I don't know if there's any truth to it but thought I would ask. Apparently Liverpool have rejected an offer from Sevilla to take Daniel Sturridge on loan?

Spooked

{Ed002's Note - It was quite a while back that Sevilla and Real Betis asked about a loan.}

1.) 18 Jan 2018 11:12:53
Ah, I was completely unaware of that. Thanks Editor #2.

Editor 2 please, if you have a spare moment.

There has been quiet a lot of talk about us bringing in a new keeper but was wondering about outgoing more then incoming's in regards to the GK position.

We have 4 keepers there, 3 aren't good enough (Ward has never and will never be given a chance so we will never know), we have to sell at least 2 of them before bringing any other GK in surely.

Was just wondering if any teams might be looking at any of out keepers? because to me, I don't know how anybody would be interested in signing any of them apart from Ward, he can be really good in my opinion I just don' think Klopp rates him so I'd think he could find a club pretty easily come summer but the other 3, I find it hard to believe anybody would want to sign any them?

Whilst I'm here, I'll push my luck and ask one more question, Markovich, any interested clubs in him or are we stuck until summer before offloading?

Thank you.

Spooked

{Ed002's Note - Right now I would not expect anything to happen in January. Arc has been of interest o Huddersfield. But that boat has sailed. I would think Bogdan will be released or stay as number 3. Ward will want out. The others I don’t know. I expect a new GK to be looked at in the summer.

LM has an option in China but Liverpool want more money than there is on offer - and I doubt it would suit him, but I. Expect a January exit.}

1.) 15 Jan 2018 00:05:24
Thank you very much Editor #2 for the swift reply and information.

2.) 15 Jan 2018 08:54:35
Eds Do you see us Targetting Marco Verratti in the summer? TIA.

{Ed002's Note - No.}

3.) 15 Jan 2018 14:55:38
Any chance we get a new goalkeeping coach along with the new keeper?

{Ed002's Note - What is wrong with the existing coach?}

4.) 15 Jan 2018 16:43:38
I don't think it has too much to do with the coaches, I just think it's as simple as we have 2 terrible keepers (Bogdan and Migs), one average with room for improvement (Karius) and one good who isn't going to get a chance (Ward) . You can coach somebody as much and as hard as you want, if they aren't good enough that's that.

5.) 15 Jan 2018 17:42:24
Goalkeepers don't seem to improve under his guidance.

Sorry for double posting I also wanted to add, how would I go about publishing an article on here? It may take me a few days because I have a lot of projects on for work and will need to research my topic a little, was thinking of writing about youngsters and their developments

May I ask a question please, excuse my lack of knowledge on this matter.

How do work permits work? I'm thinking about Marko Grujic (Good luck to him at Cardiff by the way) .

He has barely played for us, how does he still have a work permit. Now he's gone to Cardiff I'm guessing this will stop the work permit from getting cancelled? Is this why we have sent him out on loan?

Spooked

{Ed002's Note - Grujic does not qualify for a WP but one was issued to him under the "exemptions" clause that allows a club to make a special case for a player of "exceltional talent" who will be used on a regular basis - and this is what the panel told. It was of course not true but there we are.}

1.) 17 Jan 2018 17:57:13
Thank you very much Editor #2. Very interesting to know we lied to obtain a WP, might this make it harder for us in the future to obtain a WP for another player?

{Ed002's Note - Yes, otherwise Allan could have had one last summer.}

2.) 17 Jan 2018 18:36:16
Thanks again Editor, very much appreciated.

3.) 17 Jan 2018 18:39:26
We never learn to just do business properly :c Good luck to Grujic though!

4.) 17 Jan 2018 18:51:02
alistairLPFC, I know, it's quite concerning, it does nothing for our reputation apart from a negative impact.

5.) 17 Jan 2018 18:52:33
Allan! Totally forgot about him.

Does anyone have any idea how he's getting on?

