Am I the only one ..................

{Ed002's Note - You have no knowledge of the game or the truth about where everthing hangs right now. Like som many before you, you are b;laming someone else - embarrassing.}

Good morning ed002 - ..........

{Ed002's Note - What a nasty little piece of worthless trash you are. You and the rubbish like you is what has dragged the likes of Liverpool down.}

We have to win two matches to be certain of a place in the ECL with 75 points. Arsenal have to win four to reach 74 points and man u have to win three to reach 73. Both these teams have to play at Southampton and united also have to play at Spurs. Man C have a home game against the current Champions who are in good and (importantly) lucky form. Anything can happen. We should qualify, even in 4th place. This may mean a play-off against a top team but there is nothing to say that we will be drawn against the best or that we lose anyway. The worst scenario in any case is a place in the Europa League. We should have won it last season and hopefully we will take this seriously. I would like to take this opportunity to wish Ajax all the best in this season's Final. After that disastrous result for Feyenoord yesterday they may even do the double.

1.) 08 May 2017 12:42:15
points tally for liverpool, arsenal, and utd will be 76,75 and 74 respectively, considering we all win the remainder of our games.

2.) 08 May 2017 21:10:02
Spot on, boys. In fact, all will be made clearer id Saints do a job on Arsenal on Wed. Let's hope so.

23 Apr 2017 23:42:04
Corporal Jones here - 'Don't panic! '. The Champions' League is not yet out of reach. The other candidates still have to play each other so there will be more points dropped. Our next match isn't until Monday week by which time the others will have played two more games and we will have a better idea of the situation. Those matches include a Manchester derby and a North London derby.
If by then we don't look like finishing in the Top 4 I would replace Clyne and Lovren (neither fit for purpose) with Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez. We have qualified for the Europa League so we will have a busier programme next season. I just hope that the Management team realise that all four competitions are important, not only to win but so that the club doesn't become the laughing-stock that it has been allowed to be in recent times. Unfortunately we are no longer number one but the Johnny-come-latelies still have a longer way to go before they can be spoken of in the same breath as Liverpool.

1.) 24 Apr 2017 09:35:54
Without Mane, we are done for.

2.) 24 Apr 2017 14:16:20
Did you say that after we beat Stoke and WB without Mane? Another ridiculous comment.

06 Apr 2017 23:55:22
I read in the Daily Mail that if the Manchester clubs win their games in hand over Liverpool they will go above them. Very clever thinking but as they have to play each other this is an impossibility. As it stands the maximum points that the top 6 can achieve is as follows:
Chelsea 96, Tottenham Hotpur 89, Manchester City 82, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester United 81. At least one of the two Manchester teams will lose 2 points when they play each. The same applies to Arsenal and Manchester United who have to play each other. Manchester United in fact still have FOUR matches against Top 6 clubs. The main thing is of course that Liverpool must win the remaining games. As it stands we are already assured of European football - hopefully it will be the Champions' League.

1.) 07 Apr 2017 06:51:14
We won't suddenly change now we have 7 games to go, we cannot beat the lesser teams.

West Brom match will be a bloody nightmare.

2.) 07 Apr 2017 07:12:58
I can see the headlines

"Daily Mail in misleading article shocker"

3.) 07 Apr 2017 08:16:14
The next two games are critical and not sure we're tough enough to battle it out with Stoke and West Brom.
A win at stoke and point at West Brom will do but 2 draws or worse and it's out of our hands then.

4.) 07 Apr 2017 08:28:12
Stoke at best will be a draw I can't see any points taken at West Brom away

Lfc lack steel and seeing games out - but honestly that is just 2 areas of a long long list of weaknesses lfc have
I don't really care if lfc reach top 4 or not il still support them
But tell me this. how do u expect klopp to be any different next year when he makes such stupid decisions
With the left back area klavan the sakho thing . tactics . he has Cosr lfc a lot of points just as much as individual players like the goalkeepers
I just don't think he is going to make lfc any different

I still prefer more defensive managers or really strict organisers I think they would be a better fit.

5.) 07 Apr 2017 09:14:58
Have you ever considered being a motivational speaker, realtalk?

6.) 07 Apr 2017 09:49:43
UTD could reach the CL by winning the EL which is far more easier than league games! That's second trophy in one season for them. This leaves us and Arsenal to fight for the 4th spot. City are destined for the 3rd place or higher.

7.) 07 Apr 2017 09:51:48
Another 12 points and we will be there, more than confident.

