Well if that was supposed to be De Zerbi’s audition for the job, he absolutely f@cked it in my eyes.

They went 1-0 with a half chance in 2nd minute and then immediately went to sh@thouse time wasting, diving and park the bus football.

They pass the ball around well but that’s about it.

Shaq Attack

1.) 31 Mar 2024 16:39:47
That match was horrendous to watch precisely because of De Zerbi. He should be nowhere near a top team, especially us. They are fairly handy in possession though it’s very difficult to interrupt their play when the referee is hellbent on stopping us from competing for the ball. Out of possession, however, they are one of the worst teams in the league. The only reason that game didn’t finish 5-1 is because, yet again, we are largely atrocious in front of goal.
One more thing, David Coote is not a professional referee and shouldn’t be officiating games in any of the 4 English professional leagues.
All in all, a useful three points.

2.) 31 Mar 2024 16:58:52
Not sure how that was horrendous to watch. I enjoyed it.

Mac was phenomenal today fair play to him. Has to be up there for our player of the season.

Coote was awful. No idea what his decision making was at times and when he went behind the goal to move the two balls he reminded me of mr bean.

3.) 31 Mar 2024 17:17:11
Yep Mac was a joy to watch. He's been good all season but really been our best player since Endo took the 6 position. While I think Mac can definitely play the 6 having Endo there really allows him to pull strings in the final third. Nice to see Szoboszlai looking like he has some energy back for the run in. Just need salah to get sharp again and I think we've got a big chance to win the title.

4.) 31 Mar 2024 20:41:02
@Red-Will, you’ve just made a case for Endo being the player of the year. He’s certainly been the bargain buy of the year across the PL.

5.) 31 Mar 2024 21:01:54
I thought BHA were well organised and hard to break down.

Can’t criticise their manager for that. I was relieved to hear the final whistle put it that way.

{Ed025's Note - should have won a lot easier for me Ron, i thought they offered very little mate and if Mo had had his shooting boots on it could have been a rout..

6.) 01 Apr 2024 01:58:00
They are a relatively small squad and lost a major component of last season’s team when Macca and Caicedo left. They have a relatively small squad and have suffered with injuries. I’’m not sure who could have done much better with Brighton this season. I’m not saying he should be our next manager but I think some of the stuff being levelled at him isn’t called for.

{Ed001's Note - they do not have a relatively small squad, they have a huge one mate. They also have access to a number of feeder clubs. They lost just two players, while spending record amounts on forwards.}

7.) 01 Apr 2024 12:57:53
Looking at Transfermarkt their spend and income on transfers was roughly the same. They brought in Pedro (from Watford) @ €34m, Baleba from Lille @ 27m, Verbruggen from Anderlecht @ €20m and Igor from Florentine for just over €16m. Everyone else was under €10m or loans.

They sold Calceido to Chelsea, Macca to us and Sanchez to Chelsea for €116m, €42m and just short of €29m respectively. They may have numbers but it’s more quantity than quality, imho. Losing Mitoma for two or three months (according to the manager) is a blow for them.

I’m not sure if I’d want him as our manager but I think a manager with potential might ‘raise their game’ with the talent and potential available in the current Liverpool squad.

{Ed001's Note - so they don't have a relatively small squad then? Let's just leave it as you were wrong and now you are twisting things rather than admit it.}

This is first window I can remember where there’s been no meltdowns on this site about our lack of transfer activity in a window.

What a great signal to strength of our squad right now!

1.) 02 Feb 2024 07:36:36
I was hoping we were going to buy a right back.

2.) 02 Feb 2024 09:27:11
WDW3 and even tho that is what you wanted (I doubt you actually did, lol), at least you didn't lose your marbles and FSG-Outing all over the forum cos you did not get what you wanted. Props to you, mate.

3.) 02 Feb 2024 09:41:33
We're too busy melting down about Klopp.

4.) 02 Feb 2024 11:01:04
Nice one, Arken. Totally forgot about the whole Klopp is leaving thingy. Was that the plan to make the announcement to distract from any transfer meltdowns, tho? Very interesting.

So let me get this straight - fans are telling gini to grow a thicker skin and not get upset with the online abuse he receives, and then in the same breath are clearly wounded by him taking a swipe at fans as a collective?

It can’t just be me who sees the irony in this? 😂.

Shaq Attack

1.) 25 Jul 2021 09:17:35
Wonder how Keita feels looking at his online reviews!

