Just on the subject of Middlesbrough does anyone else think Adama Traore could be worth a shout in the summer? I know his downfalls he's greedy, picks the wrong ball, has no real quality on the ball and he seems to be one of those players that could have issues with his temperament (I'll stand corrected on that if anyone knows different) but his pace is frightening and can really stretch teams. At the right price, less than £15mil I think he'd be a potent weapon from the bench and could be coached in to a better player. It's a risk but what does everyone else think?

1.) 17 May 2017 09:50:33
I think you answered your own question pip.

2.) 17 May 2017 09:55:18
Big risk and we already have Mane - rather we spent our funds on the area's we really need strengthening in.

3.) 17 May 2017 09:56:45
I know but he just has all the physical attributes to be a really good player! Except perhaps talent ;-)

4.) 17 May 2017 09:58:13
Come on pip, you should have realised halfway through writing this.

5.) 17 May 2017 10:04:46
You're probably right Hjikle but I just can't help thinking with that pace he has in a better side he could be lethal. Like I said it's a risk but I do love a player with lightening pace.

6.) 17 May 2017 10:05:25
Every time I see him I think that he's basically just Zaha but not quite as good.

And Zaha is not great.

So I would much rather give the role you are suggesting to Ojo or Wilson or Kent and use that £15mill elsewhere.

{Ed002's Note - What £15M? Why don't you propose not buying Neymar and using the £100M elsewhere?}

7.) 17 May 2017 10:10:29
Pip he seems to have no end product I would rather have ojo step up. Barca let him go for a reason like most kids these days they get a contract of a big club and think they have made it when really the hard works just begun you never know mind we got gini of a relegated club and he's been a vital cog in our team this season.

8.) 17 May 2017 10:13:13
On this basis I must be worth a shout.
I have all the physical attributes and no talent.
Anyone know a good agent? 🤠.

9.) 17 May 2017 10:19:01
I'm lost Ed002? The original post said £15mill?

{Ed002's Note - Is this the £15M Liverpool have set aside to spend on him?}

10.) 17 May 2017 10:20:27
Red is just using that figure because it's a figure I used Ed and I only used that figure as I don't think he's worth any more than that at the moment. I understand people saying about Ojo and Wilson etc. but it seems to me that Klopp doesn't fancy them or he would've thrown them in this season when Mane's been out when we were crying out for some pace in the team.

{Ed002's Note - And Klipperty has the hots for AT does he?}

11.) 17 May 2017 10:24:07
Ron I'd sign you just to keep everyone's spirits up 👍.

12.) 17 May 2017 10:25:26
I don't know Ed that's what you're here for 😉.

13.) 17 May 2017 10:26:54
No I just meant that the original poster had advocated spending £15mill on Adama Traore.

And I stated that we have players who can fill the role that he was suggesting, a sub who might come good, at the club already.

So instead of spending £15mill on Adama Traore I would rather use the money elsewhere.

Never suggested that Liverpool have £15mill set aside for Traore, it was the original post that stated that's what we should spend on him. Which I think would be a waste of £15mill.

14.) 17 May 2017 10:32:55
Woodburn then pip?

15.) 17 May 2017 10:33:05
Woodburn**.

16.) 17 May 2017 10:53:42
Cheers pip, I want my image rights protecting though 😎.

17.) 17 May 2017 11:04:11
Thomas Cook. . Ron.

18.) 17 May 2017 11:09:59
No worries Ron we'll need someone to do that when Lucas goes. Jamesy I like Woodburn and Klopp obviously likes him but he's hardly got that raw pace that Traore possesses. I doubt Ron has either but when it comes to positivity there's no one better 👍.

{Ed001's Note - I would rather put Ron in the team personally, he would have to be better than Traore.}

19.) 17 May 2017 12:40:47
He's also been relegated twice in two seasons for two different clubs. It's got to say something.

20.) 17 May 2017 18:58:07
come on mate, he may be very fast but he doesn't know where his legs are, let alone where the ball is in relation to his feet.

