Hey eds heard from a few people who are reliable that Ings and Origi are probably going to leave the club on loan? any truth in this?

Punjabi_LFC

{Ed001's Note - Ings is very likely to have a loan to rebuild fitness, Origi is far too early to tell.}

1.) 19 Jun 2017 16:41:26
Both Should go out on Loan. That would leave us with Firmino, Sturridge and Solanke.

2.) 19 Jun 2017 16:53:28
Cheers for the quick reply.

3.) 19 Jun 2017 17:02:32
Ings makes sense to me - we already have 5 strikers with Solanke joining. Origi i think makes sense only if we bring in a top top striker who's expected to be first choice otherwise why?

4.) 19 Jun 2017 17:25:54
It will be a kick in the teeth for origi to go on loan, if sturridge gets injured we will just have solanke on the bench.

5.) 19 Jun 2017 17:37:39
If both Ings and Origi are going out on loan, then maybe a striker might just come in. Aubameyang maybe? One can dream though.

6.) 19 Jun 2017 17:40:50
For me both Ings and Solanke need to be loaned otherwise they will hardly get any game time.

7.) 19 Jun 2017 19:12:13
Why would we loan Solanke out, he might as well have stayed at Chelsea for that?

{Ed002's Note - Staying at Chelsea was not an option for Solanke.}

8.) 19 Jun 2017 19:17:49
@Jones

Why would Solanke leave Chelsea where he was set to go on loan to come here where he will then go on loan. Makes zero sense because it's not going to happen.

He will play u23s and be given a few chances in the first team, if he takes these opportunities he can stake a claim for the first team as well as in training.

We offered him this chance hence why he's joined .

{Ed002's Note - Solanke was not "set to go on loan" at Chelsea. He was unable to stay at Chelsea and they let his contract run down.}

9.) 19 Jun 2017 19:24:18
Why was he unable to stay ed?

{Ed002's Note - They let his contract run out.}

10.) 19 Jun 2017 20:10:19
Ings should be sold. It is clear that he will never be a starter for LFC even prior to his injury. Just my opinion.

11.) 19 Jun 2017 20:32:35
Solanke refused a new contract at Chelsea and let it run down!

12.) 19 Jun 2017 21:37:59
Solanke won't get that many games as simple as that if we and he wants to develop properly and play a good level and amount of games he needs a loan.

13.) 19 Jun 2017 20:43:24
Solanke can't play for our under 23's due to our transfer ban on signing academy players, is the right eds?

{Ed002's Note - Solanke is not an academy player.}

14.) 20 Jun 2017 00:12:59
I feel for ings, never had a real chance to show what he's got. I'd like to see him getting match experience and if he has to go on loan to do yhat then good luck to him. Origi is too vital to the first team as things stand.

15.) 20 Jun 2017 00:39:30
Can't see origi going anywhere. he got plenty of time on the field last year and did very well for a period. Klopp is an admirer and can imagine he would want origi to be around so he can coach and improve his game. Origi should be looking to push on this year he is still a young players and had bags full of talent.

16.) 20 Jun 2017 13:24:56
Totally agree kopdog. Wouldn't it be great if he did really push on and score 20+ it's not beyond the realm of possibility.

{Ed025's Note - yes it is jonny, have you ever watched him?..bambi on ice comes to mind.. :)

17.) 20 Jun 2017 13:49:48
Hopefully ings will get a shot to prove some fitness in pre season. I think he is perfect for our system. He's been injured for a long time but he seems like an honest lad from what I've heard about him and he could be very good. I'd like to see him stay and push studge for his place.

I'd let origi go on loan but only if he can get regular game time. For me he had a lot still to prove. He's a young lad with bags of potential and then seems to have a good run of games and then a bad run of games. maybe a season of regular games would give him a chance to prove he is good enough and build his confidence.