2.) 25 Jul 2021 09:28:34
Er yeah Shaq Attack, 99% of footballers have their critics. Leave with a bit of dignity and say thanks for the support. I would further add he was motivated by money in his decision making, not his love for the club.

3.) 25 Jul 2021 09:58:03
It's the satirists I feel sorry for.

4.) 25 Jul 2021 10:40:59
Given the abuse that footballers get, I think we should all take it a little more serioualy.

5.) 25 Jul 2021 10:59:23
Clearly the irony is lost on you IPC mate. The same people who telling Gini to get over the criticism are crying because he’s criticised our fan base. It’s hilarious 😂.

6.) 25 Jul 2021 11:10:44
It’s the self entitlement era. We can say whatever we want about people online but if they dare say something back we get all offended.

7.) 25 Jul 2021 11:23:47
Gini was dead right you only have to read some of the comments on here by folks that wouldn't get a kick in a horsebox yet think they know it all. Would love to see the reaction if some strangers walked into their job and told them they were sh*te at it despite not being qualified to say so. I'm quite sure they'd just accept it alright.

8.) 25 Jul 2021 12:21:00
Spot on, Shaq. The other Sky Chuckle Bro Carragher said something similar, telling Gini he was wrong to say he got abuse from fans on SM and telling him to get off SM if ghe abuse was getting too much. So in other words, Gini was wrong in calling out the LFC fans who gave him vile abuse. So in essence, Carra would rather tell people to not talk about their struggle with SM abuse rather than actually attack the problem of SM abuse and itself. That is abject victim-shaming.

Who da heck does this guy think he is? Carra or anyone else (IPC12, as well) is in NO position to tell Gini or whoever how they should deal with the abuse they get or tell him or whoever to leave any public space, go that matter if the abuse is getting too much. That is Gini’s decision and his alone. Telling him to suck it up or leave SM, is not addressing the problem of vile abuse or cyber bullying itself.

9.) 25 Jul 2021 20:08:40
There ain’t no irony as it’s the fans that pays for his wages which for the last 12 months we’re not worth the performance hence the criticism. The whatever hundred grand a week he got is enough to live with the criticism from the people paying his wages. And yes, I know it’s not just match day tickets and memorabilia that brings in income. He can say what he wants but if he thinks he’s beyond criticism for his performances from the people who pay his wages then he’s wrong.

10.) 25 Jul 2021 20:22:46
Gini is probably too classy to respond to Carra, but he could always drop in that at least he doesn't spit on fans.
That would put him in his place somewhat.

11.) 25 Jul 2021 21:30:01
Flash, how Carra kept a job after that disgraceful act is STILL beyond me. And you know what’s worse? The fact that there were actually people out there defending him by saying he was provoked by the kid’s father or some other rubbish.

Now that’s the guy lecturing Gini about how to handle online abuse or abuse in general. This is the lack of self awareness we are being afflicted with of late. As they say, “It is better to be silent and be thought of as a fool, than it is to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt”.

12.) 25 Jul 2021 22:21:59
WarMachine - it isn't just the criticism, it's what was being said. the team were struggling, people were talking as if he isn't making an effort cos he halfway out the door. For him, he was obviously doing everything he needed to remain fit and available, but wasn't get that recognition. Sure criticize a guy if he misplaces a pass, but I think fans always make this jump towards intention and motivation that is really impossible to say if you don't know the player.

13.) 25 Jul 2021 22:27:32
Being fit and available is nowhere near enough to pull on the red shirt for me Faithworks. Quality, 100% effort and match winning performances should be the criteria. And if he was doing that he wouldn’t have been criticised.

14.) 26 Jul 2021 02:40:31
well last season, being fit and available it was the standard lol but seriously, he is saying that it wasn't a fluke he wasn't available to play. I think fans need to decide what they want and also perhaps focus on positive aspects to a player instead of picking holes where they see fit

let's take 100% and match-winning performances, which are subjective. but let's roll with them. Gini is saying that he did everything to be available and make a difference for the team. Yet there were trolls out there who chose to say otherwise. And how do any of us know anyways? tbh I am surprised that he was impacted so much, but then again we need to be mindful that these guys are human too. In his eyes, he was giving 100% effort for the team that wasn't being seen. It'd grate on me too.

15.) 26 Jul 2021 06:20:58
Oil Red you’re talking about different issues now. Cyber abuse and not feeling valued are different things. If a player is cyber abused e. g racism and personal attacks it should not be condoned. A player being critiqued for their performances is something else. I personally never rated the player. He was a work horse yes, but he didn’t score enough, create enough, or penetrate enough and I have every right to offer that opinion. If you or he doesn’t like it, they can be on their merry way. He was motivated by money for me. We’ve lost vastly superior players and done far better. You’re trying to muddy the conversations with your nonsense.

