Edinson Cavani's agent confirms Rodgers is in for the PSG striker

"There was much interest in the player during the past six months. I can confirm that Cavani has heard proposals from Liverpool and Arsenal, " he said.

"He would love to play in England, but has not yet made a final decision. He is not interested in money and fame, he just wants to be happy playing football."

Liverpool have bid €6.2million for Alves, according to Mundo Deportivo, as they look to bolster their full-back options.

{Ed002's Note - PSG and Barcelona were working on a deal that would see Dani Alves move to Paris as part of a deal for Marquinhos. I am not aware of any offer for Alves from Liverpool but if there were and considering the addition of Manquillo, then I suspect a number of younger players will have to question their future at the club. Alves was to move to PSG but a delay elsewhere removed that option. Barcelona are keen to move him on as soon as they can and Milan took a look. It strikes me as an odd and expensive move if true.

Balotelli has been playing up again and will be leaving Milan this summer. Monaco and Arsenal have shown some interest and PSG might be interested. If Liverpool are considering him, and I don't have any indication that they are, it would be difficult to see how he would fit in as a regular starter with the other players - and the style of game Brendan Rodgers is looking to play. Mino Raiola was in Brazil during the World Cup and spoke with representatives of other clubs and to Mr Wenger - who understands the full financial implications of buying the player - which are not inconsiderable.}

Defender Kolo Toure has seen a move to Qatari club Al Gharafa fall through because he could not agree personal terms, according to a newspaper.

The 33-year-old defender, who has one year left on his current deal, has an agreement with Liverpool that he can leave for nothing if he finds a suitable club.