28 May 2017 14:48:23
Hey eds about Origi do you see an offer coming in for him or does the club wants to move him on, as a belgian I want to see him succeed at LFC but towards the end of the season he was just a passenger, DS was way better tbf,

Punjabi_LFC

1.) 29 May 2017 08:23:28
It depends on how you define better. Sturridge provided one or two bright, exciting moments and goals but gives the ball away cheaply a lot. Origi has improved his hold up play and helps us keep possession a lot better now. He now needs to work on his movement to get into goal scoring situations more often and then to finish them.

I'd rather keep Origi personally as he is improving where as sturridge's performances are on the downhill now that he's losing his pace.

24 Apr 2017 18:57:04
Hey eds now niews is coming up about LFC being intrested in D. Costa of bayern, anything serious or just lazy journalsm as usual?

Punjabi_LFC

{Ed002's Note - There is very real interest from China and his agent has spoken with Chelsea, Juventus, PSG and Barcelona again to see if they can get one of the clubs to start chasing Bayern so he can use it as leverage for a pay rise. he may well have spoken to Arsenal and potentially Liverpool as well. Clubs won't get drawn in to that sort of scenario and Bayern are miffed at him because of this and some unreasonable demands. Out of the clubs approached Juventus might just bite. Bayern are unhappy with what is happening with both him and Coman right now.}

1.) 24 Apr 2017 19:39:40
cheers thanks for the quick reply.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome - Bayern want to keep him but will not be held to ransom. His future there (poster Ribery) should be good. But right now he is becoming a major pain.}

2.) 24 Apr 2017 22:14:32
would be nice to have another true winger along with Mane and if not I think we could revisit Salah as he's been really good at Roma speaking of which he scored twice today. Need the pace as without Mane we lack this desperately.

3.) 25 Apr 2017 00:02:47
Champions league is huge if we want to sign players of this calibre.

4.) 24 Apr 2017 23:01:52
what's happening with coman that is making them unhappy?

{Ed002's Note - Interest from elsewhere.}

5.) 25 Apr 2017 08:51:42
Hi Ed002 - as you mentioned Coman what is the situation with him? Am I right in thinking he is on loan from Juventus? If so do Bayern have an agreement to purchase him when his loan is up or will he simply head back to Juve? Just curious as 2-year loans for talented players rarely take place.

{Ed002's Note - You really need to ask such things on the European pages.}

6.) 25 Apr 2017 09:04:44
Will do now Ed.

{Ed002's Note - Thanks.}

7.) 25 Apr 2017 09:21:01
I'd love either of those players, excellent and dangerous goalscoring wingers with a good cross on them and lightning speed. Would also help aleviate some of our CM troubles by allowing Coutinho to drop back and act as playmaker in the middle.

16 Dec 2015 08:33:35
hey eds what dou you know about Trent Alexander-Arnold, is he rated highlighy within our system?

Punjabi_LFC

{Ed001's Note - highly rated enough, defenders usually mature slower so he is not expected to be a first team player in the next couple of seasons. I know there are a few clubs that want to take him on loan in the January window, Rangers in Scotland were one, Crewe were another interested. Not sure if anything will happen right now though, last I heard the academy was not keen to send out too many more on loan as Klopp wants to take more of a look at them all.}

1.) 16 Dec 2015 12:34:28
He is being played more and more as a central midfielder this season.

01 Sep 2015 08:29:55

Punjabi_LFC

1.) 17 Aug 2020 19:04:47
Sorry mate, I don't know much about it. Usually starts a bit closer to the start of the season. There is a "football rumours" league though. You need benny or some of the others.

2.) 17 Aug 2020 23:49:04
There will be a league shortly. Hang tight and we’ll post the code again.

30 Aug 2019 11:16:11
Okay guys I have a question I'm an LFC supporter from Belgium do you guys have any idea how me and my mate can get a ticket for the away game in Genk? which is only a 20 min drive from where I live. would love to cheer amongst the LFC family instead of the random Genk supporters.

