Hi Eds

Since Sterling has made it known he wishes to move on, do you think he has any chance of being offered a new contract at all? i know footballers like rooney have done this in the past, or is it a case of he will be sold now and no more discussions will be held?

bwettysollocks316

{Ed001's Note - there is a contract offer on the table and discussions will continue for a bit longer yet.}

1.) 19 May 2015 17:09:15
So nothings been decided yet either way mate. I just don't see a way back for him after what's been said?

{Ed001's Note - worse things have been said and resolved.}

2.) 19 May 2015 19:53:58
Remember Suarez at the end of the 2011-12 season? He was apparently absolutely dead set on a move, with similar media reports to the current Sterling ones. Then he ended up staying and having a brilliant season with us.

3.) 19 May 2015 19:43:19
I guess so. what's your gut instincts on him staying/leaving? Wont hold you to it either.

{Ed001's Note - I think he has burnt his bridges now, sadly. He has been held up as a scapegoat.}

Fair play to newcastle we didn't really deserve anything out the game, nevermind dust down and we go again its a long season and there will be more good days more bad but at least we know klopp will get it right next time he learns by his mistakes so chins up lads look out sion! Lol.

1.) 06 Dec 2015 19:26:10
Sion will surely be a time to rest players before the busy festive schedule.

2.) 06 Dec 2015 19:45:14
I thought both teams were poor today. Be hard to pick out a motm from that game. Hope this puts to bed any nonsense talk of achieving more than a champions league spot. We have been spoilt the past few weeks and some just took this game as 3 points in the bag. Going to the pub to drown my sorrows after that. Thursday can't come quick enough.

3.) 06 Dec 2015 20:08:46
It wasnt pretty but one bad hame doesn't mean we shouldn't believe in better than top 4 all teams are struggling just now we just need to be sure we are still within touching gear after the festive period if we are the belief will remain! Only be down if we were playin that bad week in week out and we haven't just a bad day ar the office lads.

4.) 06 Dec 2015 21:35:39
Klopp has coached 12 games and this is the very first one were we were aweful from beginning to end. I'll take those odds.

Come on my man sturridge! Please stay fit the rest of the season!

With regards to gerrard lfc are constantly reminded that we live off our history bringing gerrard back is just justifying that. Was hea great player in his prime yes a club legend yes but at the same time lfc need to be looking to the future not the past we need to be finding the new gerrards not bringing back the old one who regardless of what people say will try and take over and throw his infleunce around, gerrard is past it and deserves to be left in the past. Since he left he's acted with no class at all does he deserve to come back not in my opinion leave klopp to get on with it he is the future of lfc.

Agreed.

Who cares if he went to Chelsea or Man Utd to train.
He's history. let's look to the future!

i know there is a lot of love for klopp etc on here just now and i just want to add to the love in.

Chelsea game, wow what a game, we looked really effortless in our playing style we were excellent well drilled and efficent, all the players (bar milner) looked composed and knew there role and did it well, and the mind games and dirty tactics of mourinho were ignored so we could just concentrate on playing football.

So glad we got the win but it wasnt a fluke it was a well deserved win at home to chelsea under mourniho which i think is our first ever win over him there.

when Chelsea scored we didn't loose our heads and just kept chipping away, and we got the result, so well done to the players and the management, as we are seeing good signs and i just can't wait to see were this season takes us now.

I know a lot of people were upset at the coaches sacked after klopp coming in, but under BR can you imagine what the result would of been? stats would of shown 55 attempts at goal and 29 on target but no goals and complete lack of understanding of players on the pitch, so nice and refreshing to see such a big difference in such a small time!

keep believing LFC fans as if klopp and the coaches can do this in such little time we hopefully will get consistently better in playing and in the transfer market that will see us in the champs league and doing well in the league very soon!

