Ed002, would you possibly be able to give a brief rundown of the players you are aware Liverpool have interest in and what you think the possibility of each one is?

I know you would have mentioned them all from time to time around the different posts but It would be great to have a current list all in one place.

Thanks in advance.

Nutmonkey

{Ed002's Note - It is too early at this time and generally targets will remain the same. So the likes of Carvalho remains of interest and of course Bowen would still be an option if Salah were to leave.}

1.) 23 Mar 2022 12:18:06
Got my fingers crossed for Darwin, he would fit in nicely.

{Ed002's Note - I very much doubt Nunez will be joining Liverpool.}

2.) 23 Mar 2022 13:47:50
Bowen to replace salah? That's a depressing thought.

{Ed002's Note - Klopp has the Klippertys for him.}

3.) 23 Mar 2022 17:09:54
The same was said about Traore. look what happened there. That being said if klopp wants someone then we trust in him.

4.) 23 Mar 2022 18:12:26
Konate Thiago Jota Diaz. We only sign proper players now, whoever comes will be good.

5.) 24 Mar 2022 06:27:42
I’m sure the ‘Naby Appreciation Society’ would disagree and there is a bit of doubt growing about Jota’s ability (2nd highest scorer in the Premier League apparently notwithstanding) ….

6.) 24 Mar 2022 08:23:28
I cannot understand the Jota criticism at all.

Each forward player brings something different and that’s why it’s such a good front 6.

Jota scores goals, important goals.

Bobby offers better buildup play, Diaz offers incredible pace and dribbling ability, Mane is incredibly physical and powerful can hold the ball up and put players on the back foot… I love them all and could praise them all day.

He’s not perfect by any means but that’s what Liverpool do, we buy diamonds in the rough and polish them into excellent players with time and good coaching.

7.) 24 Mar 2022 08:57:55
Bowen would be a nice addition to the front line. the idea that he'd be replacing Mo tho? c'mon. The front line would have a clear front 4 plus Bowen unless Bowen came in and turned into BOWEN like how Mo made his name here. Which is entirely possible!

8.) 24 Mar 2022 17:41:24
Have you not watched Bowen play the guy is quality, I don't get bitching about Jota either, he is a great and the closest we have seen to Robbie by his movements and finishing.

9.) 25 Mar 2022 06:41:37
Who is even whinging about Jota? The bloke has exceeded all expectations since coming in. Sure he’s more of an out an out goalscorer in the 9 position than we have been used to the last few years, but I am fine with that personally.

I live in Poole and have seen Souness shopping in M&S in Westbourne a few times. I saw him this week looking at the soup section and he chose OXtail. I spoke to him at the till and asked if he had any inside info and he put 2 fingers up at me on each hand in a VV shape.

He was clearly giving signals as to who we will sign next ;)

Nutmonkey

1.) 08 Aug 2017 10:18:17
So we are signing Spock? Lol.

2.) 08 Aug 2017 10:19:16
Thank god he didn't pick up the Mario Batali sauce!

3.) 08 Aug 2017 10:32:47
Souness shops in lidl, he pushes king kenny round in the trolley, so u know you have fabricated that rumour.

4.) 08 Aug 2017 10:43:37
M&S? Messi and Suarez.

5.) 08 Aug 2017 11:32:27
Are you sure the V V signs meant that?

When your an ex top player, playing in a top team, giving top analysis on a top satelite channel, separating the men from the boys, you don tike to be disturbed when choosing your top soup for big boys.

6.) 08 Aug 2017 13:41:57
OP, your creativity needs some work but you get a "A" for effort.

Hi all, I live in Bournemouth and heard last time that Liverpool came down to play, the squad went for a walk in Bournemouth Gardens. I'd love to be able to get my son there if they do it next week but just wondered if there are any other fans local to me that know if they did this the day before the match or on the morning of the game?

Nutmonkey

1.) 05 Mar 2023 21:01:37
Think they do both. They stay at the Hilton. My pal is going down there at 5am to see the players etc!

2.) 05 Mar 2023 21:46:37
Why are players up at 5:00am in the morning, and what do they do at that time? ?.

3.) 06 Mar 2023 05:26:30
Face east and sing the company song?

4.) 06 Mar 2023 06:47:04
WDW, in team kit or are pyjamas permitted? ?.

