Can't see any movement on the VVD situation. Feel for the boy to a certain degree. If he stays there the fans might not forgive him for the statements about the club etc.
I know it would take a massive turn around from his club but putting the things right sometimes after a big F. up is the best thing to do. It's the same in life someone has to make the move no matter how small to start building bridges again.
But hey were Jurgen has done wrong by this one and others. hopefully that will be that and we move on with any other additions or not.

I trust Macca and his info. He said Tuesday could be the day that a centre half signs, finally. Given that Tuesday has been and gone, I suspect the chances of VVD signing are very slim at best.
Maybe Milner as a stop gap for the year?

I think we are sorted for this window folks. Wouldn't it be great for a few of our rivals to drop points this weekend as we don't play until Monday night. It's great going into the game know the others have messed up.
Serious note. I think we really need to be careful and calculated in our next midfielder or forward player bought as it could either help or unbalance the team. Someone like lemar on the left of the midfield 3 who is left footed would balance the team nicely for me.
But hey let's just enjoy this team atm cause nothing last forever in football. YNWA.

Watched lemar for the first time against nice.
Wow. How poor was he. He just kept passing the ball backwards. Your cam see theach potential but not 90m worth. No where near imo.
However, Jean seri for nice looks amazing and would be the icing on the cake for us as a DM.
{Ed001's Note - Jean Seri? The guy who couldn't complete a 5 yard pass in the 2 games I have seen him play? Normally I wouldn't judge a player on just 2 games, but seeing as you are judging on one, we may as well all make ridiculous knee jerk assessments of players right?}

Ha ha ha Classic Ed01. Seri reminds me of the hype on Renato Sanchez lol! Watch Lemar vs Man City CL last year Ravi! He was brilliant! His close control is excellent.
{Ed001's Note - I have to admit, when I watched Seri he was abysmal. His control was heavy, his passing was atrocious etc and he looked like a semi pro player. However I did only see him twice so he could have been having off days. Lemar I have seen a lot of and he has real quality to his play, though this season has not been anywhere near his best, like the team itself.}

You are spot on Ed01. I have watched Lemar quite a lot from last year. He is very much a David Silva. Excellent left foot to begin with. Best feature is his ability to move with the Ball. First touch is tremendous. He can dribble and get past players very easily. Like Coutinho he is not blessed with blessed with pace infact he doesn’t need one! He dance through players. Set piece expert and his long range passing and shooting is fantastic.
{Ed001's Note - last season he was excellent in most games and a large part of the reason they won the league and did so well in Europe.}

I mean do you blame Lemar or Monaco? They've absolutely gutted their team from last year, Mbappe gone, Mendy gone, Silva gone, Lemars in out in out shake it all about, Bakayoko gone, Fabinho gets linked to a club every other day, have to feel kinda sorry for them.

If Klopp wants Lemar and thinks he's quality like the Ed said, you can best believe that he did he and the TC did not watch him for a couple of games. They must have watched him a whole lot and had we sold Cou last summer like Klopp wanted to later on, LLemar would be here. I will defer to the Ed and Klopp on this one asthey have seen him play lots of times. I have seen bits of pieces so i can't judge.

If we don't have anyone lined up to replace Countinho, then I would pay up for Keita. I look at that midfield of ours, and it looks so average. Keita should make a difference and inject some much needed quality at least for the league games and guarantee a top 4 finish.

It's simple really. Lemar should get our undivided attention. No body else should be looked at until we know 110% wether he is available or not. If it not till the summer then so be it. Lemar and ketia in our team atm would be FRIGHTENING. Hope we can pull this off. YNWA.

Why would we limit ourselves to just one player who may or may not even be available this window? He also may want different teamS. Not sure how viewing multiple players as backup options at the very least is a bad thing.

TJ, we have a bad habit as a club of always getting the back up and the backup ends up being terrible.
I really love this new way of doing things that LFC have started. Keita, no backup plan, we wanted him and only him no matter if we had to wait. VVD, same again.
If we have to wait till the summer for Lemar, so be it. We have enough quality in the club to get top 4 as it stands.

Great result. I thought VVD did OK to be fair, think this is going to be a big week for the club going forward if they get enough money for couts and get prepared right for the city game I really think we can beat them.

The best thing about Vvd for me last night is that he seemed to do more talking to team mates than the rest of the back 4 have done all season. Off course that won't matter for much of his own game is crap! He is also a goal threat, obviously! He could have scored 3!
