We shouldn't be buying cover, we should be buying players to compete for the starting spot.

I don't think you can win with a squad full of "back-up" players. What you need is competition for places.

I don't think Brewster is the type of forward that will fit into our formation well. He is the traditional fox in the box and is not influential enough in his all round game. He'll do well for somebody but not Klopp.

{Ed025's Note - its a bit early to presume that RG, yes he may be a bit green but he must have shown some ability in training to be part of the first team squad for the coming season mate..

Like a Virgil

I'm a first time poster, what's your point?
Because you bother to make comments all the time whilst I just read to get the latest news, how does that make my opinion any less valid than yours.
You can't understand how not improving with one or two class players at a time when we are in absolutely prime position to do so would be a missed opportunity. An improved citeh who are already prem champions and will have a bigger and better quality squad than our own and probably fewer games to play.
If we drop points in the first couple of months and trail citeh by 5 points then it's game over. It may be a one off for us to achieve 90+ points, for citeh it's assumed they'll do so.

We'll be out of contention by the end of September. An improved citeh just won't drop points and I think that a depleted Liverpool side will. We will find it harder to break teams down this season and I don't think we have the creative force in midfield that I think we'll need to compete at the very top of the table. Standing still is going backwards IMO. If we don't add something different and technically superior to what we have to choose from in midfield then I'd be surprised to finish within 10 points of citeh.
