Any movement for Roberto Firmino from LFC?

hopeful_red

{Ed002's Note - Firmino will very likely move from Hoffenheim in the summer with talks already having happened with Manchester City and Inter. Whilst I understand that there was a reasonable level of confidence from all parties that a deal will go ahead with Manchester City, they remain in a difficult position with FFP and cannot necessarily move quickly in the case of Firmino. Barcelona (who would delay a move until January), Arsenal, Dortmund, Zenit and Schalke are probably all still interested but none are apparently active in looking for something to happen. Manchester United have looked at him again but are not seemingly looking for a deal. Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Shakhtar and Inter have dropped their previous interest. I am aware that Everton, Dynamo Kiev and Liverpool looked at Firmino last season but did not declare any interest with his agent at the time - although Liverpool have looked again, but a move to Merseyside seems very unlikely. Roberto Firmino was previously subject of a rejected bid from Southampton.}

Good info! Thanks ed:)

With his wealth of footballing experience and ruthless streak infront of goal, could LFC kill two birds with one stone and sign Sepp Blatter as a player/manager next season?

What's the situation with Roberto Firmino?

Any chance of a move to LFC?

Must be on the most wanted list.

What goalkeepers are potentially available as targets for LFC this January?

In your opinion eds, who would be the best option to bring in?

hopeful_red

{Ed002's Note - Ruddy is certainly an option. Chances of Valdez were blown. Others are freebies for next summer.}

Evening Eds,
With Pochettino looking likely to be leaving The Saints could this be a sign of the inevitable exodus of players?

On the flip side, with Rodgers signing a new deal (any idea of the terms?) Is the narrative now in place for the first signings to be confirmed.

Do you see LFC getting transfers wrapped up early or will the big names always be after the WC?

Also any further info on Lallana, Lovren and Clyne?

Many thanks

hopeful_red

{Ed002's Note - Nothing new.}

Seen some rumours on Ever Banega moving to Italy.

Could he be an option for LFC? Perhaps if a gap opens up in midfield.

Is Sakho leaving?

hopeful_red

1.) 02 Aug 2015 07:40:31
I have no idea, but wouldn't be surprised.

2.) 02 Aug 2015 08:34:15
Let's hope not, but let's face it he's not going to be happy playing midweek early round cup ties, just like most of the team that play at Swindon today. I can see Ilori Sakho Lucas Can and Markovich all asking for Loan moves to be honest, so they can get games.

3.) 02 Aug 2015 14:46:50
And we will struggle and BR will be sacked and well never get those players back.

Have LFC had a look at Andrea Belotti at Palermo?

Seems to be an excellent finisher, fantastic in the air and young.

Eds and reds, would like to know your opinion on Balotelli and why he had such a poor season by his own standards.

I know he's had a lot of issues in the past regarding his attitude but to see him leave with a huge loss for us for a player who should be coming to the peak of his ability seems a real shame.

Does he really care about playing for LFC?

And where will he be next season?

hopeful_red

{Ed001's Note - Balotelli cares about nothing other than himself. He will never amount to anything because he is not actually all that good.}

1.) 11 Jun 2015 02:00:08
what is wrong with the kid ed01, everytime he always seems to blame his rough upbringing on the way he is. however their are other players who have probably come from worse and still been more appreciating of the opportunity they have been given and worked hard on their game. i just for the life of me cannot pinpoint what goes through his head sometimes.

{Ed001's Note - he is spoilt mate, it really is that simple. He has had a rough upbringing, but it has just given him a chip on his shoulder instead of inspiring him.}

2.) 11 Jun 2015 02:50:53
I really think balotelli suffered due to our playing style. He is not a Suarez messi Ronaldo who can play in any formation because they are amazing.
However, with a strike partner I'm pretty sure he would of actually been pretty good last season. He is by no means rubbish, the system played was totally against his attributes.

I know people will say you can't set formations for one player, but when it comes to strikers, surely that's what you do, so we can create and score goals.

Anyway, what do I know. Just my 2 pennies worth

{Ed001's Note - sorry but he is not good enough, I have watched him for years and he will never be a top player as he has not got the attitude to improve himself. He is worse than he was as a youngster, those kind of players always end up being wasted talents.}

3.) 11 Jun 2015 09:20:07
I agree, why we signed a player who is static, when we strive to play a pressing game is beyond me. I'm not inspired by Ings, but that signing makes a lot more sense to me.

4.) 11 Jun 2015 09:40:51
I agree he's not actually that good ed001, but even he should have had a better season than that.
The tactics didn't suit him at all. Not trying to excuse the fact he's lazy and poor though.

5.) 11 Jun 2015 09:44:53
What a specimen of a man. He is built something unbelievable like look at the muscles in his legs, etc and he looks like a player at peak physical condition.

Pity he doesn't seem to like running.

6.) 11 Jun 2015 15:10:43
If you don`t work on your talent and strive to get better, you will be left behind by a less talented BUT harworking, commited and hungrier player. It`s that simple.

How about Abel.Hernandez?

Seems to be out of favor at hull.

hopeful_red

1.) 04 May 2015 17:20:21
Maybe there is a reason why he is out of favor at relegation threatened Hull?

2.) 04 May 2015 18:16:01
Marcheranho was sidelined at relegation threatened west Ham, and even when he played he was on right wing !

3.) 04 May 2015 18:17:43
I know you are hopeful man, but that is a little too hopeful!

Ashley could be lining Balo up for a Zero hours contract, McLaren sends him a text in the morning if he's needed at St James' or sports direct.

No play, no pay!

Oh my gosh, that would be nice. Perhaps Felipe Anderson and him can rent a flat together in Bootle.

hopeful_red

{Ed001's Note - what is wrong with Bootle? It is a beautiful seaside resort, well known in Brazil, honest.}

"Hello, Ian speaking, oh hi Roberto, how are you? What's that? You want to do a swap deal? Kovacic and Shaqiri for Skrtel and Balotelli. Well, ahem, I think perhaps we could come to some kind of agreement".

Doesnt seem to have a lot of swagger, Ings. That natural confidence you need as a striker.

Look forward to him proving me wrong.

Cracking finish by Belotti, he seems to have thay killer instinct.

Seems to me that he just wants to play.

He could have sat on the bench at City or Arsenal and earned a bundle.

Let's hope he stays fit and injury free and agrees to terms that give him an incentive to achieve results.

May have poached us a few against the poorer sides we failed to win against.

Doesn't really seem to have the speed and awareness that would suit us better.

18 goals is not to be scoffed at though. Wonder how much he'll go for this summer.

We deserve to finish outside of top four based on our performances this season, I wish it weren't so.

Its frustrating and disappointing as we were right in the mix last year so can understand why a lot of people are upset.

Bar last years exceptional break from the norm we've been steadily improving. If only in small steps.

The bigger picture is things are on the up. Its slow and painful but we'll get there.