The one person i do fear for is milner though he was clearly a rodgers man as he ran around and got "stuck in" to players this is not what klopp is about and i think his LFC career is going to be very short lived if he doesn't get it together, again glad to see sakho, can, lucas etc all showing BR he was wrong in his treatment of them!

Why has no one mentioned the pissing about by our own goal, dangerously close to Chelsea forwards. I do not understand this time wasting dangerous behavior, I thought that had all stopped but there it was again.

31 Oct 2015 23:13:10
Well i think can and lucas have been brilliant glad to see can finally showing glimpses of what he can do altho now hea being played IN position it helps as for lucas so glad he stayed both have proved how wrong brendan was all along let's be glad we still have these two players aftr his reign! Milner what can i say other than having a mare leta hope he takes the hint and gets it together going forward or as klopps said if u don't want to be my friend there will be a problem! Looks like bodgers liked him as he is acting as clueless as he was!

1.) 01 Nov 2015 03:21:34
How time have changed. This page were over the moon when we signed Milner.
Big shout to Ed01,Red Rum, Myself, Big Al and the very few minorities who never wanted this signing.

2.) 01 Nov 2015 05:43:39
You are unbelievable!

3.) 01 Nov 2015 06:02:56
Really Harry? Should we also credit you for wanting to sell Lucas?

4.) 01 Nov 2015 06:34:54
AG

I never wanted to rid Lucas. But I always claimed and believed we need a better player in that position and there are quite a lot out there. And I would love klopp to bring a top class Matic type player in the summer.

Lucas is good but then if you press him he buckles and make late challenges resulting free kicks. Lucas is slow and if you add CAN alongside him ( who is not a fine passer ) it makes his life more miserable.

Oscar was poor as well Hazzard. Liverpool got time on the ball after they scored.

{Ed001's Note - you spent the summer saying we should get rid of Lucas!}

5.) 01 Nov 2015 06:50:34
Well I would have, Had we shown any intention on buying a top class DM. BR never wanted a true DM instead more like a deep playmaker which made it clear not looking out for a DM.
He then thought nonsense in deploying Henderson in the deeper role ( did not work ) Milner in the deeper role ( did not work ) . Couldn't pull Kovacic in.

What would happen if Lucas gets an injury?

One word Screwed.

6.) 01 Nov 2015 08:59:52
So you would have got rid of Lucas-, what would have happened if his replacement got an injury? Screwed.

7.) 01 Nov 2015 09:48:36
Really? Can u see past the end of your nose? Lucas getting injured at this point in time would be a blow the team dosnt need but if u actually watch the games, listen to what Klopp and the players are saying you would know that we are building a style of play and system/formation that allows players to slot into and know what there roles are. You have claimed many times Lucas was our worst player and should be sold to deny that is pure nonsense, your either very fickle or are not one to stand by their convictions. Our team is now becoming exactly that, a team, yes certain players will give better or more consistent performances in their favoured positions but what is being implemented allows say Joe Allen to come in and play Lucas's role, I'm not saying he will play it better or even play it well but he will know what is required and what is expected of him in that role and that's one of the biggest differences between Brendan and Klopp.

8.) 01 Nov 2015 10:59:08
You just see what you want to see, Harry.

9.) 01 Nov 2015 11:35:59
Harry, are you BR in disguise as in, trying to have it both ways regarding Lucas?

Hi chris i know mate i would love benteke to prove me wrong in my view i just think if u pay 35 million for a striker you would think he would have the desire to better himself especially when he's being paid millions a year!

He just has no drive to succeed and at 6ft 4 they can call him a beast all they want a beast that has a terrible attitude is useless.

Another scary thought is were lfc not thinking about him and rodgers asa double act at one time! Lol van gal a great? No chance agree with ed 1 he's another pep guadiola inherits great teams then gets ahort term success and leaves, van gal alienates players spends to much money is arrogant and is full of himself he's just a rogers with titles.

bwettysollocks316

{Ed001's Note - he is similar in one respect in particular - initial success went to his head and ruined him.}
