Mane signed new long term contract. Reported on LFC TV

Happy days.

Tommy Gunn

1.) 22 Nov 2018 21:18:38
Great news, I love Mane I think he's one of the loyal ones. As we all know, contracts these days don't mean a great deal but with Mane I see him stopping here for a very long time.

2.) 22 Nov 2018 22:38:16
Fantastic news!

3.) 23 Nov 2018 00:48:02
Everyone can just relax now so! great news.

4.) 23 Nov 2018 06:36:21
I was never worried. Great news though.

5.) 23 Nov 2018 13:07:17
How much mane is he on now.

6.) 24 Nov 2018 12:28:11
Has he actually signed now?
Last i read he had agreed new terms.

Looking forward to Ed 001 match review for that one.

Just sensational.

Don't you just love LFC.

Tommy Gunn

{Ed0333's Note - Ed’s 001 is having some ‘me time’ at the moment I’d you get my drift Tommy.

1.) 07 May 2019 23:37:21
Its hard to say is the most improved player this season. There are so many candidates.

Matip has been sensational in europe
Gini has been consistently excellent all season.
Robertson has been amazing
Trent too.
But divok origi. I never knew he had it in him. So he gets my vote. Whenever he has been called upon he has caused havoc to defences and scored plenty for the amount of minutes he's had.

2.) 07 May 2019 23:38:18
We’re all Ed right now. What a night!

3.) 07 May 2019 23:38:21
Think we should just say that each player along with Jürgen gets a 10 out of 10 rating tonight.

4.) 08 May 2019 00:37:59
Man city and liverpool best in world right now. Please god we can keep up with them. This is football. Passion not money. Rugby winning at min as in what people want to watch but when football shows passion there is nothing more exciting. Ynwa.

{Ed0333's Note - you a class warrior by any chance Mattsmann 🤣

26 Jan 2019 13:37:51
Just a bit of fun but I reckon our first team could be worth one billion if it was to be sold in the summer.

Best thing is that if we keep moving forward we won't need or have to sell anyone that we want to keep.

Tommy Gunn

1.) 26 Jan 2019 13:59:40
Tommy what would be you price for selling each of the first 11 then mate. And Interesting to see what your named 11 are. Just a bit of fun.

2.) 26 Jan 2019 14:33:45
You mean in Japanese Yen don’t you Tommy.

3.) 26 Jan 2019 14:58:32
Allison 100 million
Robbo 75
VVD 100
Joe 75
Trent 75
Gini 55
Jorghino 60
Naby 55
Sadio 120
Bobby 110 but with much mor to us
Mo 180.

4.) 26 Jan 2019 15:29:08
Tommy, Jorginho? I think a few of them may be a little on the high side mate but in today’s market who knows.

5.) 26 Jan 2019 15:13:52
When did we sign jorginho?
Did I miss his transfer?

6.) 26 Jan 2019 15:15:31
75m for Gomez? Trent? One is always injured and the other is doing a great job but isn’t really that top draw a defender. Love them both but who pay £150m plus wages etc for them. I doubt we’d get our money back on Naby and Mane is too underrated to achieve the value he’s worth.

7.) 26 Jan 2019 15:52:28
Value can only be judged in terms of I'm importance to us as a team until someone buys a player, so we can't really put a price on the team. All i would say is that I'd expect is us to sell a few of the above for less than what you've quoted if someone came in with a firm offer (Robbo and wiji would go for less in my opinion, along with a few others )

8.) 26 Jan 2019 16:09:45
VVD £100m you could double that and it is still not enough.

9.) 26 Jan 2019 16:17:11
Sorry was in a hurry. should of course be Fabinho

If Maguire is 55 million Joe is well over that amount

Point is virtually all those players would be going to top 6 or Barcelona Madrid type sides and we would get top prices as we are not looking to sell.

We have got a side full of players with real value in them and it’s a dramatic change from when Klopp first arrived at the club.

Naby will come good and this time next year he will be worth 100 million plus.

10.) 26 Jan 2019 17:31:28
Alisson 120
Trent 60
Gomez 45
Virgil 120
Robbo 75
Fabinho 75
Gini 30
Shaqiri 30
Firmino 120
Mane 120
Salah 200

That probably is about a billion actually 🤔.

11.) 26 Jan 2019 17:50:31
Just shows how far we have progressed under Jurgen

Foundations are in our place

Great back room staff with doctors dieticians analysts etc

Strong commercial department

Titles and silverware are on the way.

12.) 26 Jan 2019 18:03:53
Hopefully they are worth a combined PL title and the CL cup. That’s all a should care for!

13.) 26 Jan 2019 18:13:47
Head in the clouds. We signed Alisson for 60mil. and In half a season that price has doubled?

Alisson 90mil
Trent 40mil
Gomez 40 mil
VVD 140 mil

Gini 65mil
Fabhino 55mil
Keita 85mil

Salah 160mil
Firmino 80mil
Mane 70mil.

