle, wolves with late blows and Norwich too showing that this city side isn't to be feared like the teams of last 2 seasons.
They look likely to drop more points in upcoming games than we do, arsenal away and Leicester next 2 games, 2 sides with pacy attacks which city have struggled against. They've dropped more points in the etihad this season already than they probably did last 3 years combined. Let's not fear them, we're playing at a much higher level than them.

I know we shouldn’t count our chickens and all that but if this was another team not Liverpool in the position we are in we’d all be saying they won’t be caught.
The team needs to stay grounded and keep doing what they’re doing of course the PL is unforgiving and the slightest drop off could leave the door ajar for City and they are capable of bursting through it.
As fans though I don’t see anything wrong with being confident. I have massive faith in Klopp and this team that they won’t let their standards slip and if they don’t then the league is won.

City are said to be a billion pound team, having spent over 300m - 400m on GK's and defenders alone YET when only one defender (I know, Laporte is class) suddenly that is to blame for their issues? Sorry, both of those things cannot be correct at the same time.
City's problems are numerous and just Laporte's injury or Pep's inability or arrogance of not buying a CB capable of defending against a chair, does not explain all of them. Pep is the one who spent 130m YET on Rodri and Cancelo yet no CB. Pep is the one who has spent 150m worth on FB's yet signed Cancelo for 62m and the guy does not even play. Pep is the one who refused to change his style of play when it is clear that when out of possession, they are sitting ducks and if even Newcastle could expose this, what did he think Utd (who are built to exploit such failings) was going to do?
City are where they are this season because of Pep and Pep ALONE. He made the decisions and his actions or in-actions have led him to where he is now and people need to say it and not give him a pass and shield him with the whole "injuries, VAR, etc. ) schstick we are being fed by his syncophants in the media.

Van de Berg can not do a job, no chance he is a mile away. IMO he will never play a PL game for Liverpool. Hoover can not play cb either. Watch some of the u23 games and they can't defend.

Hi Ed 1, what's your guts feeling regarding Allison's injury? Do you think it will keep him out for long? If so, do you believe that Adrian will be okay in the interim?
{Ed001's Note - it is a calf problem, which is good as I was worried it would be ankle by the way his ankle went at the time. It could be anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months, but I do fear from his description of it popping that it is a tear rather than a strain. In which case it depends on the severity but it is months rather than weeks. Fingers crossed I am wrong and it is just a strain.}

What did you think of Adrian Ed001? Looked good to me. Passing was crisp. Long kicks where accurate. Saved everything he should have saved which you could never say about Mignolet. I think he'll fill in well for as long as we need him too.

Spot on, Ed. I always thought Adrian was a pretty good GK at WH. He was definitely better than the dreadful Joe Hart who he was unceremoniously benched for. I would also be more nervous were Migs still here to step in so for me right now, Allison is no longer here to start for us so we have to support Adrian full pelt, come hell or high water cos he is going to need it.
