Eds is it true that City are looking at Rodgers as a potential replacement for Pellegrini?

Richardd

{Ed002's Note - Sounds like Twitter. I would not think that Rodgers would be offered the job. There is a third party trying to manipulate a number of managerial changes this summer and is hoping to be in a position to be able to offer two other potential candidates to Manchester City.}

1.) 07 Mar 2015 12:21:40
That sounds ominous Ed002, any information on whether or not their aims are malicious?

{Ed001's Note - their aims are financial.}

2.) 07 Mar 2015 17:35:28
Surely that's something that has to be stopped Ed002? Having people outside football manipulating clubs into spending money seems wrong to me.

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what you are talking about.}

3.) 07 Mar 2015 19:25:41
Can you enlighten us on what these intended changes may be?

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with Liverpool.}

16 Jul 2014 10:39:15
Hey eds, are any clubs interested in the likes of Sturridge and Sterling? Odd that there is no speculation regarding two players who were stand out players last season in the league.

Richardd

{Ed002's Note - Not just yet but there is plenty of time still. Real Madrid were impressed with Sterling last season.}

13 Jul 2014 12:54:57
Have we or any other clubs shown an interest in Roberto Firmino?

Richardd

{Ed002's Note - Firmino agreed an extension recently but will very likely move in the summer with Barcelona, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Shakhtar, Zenit, Inter, Manchester United and Schalke interested - but Dortmund pushing for a deal. I am aware that Everton, Dynamo Kiev and Liverpool also looked at Firmino last season but have not declared interest with his agent. Roberto Firmino was previously subject of a rejected bid from Southampton. May well be first choice to replace Alexis Sanchez.}

24 Jan 2014 10:15:20
eds any interest in Fredy Guarin? available at a decent price plus we are in need of a strong central midfielder!

Richardd

{Ed002's Note - Not from Liverpool.}

08 Jan 2014 09:27:43
Has Liverpool shown any interest in Fabio Coentrao? Would suit our style of play and is available.

Richardd

{Ed002's Note - None.}

Seems like every single half chance we give an opponent they score from. Our players just do not seem to be putting their bodies on the line when defending anymore.

Richardd

1.) 19 Sep 2017 21:36:36
They don't have any heart.

They don't defend as a team and there is no leadership. This leads to chaos at the back and us shipping goal after goal.

2.) 19 Sep 2017 21:43:29
As soon as we concede one we look dreadful and panic instead of playing the game we're good at and attacking to get us back in the game.

26 Aug 2017 18:53:44
Any teams interested in Kasper Schmeichel ed? Quality goalkeeper despite the name ;)

Richardd

{Ed001's Note - Liverpool are not.}

25 Aug 2017 05:53:59
Eds what's the situation with Clyne right now? For how long will he be out for? Klopp has not really given any update on his situation.

Richardd

{Ed001's Note - he was expected back by now but his return has been put back, thankfully, until after the internationals break.}

1.) 25 Aug 2017 07:42:55
Don't think Klopp will put him straight back into the team as he has never been fond of Clyne's game from jump.

10 Aug 2017 17:04:17
Eds its been widely reported that VVD is 'desperate' to join us. Why is this really? I mean its easy to understand if he was say a lifelong fan of the club but that has not been reported. Do you know why he prefers us over the other big clubs in England?

Richardd

{Ed001's Note - I don't know.}

1.) 10 Aug 2017 17:13:59
It's the third kit .

2.) 10 Aug 2017 17:25:17
He is best mates with Glenice Van Kluivert, the Anfield coffee lady. Their friendship dates way back to their days of cage fighting in the suburban areas surrounding Amsterdam.

{Ed025's Note - love it MK..

3.) 10 Aug 2017 17:28:18
Klopp gave him a hug in Blackpool and he wants more.

{Ed025's Note - no he promised him big money and he wants more willis..

4.) 10 Aug 2017 17:29:40
Personally think he was offered vice captaincy from next season once Milner will likely move on or become a backup player and because of Champions league. Of course the new wage offer might have played a part too?!

5.) 10 Aug 2017 17:29:53
Big fish in a relatively small pond? I mean if Lovren is your competition, you know you'll be first choice right.