The market is crazy but not as much as op.

It is not unfathomable to see 100mil offer for mane, while it is not unfathomable to recieve a 55mil bid for Bobby. 25/ 30 for trent (young lad) 90mil for gini and 25mil for robbo. No one can predict the market but I think my list would be much closer than the OP's.

14.) 26 Jan 2019 18:54:24
Don’t see FSG asking you to negotiate any sales

Have you seen the market?

Most of our players are not for sale and if anyone does try to buy they will be paying top dollar.

Chelsea want 50 million for a young guy who hasn’t got near their first team. Trent is first choice RB for league leaders. Gomez is best CB prrospect in EPL.

Robbo is best left back in EPL right now.

Citeh pay 50 million plus for a full back and that sets the market.

15.) 26 Jan 2019 20:06:02
C'mon guys you're missing the agents fees and various other fees you have no idea about. The value is much more closer to 5bil.

16.) 26 Jan 2019 20:42:03
Alisson - £80-£85m
Trent - £40m
Gomez - £55m
Van Dijk - £130m
Roberson - £65m
Fabinho - £70m
Gini - £45m
Shaqiri - £40m
Mane - £90m
Firmino - £80m
Salah - £150m.

17.) 27 Jan 2019 00:11:58
Firminosteeth that looks like the best quote at the moment, but I would put Trent and Gomez higher by £20m each. But most of our squad is not for sale but never say never.

18.) 27 Jan 2019 00:30:12
Lads you'd are all underestimating them we have Michael Edwards negotiating on our behalf so you may double those prices Christ he got potentially 19 mill for solanke.

19.) 27 Jan 2019 08:51:19
That odoi of chelsea is being talked about for 35-40m. there would be riots on the streets if gomez or trent were sold for anything less than 60m!

20.) 27 Jan 2019 10:00:28
If we got 140 for Coutinho, Salah must be closer to 200.

29 Aug 2018 21:43:37
Looks like it will be pot 3 for us with Benfica comfortably ahead in their qualifying game tonight.

Just means there could be a group of death iand one or two of the big European sides might be worried about getting us in group stage.

Hopefully we get the chance to meet Real Madrid and sort them out.

Tommy Gunn

1.) 29 Aug 2018 22:35:51
Everyone in pot one will be hoping lokomotiv moscow draws liverpool.

2.) 29 Aug 2018 22:43:38
I’ll be happy with that. In recent years I’ve seen some terrible games against so called lesser European teams.

Bring them on 💪.

3.) 29 Aug 2018 22:50:30
Tomorrow's wish list:
Lokomotiv Moskva
Crvena zvezda

4.) 29 Aug 2018 23:00:20
I'd love:
Club Brugge.

5.) 30 Aug 2018 02:15:58
I’ll have:

AEK Athens

3 great away trips 😎.

6.) 30 Aug 2018 03:07:27
Real - Roma - Liverpool - Hoffenhaim.

7.) 30 Aug 2018 04:02:25
Does anyone think that there is a team in the Champions League LFC can't beat. I don't think there is a single group that would be scary to get out of. I have not been this confident in LFC in over 10 years. Im also confident in the depth to challenge in all 4 competition. I fully expect to see silverware this season.

8.) 30 Aug 2018 06:02:08
I just can't stomach the thought of another away trip to Rome, bloody scum. I'd also love to avoid us travelling too far mid-week.

9.) 30 Aug 2018 06:20:08
Completely with you there 420, give us any team because it makes no difference imo, we'll smash the majority of the so called big teams, we're the big team to be watching now, we'll be underestimated as per usual and we'll thrive because of it.

10.) 30 Aug 2018 06:51:32
I would like us to wrap the group up by gameweek 5 so we can manage the players and help with fatigue.

11.) 30 Aug 2018 07:18:59
Anfield will carry us to the knock outs comfortably.

12.) 30 Aug 2018 07:51:43
Salah, great to see you back mate and hope recovery going well. Totally agree with your post, as well as the other posts re not worrying who we get. In any sport/ competition you have to beat the best somewhere along the line to win it. If it’s in the earlier rounds it can create confidence and momentum and help progression. I think we are now equipped to compete with the “big guns”. Not saying we are nailed on winners, but will give any team a game. Let’s just take what comes, be confident and enjoy the ride. There is a good chance we may be there or there abouts come finals day.

13.) 30 Aug 2018 08:49:38
Not scared of anyone but the point of the group stages is to get through with as little nerves and if possible, as little expenditure of energy as you can. So I'd be much happier with the weakest group than the strongest.

14.) 30 Aug 2018 08:54:28
Exactly my thoughts too Barr and thank you very much, have a good one mate!

15.) 30 Aug 2018 09:08:17
Agree with the sentiment Salah but do we really want to be giving our all to beat Real or Bayern when we could be wrapping up Moscow at half time and resting for the midweek game? Especially when we have some huge fixtures (most notably against City at home) sandwiched by CL games?