05 May 2022 00:42:17
As mentioned in a previous post, I am going to be in Paris for the final but no ticket. Would it be expected that there is another fan zone set up similar to what there was in Madrid? And of so, anyone have any idea where this might be?

Just trying to work out where I should be aiming for on the Sat afternoon.

Nutmonkey

{Ed0666's Note - I’ll be in Paris without a ticket also. Is prefer to watch in a bar than a fan zone tho.

1.) 05 May 2022 06:45:30
We all meeting?!

2.) 05 May 2022 07:05:20
Ill be in Paris with my lad, also without a ticket, anyone got any recommendations for a venue?

27 Apr 2022 16:32:09
So, if we are able to navigate past Villareal, I am planning to travel over to Paris for the final. No ticket but would love to experience the atmosphere that I saw from Madrid.

Not followed the Reds abroad before. Would there be organised coaches for supporters in general or just for ones with tickets?

Nutmonkey

1.) 27 Apr 2022 18:18:39
I went to the 2007 final with no ticket, it was a great occasion apart from the result! 3 days of utter madness as couldn’t get a ferry back to santorini for a after the final! There were so many fellow reds it was just brilliant to meet all the different people, family’s young lads old boys who could hardly walk but loved the game! I would recommend mate! I have kids now who are too young to go but hopefully in the future we are still competing and we can have nights like these for years to come!

2.) 27 Apr 2022 18:21:08
Also a guy in a full gimp suit with sissoko on his back! Had to mention him as it was so hot that day! Plus I loved sissoko!

3.) 27 Apr 2022 23:46:37
I've just booked a flight from Canada and a hotel for a few nights, and entered the ticket lottery. It actually closes tomorrow, but is still open - can apply for you plus one. Get yourself into it. Myself and the friend I'm going with have both applied, so fingers crossed between the two of us one of us is lucky.

Application is online at the UEFA website.

Good luck!

Anyone else going?

4.) 28 Apr 2022 08:37:24
If we get to the last game of PL with a win taking out out for us im flying my mum over with me from Australia. Would love to be in Liverpool for the celebrations and would then get a flight to Paris. Just joined the lottery just in case. Mum was born in Liverpool, grew on up Ince Ave, stones throw from Anfield. Would love to share the moment with her.

5.) 28 Apr 2022 10:36:31
I've just entered the lottery! Closes at 2pm today. Worth a punt! I wonder if the tickets can be transferred? I put mine and my wife's details as you needed to put a passport number in. Obviously not going with the wife! Lol.

6.) 28 Apr 2022 15:37:16
Thanks Mahonen, I have got my name into the lottery.

I'm going with my 18yr old son. have got and Air BNB booked a few KM's from the Stade De France but just trying to work out best way to get there. Was thinking to avoid the Eurotunnel with the way things are traffic wise but Eurostar and flying are bonkers prices on the Friday.

Might start walking now.

11 Dec 2020 12:07:28
So with Spurs coming up quickly after Fulham and with both Jota and Salah playing all or most of the match on Weds, who do you think are likely starters on Sunday?

I think Bobby for sure but then not sure if either Mo or Jota will be on bench!?!

Nutmonkey

1.) 11 Dec 2020 12:44:45
Have just seen that Jota got a knock on Weds so doubt he will start. Usual front 3?

2.) 11 Dec 2020 12:54:40
Tbh absolutely not having a go at Jota but last 3 occasions he's played I think he's been quite poor.

I'd play the usual front 3, who knows he could throw all 4 at them as do we really need a extra midfielder against Fulham?

3.) 11 Dec 2020 13:14:08
Jota out for a month then? Probably see him again in March.

4.) 11 Dec 2020 14:10:18
TheUnbearableReds, I had made this point before. Jota is still learning the system as our front three is not all about goals. His goals clearly help but apart from that, his overall game still needs a lot of work and those growing pains are what you have been seeing.

Even in the games he scored in vs BHA and even Leicester, I thought he was poor overall in both games; Let us give him time to acclimatize to how we play and he will be fine. My fear is that when he stops scoring, the knives all be out for him just for that alone.

5.) 11 Dec 2020 15:08:21
I don’t think Jota has been great overall in his last few games but to say he was poor is a bit extreme. He’s definitely not as fluid as our usual front 3 but there’s a massive difference between not playing to your potential and have a decent to good game and a poor game.