21.) 17 May 2017 22:25:39
Ron I've got $5 spare to buy your image rights. Come to Oz and Ill buy you a beer to seal the deal:-)

22.) 18 May 2017 07:18:24
You're on phil 👌.

I wear my lucky Liverpool shirt for every game and it only gets washed when we lose. It does sometimes get very smelly but at the moment it is far too clean for my liking. That's all I have to say on the matter. Bring on Southampton on Wednesday when I will be wearing said clean Liverpool shirt in the Main Stand. I bet the fella who sits next to me prays for a defeat sometimes.

1.) 20 Jan 2017 21:55:14
Haha love it lol

2.) 20 Jan 2017 22:01:17
We've had a sticky patch but now our best players are back fit with Mane to come. It is going to be interesting very interesting!

3.) 20 Jan 2017 22:08:50
Just the boost we needed, hope he plays tomorrow in lieu of Klavan.

4.) 21 Jan 2017 07:13:37
With you there Higgins, just need to get Origi and Studge amongst the goals again.

See Firmino says his dentist helped him launch his career and has been very good to him. That makes so much sense.

Pipsscreamer

1.) 05 Jan 2017 19:05:12
In a culture where large areas are poverty stricken or just on the breadline community servants, and especially highly educated ones like doctors, dentists and school teachers, often become something of a community leader. I don't think Firmino exactly grew up in a favela but it's very possibly that the local dentist was a 'big man' of the neighbourhood and very involved in community projects and affairs.

2.) 05 Jan 2017 19:32:35
Thanks hjikle that's actually a great response but I was more referring to the blinding whiteness of his gnashers! 😂.

3.) 05 Jan 2017 20:10:37
Ah humour. Yes. I've heard of this concept.

28 Dec 2016 00:35:40
Was at the game today and must say the atmosphere seemed much better than it has been in the past. Could be that I was in the Anfield Road end instead of my usual Main Stand seat or maybe the doubters are becoming believers? In any case it was good to hear the fans actually supporting the team instead of just slagging them off every time they play a pass that dares to not find it's target. Loved singing merry Christmas Everton! 😂.

I think you're all missing the point here. How many of us thought Mane was as good as he is? Wanyama? Kane? THe player is the raw material but it's then about how you use them. Stop judging players on how they play at their current clubs under their current manager and trust the men that matter to get the right ones and use them in the right way.

I agree with the ed on this one. Lucas has never been good enough and has been fortunate to be at the club at all never mind for 10 years. Lovely bloke but bang average player and that's being kind.

He's a decent player and would give us more creativity in the final third. Is he worth the money he'd want? Probably not but would still welcome him if he came. He won't though.

Was Studge the difference yesterday? Not for me. I think it was more a case of replacing Lucas with Lallana gave us more movement and creativity in midfield. Add to that Couts playing deeper we actually had a threat coming from deep and midfielders willing to run beyond the strikers pulling their centre backs about.

Studge hasn't been explosive for three years! He's just either made of glass or plain lazy. Shame because he could've been one of the worlds best strikers.

Bless you Ed. As much as it's nonsense we all have to have a dream ;-)

Pipsscreamer

{Ed025's Note - it was a dream pip but now its reality and when we get our new dockland stadium in the near future you will be green with envy, there is a shift of power happening on merseyside and i cant wait, maybe we will throw you a bone and loan you niasse for a season or something just to be neighbourly mate.. :)

The table always lies Ed. It said Leicester were the best team last season when clearly they weren't. It even said Everton were 7th this season when clearly Sunderland were better ;-)

Pipsscreamer

{Ed025's Note - it never lies pip, leicester were the best side last year, and yes we were 7th best but that is temporary as we will be challenging the reds for that 4th spot next season, both of us are not good enough to challenge the big teams yet though mate..

For all we know the club could be the ones to move him on to drum up funds for other transfers. So even if he truly does want to stay it doesn't mean he will. Let's just wait and see.