16.) 30 Aug 2018 09:28:52
I can’t wait for the CL draw and for me I’m sat on the fence. Do I want a tough group where it will no doubt bring some great matches but be a risk or would I prefer a easier group like we had last season. I think a big factor is the premier league games we have straight after CL. Those are Spurs (A), Chelsea (A), Huddersfield (A), Arsenal (A), Watfors (A) and Bournemouth (A) . Just looking at those fixtures if we want to compete for the league then for me the easier the CL draw the better. Would be pretty tough taking on a Barca, Real, PSG, Juve, Dortmund etc midweek before traveling to a Spurs or Chelsea days later.

17.) 30 Aug 2018 09:57:51
Very true hjinkle, I can't disagree there mate.

18.) 30 Aug 2018 11:06:07
I'm loving all the positivity, "there's no team we can't beat, we'll get out of any group, nobody will want to play against us", it is such a pleasure to read this stuff. But, please when the draw happens don't come on and then be the whining supporter saying "oh they'll be tough to beat and oh I'm nervous of these guys". Save the whining and stay upbeat folks, re-read your posts above and stand by your comments.

Good morning.

Love Ed 001's player profiles.

Would Ed 002 be interested in doing an occasional profile of people he has met or people who interest him? Not necessarily from the world of football. It's just that it would be really fascinating to hear about some of those people that Ed 002 considers to be of significance.

Tommy Gunn

{Ed002's Note - It is an interesting thought Tommy and actually one I might be able to do something with.}

1.) 17 Aug 2018 11:34:00
Id be all on that. I'm sure there are some pearlers that won't be able to shared though unfortunately!

2.) 17 Aug 2018 11:37:21
I would really look forward to it if you can can find the time and the inclination.

3.) 17 Aug 2018 11:45:05
Brilliant idea Tommy - I would love to read those too!

4.) 17 Aug 2018 13:10:50
I’ll second that. Great idea mate.

5.) 17 Aug 2018 13:26:35
It was hearing about Aretha Franklin that made me think about it.

Wouldnt be at all surprised to hear that Ed002 had met her sometime.

{Ed002's Note - Nope.}

6.) 17 Aug 2018 19:32:21
She’s a bit mainstream for ed002 😄

Look forward to these ed002 👏.

7.) 18 Aug 2018 00:09:54
I bet he could belt out a pretty decent rendition of R. E. S. P. E. C. T or Natural Woman when the mood strikes!

{Ed0333's Note - Ed’s 001 does a passable impression of a natural woman I mean a wonderful rendition of natural woman.

8.) 17 Aug 2018 23:36:23
Great suggestion Tommy. Looking forward to it. Can't wait to hear who it was that got Ed into the rodeo clown business.

09 Aug 2018 17:33:43
So did Chelsea manage to sign Fekir?

Seems like they were might close and might have done.

If they have it seems they may have paid quite a bit more than we were going to pay originally.

Tommy Gunn

1.) 09 Aug 2018 17:50:05
According to lots of people on the site yesterday Fekir to Chelsea was a done deal.

2.) 09 Aug 2018 18:20:22
Don’t think they did, Aulas up to his old tricks.

Maybe Klopp will do what Paisley would have done then as I think Jurgen has a mixture of Shanks and Bob’s qualities

He has the ability to inspire the fans and bring the club together but he also has built a team of specialists around him with coaches medics nutritionists analysts etc

Klopp is loyal but if you don’t follow the game plan then he gets rid.

Think we trust in Klopp and see where we go.

We have got a red machine rather than a load of galacticos and that’s the way it should be.

If Fekir does sign this time could we use the LFC footage that was recorded last year or do we have a 2019 version instead?

Recycling is good for the planet after all.

Hope you have some quality down time in your time away.

What about an out of date Cadbury’s selection box a tub of Italian ice cream and 22 million for Lovren?

Tommy Gunn

{Ed001's Note - that depends on the brand, is it Sidoli's ice cream? I always liked him as, when I was very little he was my mam's boss and was always nice to me. When my dad was in hospital with a collapsed lung or a hole in it (I am not sure exactly I was only about 2 or 3 at the time) he used to send in 3 meals a day to my dad because me ma told him that he had complained the food was terrible.}

Trent is ahead of both Trippier and Walker

We have the best two attacking full backs in EPL.

For our side we couldn’t do any better in all honesty.

They fit perfectly into our system.

Happy Days.

Do we include the stars on our Champions League kit? I couldn’t see the 5 stars on our badge and of course we now need 6, just saw a number 5 on the Big Ears Cup on shirt sleeve?

Think we should have 6 stars included on the badge.

Spurs lost at Citeh but got through by VAR and away goals but we beat Citeh home and away when we played them in Champions League last season.

Pep would not want to play us.

We should fear no one in European competition.

We are head and shoulders above all EPL teams so far as European football is concerned and we should embrace that and ask the rest to bring it on.

Tommy Gunn
