why is it that this window (and last) liverpool's targets have been well known and in the papers? this is not how liverpool usually does business! {Ed030's Note - I am sure every clubs want's to keep there dealings behind the scenes but unfortunately that's not always possible. }

Modric has also only started 15 games. 15 is quite a lot after 25 rounds of la liga.

Cotsi, it isn't possible to pre-spend money. Businesses invest according to their anticipated cashflow. ED002 is wrong.
The windfalls from winning the CL and EPL might lower the debt % but the winnings certainly weren't "prespent" as that isn't how any of this works.

How can you be concerned with money?
Win the Champions league - spend nothing
Win the league - spend less than the competitors.
Liverpool have access to the cash to buy whoever they want without coming anywhere close to distress.
Also, who cares if they borrow? Every business borrows money to better itself. (LFC has always been a business btw)

Liverpool currently have 3 empty slots for non-HG players. I don't know why people seem to think there is an issue here.
Any further sales only add to the slots.
Last season only 15 of the 17 slots were filled, until Minamino joined. Since then Lovren and Chirivella have left.
If anyone needs to be HG, it is the third keeper.

Almost every business has debt. If you were correct, the Allison purchase would not be possible. Your ramblings about debt are wrong. With all due respect, either provide substance to your thesis or stick to the transfer rumours and leave the finance side to those of us who can understand financial statements.