6.) 11 Dec 2020 16:21:39
JK23, I disagree. Jota still has issues with his decision-making, his passing, his touch at the decisive moment after running with the ball cos he often runs with his head down a bit too much. These are just the few things off the top of my head that I have seen in these past games, whether he was scoring or not.

It is not about fluidity, IMO cos if it was, you would see some improvement in these areas but things may not come off but you can see what he is trying to do. That is not what is happening here, in my view. These are the things he lacks right now and I don't blame him cos well, Wolves did not require all these qualities for him to flourish over there. Over here, just scoring goals won't cut it.

Once again, I love Jota and I was one of those who was chuffed to bits when we signed him and he is a beast in front of goal. Flat out, lethal with both feet and his head. To me, these are just the rough edges in his game that need ironing out with time and as long as he is scoring, it will only help him develop quicker.

7.) 11 Dec 2020 16:50:04
With all them flaws perhaps we should look to sell in Jan then 🤦🏻‍♂️ After all we don’t want players who have issues with passing, decision making, touch and supposedly performing poor. I wonder if Klopp shares the same opinion 😜.

8.) 11 Dec 2020 17:18:56
I'd be playing Origi on the left, Firmino and Mane, then decide whether to bring on Salah if needed, or else Minamino.

9.) 11 Dec 2020 17:39:38
Jota out.

10.) 11 Dec 2020 20:39:50
Please, if we are being honest Origi has offered absolutely nothing for a long time now and wouldn’t have him anywhere near our starting line up. Yes, he has popped up in big moments and will be forever grateful but let’s call a spade a spade. Mane, Firmino and Taki giving Salah a rest but Salah seems to be a machine and won’t be surprised if he starts.

11.) 11 Dec 2020 21:17:01
SGRED. You’d play origi! Why would you do that! Play your best team and get the win. No way would turn up with weakened team just because its Fulham.

12.) 11 Dec 2020 22:45:41
Good job your not the manager SG. Of course Salah will play. He is out main goal threat.

13.) 12 Dec 2020 01:35:29
Can’t believe some of these posts Regarding Jota🤦🏻‍♂️ The lad has just signed and is scoring for fun but you lot can’t enjoy it 🤷‍♀️ You all sitting watching and analysing instead of enjoying what’s the point? Boils my piss. Love the lot of them and I’m enjoying being a red more than I can ever remember and I was there from end of shanks beginning Paisley loved it . Carry on jota lad your doing boss mate.

{Ed0666's Note - I’m picturing you boiling you’re piss on the stove. Anyway you’re right mate he’s only been at the club 5 minutes let’s give him a chance to learn the way we play then hammer him lol

14.) 12 Dec 2020 01:39:39
Origi, a sub maybe. But definitely not a starter.

15.) 12 Dec 2020 03:38:16
It seems I’m in the minority then on Origi 😂 I just think we need to rest Salah after Weds and give him a rest before Tottenham, but with Jota out, its between Minamino and Origi.

Origi has not been playing great, but then I think he looks far better on the left where he gets more space than playing upfront, and he’s also more of a natural goalscorer vs Minamino.

I wouldn’t be unhappy to see Taki instead though, it’s a close call.

16.) 12 Dec 2020 04:34:07
Some of you guys need to relax 😂😂 Geeeeez. You're allowed to say a guy has played poorly in the last few games without calling for his head.

This thread needs deleting and never to see the light of day again it's embarrassing 😂.

17.) 12 Dec 2020 07:54:21
SGRED your missing the point. You want to rest salah for wed but we have a game on Sunday. What if we rested him and got a draw how does that help us. Salah is also looking like he’s back to he’s best so why not just unleash him against Fulham. You never know it mite even help us on Wednesday.

18.) 12 Dec 2020 08:06:11
JK, So talking about a player’s flaws (some of which several including Ed01 have mentioned) now means I know better than Klopp or want him sold? If that is what you were capable of understanding from my comments then, I cannot help you here cos nuance is not your thing clearly.

Also, I see that you resorted to sarcasm, strawman arguments and made points I never made, in your response to my post instead of actually addressing the points I actually made in there. Your lack of a clear rebuttal to my argument is good enuff for me. Peace.

