Any of the Ed's know anything about what sky sports news are reporting saying we are in for Tevez? to me he's just what we need but I think it's more than likely lazy journalism and the aftermath or juve's defeat last night. Thought he wanted to return home too!!Hope I'm wrong mind as it's more bulldog spirit like him and Milner we need right now!! Any insight? Cheers
{Ed002's Note - Boca Junios would like Carlos Tevez to return this summer but (a) money for a transfer and wages will be an issue, and (b) Daniel Angelici has seriously miffed Juventus by instructing Tevez to terminate his contract by whatever means are necessary. Trading some cash and options on midfield prospect Adrián Cubas, striker Guido Vadalá and/or Federico Bravo may be something that suits all parties - but the players would need to agree. Adrian Ruocco has said Tevez will see his contract out and then move to Boca as a free agent. I don't know of any interest from Liverpool in Tevez, although the Liverpool fans are getting their rocks off thinking about him.}

I thought we should have moved heaven and earth to sign him in 2009. But when he disappeared off to the beach in the middle of the season a few years ago I was grateful we dodged that bit of drama. City at least has adequate cover, where we would have missed him terribly. Great player, but not sure if we need the circus that might come with. 31 as well.

Does anyone know the best way to re watch Thursday's game? I watched it in a mates as I don't have BT Sport but usually watch on my laptop if at home. I've got sky sports, anywhere I could find something on there or on my laptop? Cheers.

Agree mate I think it's very easy for teams to fall away this time a year but we are playing well and my feelings are we will finish strong, I actually really looking forward to stoke game as things are about to click and Stoke could find themselves a heavy defeat, I wish I was at this game I know the crowd will be loud.

On the summer transfers: I'd more than happy with begovic think he's a very good keeper and too good to sit on Chelsea's or anybody's bench week in week out. I don't think our full backs need immediate attention although Moreno is sometimes a bit irratic, for me Joe Gomez and flanno would give us solid full back positions. Never seen Matip play but if he's any good he could tighten up the centre of our very leaky defence! Would be great if he was the next sammi hyppia! Can't see much movement coming in in middle of mid except the business we've already put in place. maybe Joe Allen and teixeira to depart to reduce the numbers. Let's shift ballo and benteke bring markovic back from his loan for the width we so much need and hope klopp finds a gem or 2 out there! YNWA.

Clyne will hold RB. Then Moreno/ Gomez for LB and Flannagan cover for both. Wisdom aswell. I read that Matip had been an ever present this season, which makes me wonder why he's being allowed to leave?
Iv not seen anything of him to know if he will be 1st choice or back up. Anyone else seen enough to pass comment?

Begovich would be a great shout- I reckon he would gain us about 10 points a season over mignolet, and I am convinced we will not have enough outfield quality next season to make up for the points mignolet will cost us, which means we will not make the CL as long as he is our first choice keeper.
He just costs you too many points each season, and unless you have a suarez up front you can't score enough to compensate for that loss of points.
But you just know the club will find a way of deciding its a bad idea to move for begovich.
They'll spend 25m on a luxury player like lallana that we don't need, and they will find a reason not to spend 10m to strengthen the second most important position on the pitch.
Collectively they repeatedly demonstrate all of the intelligence and sense of a stunned gerbil.
No, I'm being unfair on the gerbil- it will make the right decisions required to survive and thrive- this shower are just going to continue dragging the club into major debt and major problems, and we will never have real success whilst they are working as they currently do.
The biggest demonstration of their utter collective incompetence is that after costing us about ten points every season, mignolet is still there and still first choice.
Its impossible to imagine chelsea, utd, or city giving a regular starting place to such an unreliable and shaky keeper.

Totally agree, we have enough "luxury" players I'm not saying they're bad players but IMO we need more players who won't go missing in games and can stand up when the going gets tough. Players who can also play too. Chelsea demonstrate this well (not so much this season) they have a good mix of flair and strong technically gifted players who grind out results when the team aren't performing but also turn it on when it counts.

For the love of God, Gomez is a CB and Not a LB which is why IMO, he may have had decent games but I wasn't impressed overall. We have a ready made FB in Brad Smith so why play a CB at LB exactly? Play the CB at CB and stop with this square peg in round hole nonsense. As for Moreno, he's aweful and needs to be sold.

Theres players that stand up and be counted and then those that let the side down and don't want to get their hands dirty when the going gets tough.
Its where the expression that you should field an 11 of players who could all be captain comes from.

I love reading this site hoping for some breaking rumour from the eds or macca but I can't stomach reading some of the tripe people ask. FSG are based in the states we have been told a meeting could possibly have been scheduled anyway with them. Who knows 100% that that Ayre has returned empty handed.? .? . If he's returned at all yet. Our first offer won't be accepted and we are probably going to have to splash some SERIOUS cash to land this boy. Some people are too eager and the assumptions are getting a bit lame now! On to Sturridge though, if anyone is willing to pay the reported 18m then I'd bite their hands off. Both if them! I think we've had his best season, deadly when fit but a lot of money on wages just to keep the medical team busy!

RDL people like Coutinho because the guy will track back and tackle and bust his balls. His game has developed this over last couple of seasons and the fans see it. If DS did the same he'd be irreplaceable. But sadly he doesn't graft for the team and that's why he didn't start Thursday night, because klopp needed workers who would run off the ball, we couldn't afford to carry anyone and when the opposition have the ball sadly it's 11 against 10 when he plays!
