My brother had Ian Ayre in his cab a few weeks ago this is what he said say for instance it looks like glen Johnson is going so around November we will get together and discuss a right back the committee tell the scouts to look for a right back we ask brendan for a choice of his own and we even throw another player into the mix we collect all the info see what money is available for other positions we make a collective decision but brendan had the final say if he says yes or no that's the final decision please I don't need Earache and abuse this happened and my brother knew it was Ayre coming out it was a booking so he rang me and asked me for any questions for him

Hello ed I was just wondering do you know what's changed in Lfc training methods the intensity on the pitch is very high are we doing more intense training in short spells or less training and concentrating on energy for games I know years ago we played 3 games a week and the players said they'd rather play than train thanks.

You train/practice the way and at the tempo you wanna play in a real game. that is the mantra here in American sports (NFL, especially) . If you do that, then you will always out perform your opponent because they may not be doing that.

Eds we don't get together as a team the real problem at Lfc is no pace in the centre back position this drops us deep which brings the midfield deep then that leaves a big gap between mid and attack this has been like this for years even when carra and sammi was there but with stevie in the form of his life he got up the pitch to to join torres and kuyt the team from 2 seasons ago had pace on the counter and king luis the problem lies here I would get sakho and Gomez in at centre back push up the pitch 10 yards more and get the team as a unit closer together

The beginning of the season I had a discussion with my dad about Spanish full backs we'd just acquired 2 and we thought that Spanish full back weren't of a high standard after arbeloa who was at best a steady Eddie has been probably top Spanish full back at real if that was the standard we was getting 2 off Seville and athletico well I think our concerns were correct we also had mr selfie himself at the club Jose selfrique

Is Spanish full backs were so bad how is it the Spain team won every international trophy available. Maybe a young kid like Moreno needs a little time to adapt to a new country, language, style and team mates before you start writing them off.

Carvajal and Juan fran are decent, people were crying out to sign Montoya on here, and Jordi alba is good going forward for a full back. Azpilacueta (or Dave as they call him) is as good as any out there for his age.

Does anybody believe if rodgers handed in his resignation fsg would try to talk him out of it

It definitely seems that way Ed007, it really makes no sense to me, perhaps a DoF will be brought in as suggested, but then surely why not change the Head Coach too, I can only see tension between Rodgers and the people around him in such a system, more worryingly would be if no DoF came in and someone else made the decisions on the rest of the coaching staff while leaving Rodgers in place. I'd be really interested to hear Eds 001/2 input on who they think should be Head Coach under a DoF if such was the situation of a DoF being brought in and BR resigning.
