How can two professional international cbs a) not know the basics in defending? B) not be able to take in any defensive coaching?
Eds it baffles me and its clearly evident. How can they not now the basic principles of defending as a defender? Crazy.

What BAFFLes me more is that players who are supposed to me miles above the world in quality are bang average, take Andre Gomes, I thought he was good but Ed said he walks like a donkey and I'm wondering what are Barcelona seeing if Ed is seeing Shreks buddy?
{Ed001's Note - Barca got duped by a few good performances in a tournament. Internationals are no guide to quality in league football as the pace is so slow it is more like training sessions. You get a lot of players that are brilliant on the training pitch but awful on the actual pitch because they just do not have the mental side of the game.}

Hey eds, with ed1 saying we want to replace both cbs and that matip was a stop gap does that mean (klopp) sees a back four of TAA, gomez, VVD and robertson? klopp bought klavan was he a stop gap aswell?
Im curious to know if klopp wanted VVD and another or has he always seen gomez as a main part in his cb partnership?

Hey eds im interested to know your opinions on the current issues.
1)how much longer do you think fsg will be around?
2) how long do you think klopp will be around?
3) is klopps and fsgs relationship strained with recent events going on?
From what i see as a fan from the outside looking in i don't think klopp looks happy at all and physically looks deflated (clownless in ed eyes) and fsg can't be happy having to make statements all the time.
Do you see any drastic changes happening?

{Ed002's Note - (a) I am not aware of any issues related to FSG. The Pound does not facilitate an early sale. (b) 2019. (c) I am not sure what sort of relationship he has with FSG, he is employed by the club. I agree that he is showing signs of it not being great right now.

I agree and hope some player with power pace and creativity comes in. Hopefully maccas keita info comes up trumps and he hits the ground running when and if he arrives. In theory a clean sheet defence should automatically start the next game especially when we usually concede 1-3 goals per game. I would love TAA, Gomez, VVD and robertson as a settled back 4 by christmas period. Klopp has rold us to sit tight a while ago so let's just hope somebody can work there magic in the recruitment department.

I don't think klopp even knows what to do with/ about defence. he's tried different players he's tried coaching and he's tried buying more but nothings working as of yet.