19 May 2021 22:09:07
Officially in our hands now. Win and Leicester need to win by at least 5.

Well done boys from where we were.

We’re in a great run of form now, started the season extremely well, just that middle section and those 6 games at Anfield killed us.

Shaq Attack

1.) 19 May 2021 22:18:22
Wow how did we win that game? We did everything to lose it. Nobody was able to control the ball and pass it to a team mate. Going backwards putting everyone under pressure. Nobody wanted to take a shot outside the box. Thought ox did well for the time he was on. Well 3 pts on we go . well done boys.

2.) 19 May 2021 22:31:27
Thaiboy I don't know what game you were watching we had over 20 shots on goal and had over 65°/ ° of the ball. We should have been out of sight at half time, if our forwards were on song we could have won by at least 5.

3.) 19 May 2021 23:18:25
I think people expect the lads to come out direct from the first minute and take the game by the scruff of the neck. we haev 90 minutes + to pull a result. I thought the performance was alright compared to what others are saying. good interchange, players are trying to get in between the lines. that it is not coming off sometimes shouldn't detract from the fact the players are gaining confidence to persevere more often. especially with Thiago there we have been seeing way more balls to feet with a defender right on the back, and we are prone to losing the ball. but over time that will get better and it will help us break down these stubborn teams as those tight spaces are, ironically, where we are more likely to find a create space for opportunities.

good on the lads, solid performance got the goals to match.

I seem to remember a an ITK reporter claimed Kinsey would be announced yesterday 🧐.

Shaq Attack

{Ed001's Note - ?}

1.) 02 May 2021 20:40:57
Think he means Konate.

2.) 02 May 2021 20:41:30
OP is probably talking about Konate, not Kinsey (probably autocorrect) .

3.) 02 May 2021 21:07:41
Is Kinsey the new Navy Keith?

4.) 02 May 2021 21:12:45
Yep bloody autocorrect!

5.) 02 May 2021 21:45:12
Not very in the know then were they?

{Ed0666's Note - I think it’s an open secret konate is pretty much done

6.) 02 May 2021 22:05:46
Possibly Ed but as with Fekir it's not done till its done.

{Ed0666's Note - true dat

7.) 02 May 2021 22:32:25
Do you believe it is nearly done Ed0666? What does your ITK contact say mate?

{Ed0666's Note - mate I would put money on the fact it’s done.

8.) 03 May 2021 09:33:11
Just had a look he played the full 120 minutes of their cup game Friday night. Hopefully that's a good sign regarding his fitness.

Mane did not stand out at 21. No-one on this forum would have had a scooby doo who he was then.

Salah stood out a Basel yes, got his move to Chelsea and flopped miserably.

It’s incredibly remiss to write him off just yet.

The huge difference Grino is that Jim is coming from a place of complete ignorance. There is also a blatant tone of disrespect and derision in his post.

Jim is choosing to frequent these pages, if he doesn’t like what he reads from its editors he can always frequent another site. No one is forcing him to read it.

FFS Jimthered, why are some fans so touchy when they hear negative feedback about Liverpool FC. Ed2 has no agenda against Liverpool, this is simply a Liverpool forum where he provides warts and all info about our club, and i for one am extremely grateful. If you don’t like his info you can always feck off.

I’m personally surprised how much support he seemingly has from Utd fans.

I get he’s faced his challenges with injuries but there seems to be zero sign of good football there in nearly 2 seasons. You’re not telling me that teams in our league with much worse squads haven’t played better football than Utd this season?

I think the most damming endorsement of ETH is that ALL rival fans universally want him to stay in charge. If that doesn’t state laughing stock, I don’t know what does.

I saw a stat that Bradley has more assists/ goals tally than Anthony has in his 18 months of PL football.

This brings me endless amusement ?.

Sorry ScouseNouse, but my wife is a WH fan and I watched Rice most weeks. He is quality and the ideal Hendo replacement with an actually more well rounded game. He’s 23 and still has 5 ulyears before hitting his absolute peak.

He often stands out in average England midfield too.

No difference between 6th and 2nd? You mean apart from Champions League football?

An inch away from greatness is more frustrating than the plight Utd are in? If we were to plummet to their depths anytime soon I’m sure you’d be begging for 90+ point seasons again straight away.

The entitlement from some of our fanbase is legitimately outrageous ?.
