Hi Ed, Love the site, I have a quick question suppose we progress if one of Trent or Hendo pick up another yellow in Rome will they miss the Final or maybe it doesn't count at this stage of the competition?
{Ed001's Note - they would need 2 yellows or a red to miss out in the next match. UEFA made sure that they wouldn't risk a Ronaldo or Messi-less final if either of those two teams got to the final.}

yes, and near the end of the game V Palace, we switched to a back three, giving Robbo more space to attack, which he did,

AOE, I watched the game and I'm not sure Madrid would have scored a hatful, IMO. Yes, Lloris made some good saves BUT so did Navas for RM. Could Real have won? Yes BUT so could Spurs and Spurs could easily have scored 3 goals and potentially should have had a penalty. Hence, a draw is a fair result.

AOE, I agree that save was insane. I was in the bar watching the game and we all screamed goal and then, THAT happened. Great game of gfootball and maybe the "busparkers" (they know who they are) could learn something from this game. Even Maribor had more shots at goal vs "them"

I concur with you Pegleg here. I love Ed2s impact on these pages but sometimes it irritates me to see him constantly shooting us down when it comes to others its business as usual, I see as double standards, just say.

Unfortunately ED002 is bang on. We're an embarrassment and have been for a while, just complete incompetence and looking likely we'll miss out on our main targets as a result. Not only that! We have no credible quality plan B, we are still poor at the back and we could lose our best player. So what should be our 'kick on' season challenging on all fronts could be a complete stinker due to incompetence and no plan B. So frustrating.

Agree with you AK. We are truly lucky to have someone in ed02 who is itk and doesn't beat about the bush. Of course he's going to be annoyed when he gets asked the same question 20 times a day when all you have to do is use the search. On top of that people still try and justify our behaviour in transfer dealing this summer.

I actually agree with ed02 about our conduct being embarrassing, and I feel if we hadn't messed our primary targets up so badly by being so unprofessional I think coutinho would of been sold. Also the sad part is that even more embarrassing is we have no other targets to go for so are clutching at straws hoping we still get them. I personally can't see how the club will save face if coutinho is allowed to go and we don't get a quality replacement with the lack of quality in our squad. As much as people don't like what ronnie whelan has said he's spot on about our transfers or lack of. Until something changes with how we conduct ourselves dealing with other clubs and find some decent scouts who find gems like Southampton and Leicester do we'll never challenge, even spurs are ahead of us now.

People would have an easier time not taking things to heart and accepting people for who they are, i love the info the eds bring, im a fan of the epl in general and if you ever check other eds rumour sites the overall temprament of responses are same the same not sure eds hate teams but i wouldn't be overly jovial answering the same questions over and over again to some fans who are just ungrateful, 2 teams fans have lost eds002's i do not want the same thing for us. Thanks for all your time eds i and many of us appreciate it.

In my opinion Liverpool FC needs to take a long hard look in the mirror. We used to set the standards with the way we conducted all our business but we have fallen a long way in this respect.
The club needs to swalllow its pride and learn from the way other clubs operate these days and I include the likes of Chelsea in that generalisation.