6.) 17 Jan 2018 20:13:29
"Quit your jibber jabber" Mr. T and check his Wikipedia page. :)

7.) 17 Jan 2018 20:11:37
Such a shame that the underuse and misguided purchase of what we were lead to believe is an extremely talented player (and the little we have seen seems to support this) has resulted in the unavailability of another very talented player. Had high hopes for both players. Such a waste, not just for the club but also the players. We need to stop doing this.

After seeing a reply from Editor #2 on the others page I quote
''{Ed002's Note - Apart from the massive disruption and vast amount of abuse it has caused, no. }'.

It it kind of shocking how many people have little respect and appreciation for these Editors, who constantly give us information we'd never know about unless we was on this website. How about some people have a little more respect?

It's always a busy period the transfer window but there's no need to get stupid about things. We're meant to be a close knit community here, we're all here for the love of our club not to give grief to the editors who give us inside information and their knowledge, they don't have to do this, they choose to.

I for one as do many others fully appreciate what you editors do for us fans, I applaud each and every one of you. Most notable Editors 1, 2 and 25. Thank you for everything you guys do and the information provide us with it really doesn't go unnoticed.

I'm not trying to be up anybody's backside with this post but a little respect and appreciation is all it takes, it's not difficult. People wonder at times why Editor #2 destroys them. Is there any wonder? .

Thank you Editors for your time and efforts.

{Ed025's Note - your welcome spooked..cheers..

1.) 16 Jan 2018 22:08:58
Well said Spooked.

2.) 16 Jan 2018 22:24:53
Yer we appreciate proper reds and all the eds think someone needs to get the eds padded walls as sometimes i can picture them banging their heads against them answering some of the trolls.

3.) 16 Jan 2018 23:40:22
Most of the time the abusive people are the ones who have just found the site for the transfer window (I hope i’m right anyway and the longer time readers show all the respect the eds deserve).

4.) 17 Jan 2018 00:24:21
There's just some very sad people in the world who have nothing better or more constructive to say or do each day.

5.) 17 Jan 2018 08:43:38
OIrish Kev 1, very true, I also don't believe it's regulars or I'd hope not anyway.

VVD set to miss today's game apparently due to a tight hamstring.

Spooked

1.) 14 Jan 2018 12:20:13
Damn i was pinning my hopes on him playing and providing some solidity or at least vocality to the back line.

Really worried that we will get humiliated again.

2.) 14 Jan 2018 12:32:13
Its a coming, me too. I'm not confident about this game now not one bit. I'm excited about it but right now I'll take a point, infact I'll be very happy with a point today.

3.) 14 Jan 2018 12:42:51
Jeez. it's all doom and gloom on here isn't it! Man city's defence isn't the best either guys, come on- Chins up! Let's see the posts tonight around 6.

4.) 14 Jan 2018 12:55:26
Liverpool have the best defensive record at home, in the whole league. Van Dijk hasn't contributed to that at all.

So I'm not going to have a mini melt down over him missing the game, which is still just a rumour anyway.

5.) 14 Jan 2018 13:03:48
I think we will be fine with Lovren and Klavan today. As long as Can and Gini show up and provide some support and protection from midfield. VVD injured is a minor blow, not a big issue.

6.) 14 Jan 2018 13:03:48

7.) 14 Jan 2018 13:08:27
If people think that VVD will fix ALL our defensive issues, then yeah, start panicking. Also, People are aware that VVD could have gotten injured during the warm up or during his first sprint, right? If we win, lose or draw, it won't be cos VVD did not play or Cou was sold. It will be 100% due to what happens on the pitch, how the game plays out and who can make their domination phases count, profit from a team's mistakes and tactical adaptations in-game from the managers. That is it and nothing more. The doom and gloom is becoming tiresome.