Punjabi_LFC

1.) 30 Aug 2019 11:44:11
Sorry mate no chance your in with the Genk supporters I’m afraid
Up the pool.

2.) 30 Aug 2019 13:13:46

3.) 30 Aug 2019 16:35:15
I wouldn't think you'll be the only one mate.

02 Jan 2019 15:33:46
Hey eds just a question abt Ox now after his injury I was thinking would it be a normal thing if he lost some of his bursting pace? like his quick first 10-15 meter sprint, like studge has lost his or should this not be a case but just more abt coming back to speed graduallyespecially after the summer break?

Punjabi_LFC

{Ed002's Note - It would be a bonus to see him this season and perhaps there will be a cameo or two. I have no idea how fast he will be able to run I am afraid.}

1.) 02 Jan 2019 15:56:22
This kind of injury isn’t one you ever want to rush.

Both mentally and physically having setbacks is draining .

He seems to of got through rehab in a good condition but as the Ed says it’ll be a bonus if he makes any appearances.

We are doing fine without him and we want to put 0 pressure on him needing to return.

I’d rather he came back fighting fit in August than have a setback after playing 3 games This year.

{Ed002's Note - Right.}

2.) 02 Jan 2019 16:15:55
Totally agree Southern Red and if he can take inspiration, he just needs to look at Gomez and his recovery, how well is he doing now!

3.) 02 Jan 2019 17:28:43
I can’t believe Ed2 can’t tell us how fast he’s going to run when he comes back!

This site has really gone to the dogs!

4.) 02 Jan 2019 18:32:15
Spot on TSR.

5.) 02 Jan 2019 18:43:56
Keep an eye on Instagram, Ox isn't shy when it comes to filming his training and rehab. I said 2 months ago that based on where he was he looked like he has made an amazing recovery, he's way ahead of the work he should be doing (based on other pros with similar injuries) . I've got a great feeling about his next stage fitness, he looks exceptionally good. Agree on his return not needing any rush and a fully fit and raring to go Ox in August could be like having a new £50 mil player join us.

6.) 02 Jan 2019 19:49:32
Ox will play when Klopp and the medical staff thinks is ready and not a second before. People seem no to grasp the gravity of his injury (ripped every single ligament in his knee) and recovery from that type of injury is a very gruesome process. A true ordeal psychologically. I would love to see Ox play again this season and get a winners medal (should we win the PL, of course) BUT if his overall well-being means he is not rushed then so be it.

17 Aug 2018 08:53:23
Hey eds just a general question can teams change squad numbers during the season for example if migs and Karius leave this window, can we give the no.1 to Alisson or do teams have to wait until the new season? just a general question.

Punjabi_LFC

{Ed001's Note - they have to be registered with the Prem and then can only be changed the next time they have to be registered, which is usually at the end of a transfer window.}

04 Aug 2018 16:42:12
Hey eds abt 2 seasons ago you said something abt falcao comparison and sturridge that we should be patient for him that it will take time before he trusts his body again do you think this might be a decent year for him, that he can become a regular goalscorer like falcao became after " horrible years.

Punjabi_LFC

{Ed001's Note - it is certainly possible that he will begin to work things out over the next season.}

1.) 04 Aug 2018 19:25:43
I know it's it's, buts and maybes but if sturridge did have a good season do you think liverpool would be interested in giving him a new contract, bearing in mind his history.

{Ed001's Note - maybe a pay as you play deal would be possible if he would agree to one.}

2.) 05 Aug 2018 07:48:32
If Sturridge stays fit for 40-45 games of the season and puts in a valuable contribution, then a rolling contract for every season thereafter with a pay as u play deal would be ideal from the club's point of view. Studge seems to have formed a bond with Keita and Shaqiri, helps in settling new players etc. Definitely worth keeping over INgs and Origi (as long as he stays fit most of the time) .