19.) 12 Dec 2020 02:15:46
Ed 666. stove 😂😂😂.

20.) 12 Dec 2020 15:01:32
Brilliant ed066. Good to see a bit of comedy and tongue in cheek on a banter page.

{Ed0666's Note - I’ve got the stove on as I write JK23 😂

21.) 12 Dec 2020 16:54:07
Spot on LA, Jota has been here five minutes and the there are those “ finding flaws “ in his game, you just couldn’t script it.

He just has won the PFA Premier League Fans' Player of the Month award for November but others know best 🙄.

{Ed0666's Note - I personally think his haircut is too sensible also.

22.) 12 Dec 2020 17:15:19
Drogie love it mate.

23.) 12 Dec 2020 19:46:47
Deciding to play a near full strength team vs Midgetland was a great idea.

04 Mar 2018 10:15:28
My son has just shown me a pic that Salah put on his Instagram story showing his ankle in some kind of ice pack. Any idea if he has a serious issue?

Nutmonkey

1.) 04 Mar 2018 10:23:38
Nothing serious, will probably sit out the game vs Porto.

2.) 04 Mar 2018 10:34:02
Interesting to see what the team is v Porto. CL is a massive game and Utd are up next.

3.) 04 Mar 2018 10:47:58
For Porto I’d bench Salah, Firmino and Mane.
The rest of the team should be fringe players.
I’d start Karius, he’s in form and has good momentum.
I’d pick Klavan, Matip, Moreno and Gomez/ Clyne in defence. Not sure about Gomez fitness.
Midfield would be Milner, Wijnaldum and Can
Forwards would be Lallana, Solanke and Woodburn.

There is no way we should concede 5 goals but if we do concede 4 then bring on the forwards. 🤝.

4.) 04 Mar 2018 10:57:07
Agreed Ron, I'd love to see Woodburn given some game time, as well as Ings.

5.) 04 Mar 2018 11:03:32
I'd go with that Ron except my subs would be on at 3. Id also like to see Ings get a chance. Ings, Solanke and Lallana for me.

6.) 04 Mar 2018 11:14:53
Wouldn’t mess with the back 4 maybe get to ht an sub the full backs if it’s going well.

7.) 04 Mar 2018 11:17:14
Full strength eleven for the first half, then bench our forwards for defensive-minded players in the second.

8.) 04 Mar 2018 11:49:20
I wouldn't change too much. Maybe Woodburn in for Salah, Solanke/ Ings in for Bobby, Lallana in for Ox, Milner in for Can and maybe Moreno in for Robbo.

Wins breed confidence!

I wouldn't risk making wholesale changes and disrupting the flow of the team.

9.) 04 Mar 2018 13:40:10
I'd go Karius Gomez lovren vvd Robertson - keep a similar back five. Milner, gini, can, solanke, mane lallana. Still strong, youth on the bench, plus firmino and Salah just in case.

10.) 04 Mar 2018 14:29:09
I get the feeling klopp will go nearly full strength, i can see lallana, milner and gomez coming in for henderson, trent and salah. I wouldn't like it if he changed much more than that, even with a 5-0 lead.

11.) 04 Mar 2018 16:18:14
We may be 5 up but now is not the time to play the kids. We scored 5 so in theory so can they. I think we should rest a few, salah and mane maybe but we still need to field a decent team.

12.) 04 Mar 2018 18:28:32
It’s harder to score 5 when you’re 5 behind.
Get 2 and you’re still faced with a massive ask.
Conversely get 2 up in the first game and your opponents have to take some risks to get back in the game.

5-0 up, this tie is over IMO.

The amount of thumbs up on kemlyns post seems to suggest quite a few feel the same way. I agree that there is sometimes uneccessary insults in Ed's replies which is a shame as the site is a great place for info and banter. As the others have said, I hope I don't get banned as am only saying how I feel and not being abusive or rude. There is just no need to get as personal as it gets sometimes. Surely a better way would be not posting stupid posts rather than allowing them and then abusing?

I'd be gutted in one way if your prediction was right Ed25, Utd are the last team I want to win in. is even rather your lot won it :) . I think 4th is about right for us. maybe 3rd with some luck.

Come on Ed 1 and 2.there will be a prize for the closest Ed :)

{Ed001's Note - I do not do predictions, they are bad luck.}