{Ed002's Note - It is not a "tight" hamstring, van Dijk has no more than a little dog bite on his "right" hamstring. #WonderDogSparky has explained this whilst the Fat Kid from Bolton said nothing.}

8.) 14 Jan 2018 13:27:52
Thing is that they humped us 5-0 and ran through us at willl, it will virtually be the same line up that got battered at the Etihad and since we have no central midfield to speak of to protect whoever plays in centre defence I’m not exactly confident that we can stop them running riot since neither Klavan or Lovren deal with mobile attackers very well. If it was United I wouldn’t be worrried as they are a very static one dimensional team, if we get out of this with a draw that will be a good result.

9.) 14 Jan 2018 13:43:01
Your post is based on what exactly Dennis? because if i remember correctly we were the better side until Mane got sent off. You seem to have forgot that completely, you really think we would have lost 5-0 with 11 vs 11? I think that is very very unlikely.

10.) 14 Jan 2018 13:55:27
Dennis what are you talking about with another nonsense post from you with 11 v 11 we were the better team at there place, it was only when we went down to 10 men they walked thru us. Damn some people on here ovs don't watch the games or take notice then just come on and spew crap get a grip man will you.
Today's game is at anfield we have best home defensive record in league also we haven't been beat of city at home for a long time up the mighty reds 3-1.

11.) 14 Jan 2018 14:14:49
11 v 11 at city we matched them. Where we get we were the better team is purely biased opinion. Mane getting sent off was the turning point but all 5 of their goals were clinical with Mignolet not even close to saving any. City will likely be just as clinical today and we will again have Mignolet in goal. We need to ensure that we restrict their opportunities because if it gets left to Mignolet to save us then that is not happening.

12.) 14 Jan 2018 14:13:21
We were 1-0 down when he was sent off. We were unable to stop them scoring with 11 men on the pitch and every time they went near our goal you could sense trouble. We lack quality in midfield, defence and goal.

13.) 14 Jan 2018 14:49:14
VVD shouting and orchestrating our defence from the sidelines 😂.

14.) 14 Jan 2018 15:14:43
Come on Dennis. Chin up. Pessimism get's you no further than to be able to say "I told you so". Optimism gives you the courage to strive for better. If we all had a defeatist attitude before we start, then what's the point of getting out of bed? - says the depressant.

15.) 14 Jan 2018 17:26:54
U was saying Jayden and Dennis both of you stick your opinions like a said we'd do a job today but no the negitave bs posts are still out.

16.) 14 Jan 2018 19:43:11
Yeah a bit of a gutter but our home defensive record as been very good without him.

13 Jan 2018 17:00:53
Great Chelsea losing points today, I hate to say it but come on Everton, do Spurs in for us!

Spooked

1.) 13 Jan 2018 18:54:01
Well I didn't get my hopes up too much about Everton doing us a favour.

2.) 13 Jan 2018 20:02:33
Everton? Doing us a favor? Come on, man. Do you believe in pixie dust as well?

3.) 13 Jan 2018 20:41:36
never look to Everton doing us a favour, it never happens . we have to do this ourselves .

4.) 13 Jan 2018 21:43:57
Remember when we needed Everton to beat city for us back in the end side of 2014? I think we just lost to Chelsea that gameweek.

Editor #2 it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he's gone in the summer either. To be quite honest I hope he is because I can't see him ever getting a chance with us, this situation kind of reminds me of the Markovic situation and we all know how bad that's gone for him since joining us, I hope Grujic can escape the trap. Markovich wasn't able to and still hasn't yet.

Unfortunately it seems to be happening all too often with these youngsters, they have too much power some of them and think they can do what they want, they think they're bigger then clubs and I don't like that.

Aside from this I'd also like to see Alisson signed for us, I think he'd be the perfect fit for Liverpool. I don't know if there's any truth to it but I read Roma have put a £44m price tag on him, money is irrelevant to me. I don't understand the finances in football and not really interested in learning about it but should that be true I think we should go all out to sign him.

My only concern with singing him in this window would be Karius, he deserves his chance and if we brought in Allison this month he'd be back down the pecking order and probably sold in the summer which would in a way be a shame because I think he can be quite good for us but at the same time, Karius or Alisson? it's a no brainer.