6.) 10 Aug 2017 19:23:35
Why are people surprised that players want to sign for us. We are liverpool 👍.

Decent performance today. A bit shaky at the start but who cares. My ratings for the game -

Mignolet - 6. Alright game, not much to do. Awful kicking and a few strange decisions.
Clyne - 3. Absolutely dreadful all game. Worst game I've seen him play by a clear mile.
Lovren - 8. A bit shaky at the start but grew into the game and was rock solid after half time.
Sakho - 9. Absolute class tonight.
Milner - 6. Worked hard, not much to do today, but reliable as always.
Henderson -5. Poor, didn't affect the game and seemed to lack any defensive awareness.
Can - 8. Another wonderful performance, absolute beast.
Lallana - 6. A few good moments, but dithers far too much on the ball when he should just play the easy pass.
Firmino - 6. Average but tidy game, wasn't as involved as was expected.
Coutinho - 8. World class goal.
Sturridge - 6. Few good moments but locked composure which is unlike Sturridge. Also didn't like how he didn't clap the fans when he came off.

Because Studge thinks he's the man but hey it's always good when a player looks peeved when he comes off.

2.) 17 Mar 2016 23:07:35
Didn't think Hendo was bad, made a lot of ground, got up the pitch and into a good scoring position which he was unlucky not to do well with. Did all of this despite vomiting at half time as Kloppo said. Wouldn't give him a 5, i would say 6 at least.

3.) 17 Mar 2016 23:17:29
looking at clyne tonight I think we need a right back and not a left back, Moreno will improve.

4.) 18 Mar 2016 00:05:39
What I liked in hindsight is that despite Clyne have a torrid time and Hendo, Llalana, Firmino, Sturridge all having a bit of an off night, we still had plenty of class to close that game out. Milner, Sakho, Can were immense and Lovren solid. Coutinho brought that incredible piece of magic we needed in the decisive moment.

We are no longer looking around in vain for someone to step up, or praying for one individual to return to the team. there are a few looking capable of producing something magical at any time.

5.) 18 Mar 2016 01:45:24
Hendo was ill all game hence, his average perf but credit to him for not backing down and going to battle for the club he captains.

6.) 18 Mar 2016 04:13:08
not relying on 1 man and having a team ethic will only stand us in good stead for the future. I must credit milner for being solid in the full back role tonight, and sakho and lovren for another superb performance, surely this now spells the end of skrtel's time at Liverpool, but that discussion is for another time.

Ed I know you don't like speaking about money as it really only confuses people but do you believe this bid a few days ago was anywhere near Leipzig's valuation of the player or did we once again simply put in another derisory bid as was the case in our pursuit of Koulibaly?

Richardd

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know that Leipzig has a valuation of a player that they have repeatedly siad they do not wish to sell.}

Are any clubs interested ed?

Richardd

{Ed001's Note - yes, if he becomes available he would be have a lot of interest, it is doubtful he will move though.}

Hate to admit it but I agree Klopp got it all wrong today. Attack looked so disjointed. Allen paired with Lucas meant we got overrun constantly no power and pace in that. Missed Can terribly today, no spark or creativity anywhere and final ball was dreadful. Seems Firmino is only good when paired with Coutinho thought he was poor again. Not a single player looked good today, maybe Ibes done ok but his final ball once again was lacking.

Ed01 so you're saying that many clubs will look elsewhere as a result of his injury problems thereby making us signing him far more realistic?

Richardd

{Ed001's Note - yes.}

Ed are most clubs having issues in their wage bills being excessive? Surely United are in a worse position than we are considering the 600k a week on just Falcao and Rooney?

Richardd

{Ed001's Note - Man Utd have a much higher income, but yes they are skating close to the wire, as are Arsenal.}

Ed how do you think we'll approach the Europa? We've all seen teams struggle with Thursday-Weekend game combos. Do you reckon we'll play the majority of our so called starting 11 in the Europa games?

Richardd

{Ed001's Note - I would expect the players to be assessed on a game by game basis to see how they are fitness wise. That is the usual thing, with Sterling and Lucas out and Sturridge needing games to get match fit, there are not a lot of changes we can really make.}