8.) 07 Apr 2017 09:52:40
1 game at a time.

9.) 07 Apr 2017 09:53:25
The Manchester clubs have to play each other so at least one of them can't go above us.

10.) 07 Apr 2017 09:50:51
We have 7 matches, 21 points available.

The most important thing is that we have the points on the board and City, UTD and Arsenal have to catch up irrespective of having games in hand. The pressure is on. Only City can go one point ahead of us. Arsenal and UTD will be level if they had to win their 2 games in hand. Are UTD going to beat Chelsea and City? Arsenal still have to play Spurs, UTD and Everton. Points will most definitely be dropped.

All roads lead to Anfield for a top 4 spot and we have a better goal difference than all of the three above mentioned teams too.

At this point it looks like UTD and Arsenal will be battling it out for 5th spot.

You can only take it one match at a time. Stoke up next and we are more than capable of beating them.

11.) 07 Apr 2017 10:06:47
Seriously why does anybody read the daily fail?

12.) 07 Apr 2017 10:28:42
Thankfully, neither West Brom nor Stoke are, or play like, bottom half teams.

13.) 07 Apr 2017 11:00:14
Daily mail readers are almost as bad as people that read the sun.

14.) 07 Apr 2017 13:29:55
I may be wrong but didn't we beat both stoke and west brim . I was more worried that we would loose to Bournemouth and you knew watching the game and knowing how we play that bouncing ball in the box late in the game was ending up in the net.

The top four is the place we should be at the end of the season . If we do great . If we don't I still love Liverpool and will continue to read this site and watch every minute I can.

Spurs are going well and I think will end 2nd. City united and arsenal will all drop points in the run in.
Games in hand mean nothing. We have the points from those games already.

Let's back the team be positive and enjoy watching this great club play.

15.) 07 Apr 2017 15:08:37
We are ahead of the competition and have a better run in - we should absolutely be confident of a top 4, however Mane is a big loss and really hope Llalana, Matip and Hendo come back soon to help offset that as collectively they are as important. Would like to see Origi upfront and Firmino on the right. Sturridge as impact sub.

Go get us home Klopp! We believe (except for Redtalk)

16.) 07 Apr 2017 15:42:56
We have the points in hand, Utd and Arsenal don't. They have to still go out and compete for those points and they are no cake walks either. Utd have City and Saints on the road. Good luck getting two wins when you can't score goals. Arsenal have LC (on a great run at home) and Saints on the road (where they never win) .

Also, City had a game in hand vs Stoke and got a point. That should tell you that games in hand mean NADA. We have the points, they don't so we are in the box seats right now. Their schedules are also brutal especially Utd's so top 4 ain't happening for them.

The media has some type of issue with LFC getting top 4 cos they always wanna make Klopp look bad hence, they compare his record (a pathetic argument) to BR's to make it look like he's failing, which he is NOT. Top 4 is up to us and us alone and if we handle our business 9easier said than done) we will get it.

17.) 07 Apr 2017 17:54:30
You know what? I'd rather have United run of games than ours, simply because you can almost guarantee we'll turn up against the bigger teams. Plus we're unbeaten against the top 6 this year, aren't we?

I think that the majority of us heard this rumour about a month ago. He is one of the hundred or so players that will be signed by Liverpool this summer. Personally I will wait until just after 11pm on 31st August when we will be able to start rumours about who we are signing in the January Transfer Window.

Passing a ball to a team-mate (not the goalkeeper) is even better.

He certainly has flourished - he's now scored SEVEN goals in 76 club matches.

We might even re-sign. I believe a lot of fans call him Judas! We are even looking at Nervo, Knox, Naughton, Gold, and Gray as we already have Flanagan and Allen.

I'm not sure that Bale would have signed. There was a time that Bale and that staunch Evertonian Aaron Lennon were posting a lot of insults about Scourers on social media. Lennon changed his tune and joined a second rate team. The biggest player that LFC missed out on was Christiano Ronaldo. He could have been bought for 5 million and he wanted to join Liverpool. The club didn't react so he joined United for 12.5 million. Who knows what would have happened had he joined Liverpool. The way the team was run he would probably have ended up playing alongside Nemeth and Della Vella.

The Fair Play rule doesn't apply anymore. Hopefully (and still possibly) England will have 4 clubs in the ECL and 3 in the EL. In the event that manchester united win this will become 5 and 2. That prospect is not a foregone conclusion (as many think) as Ajax is also a pretty good team and with Feyenoord almost certainly becoming Eredivisie Kampioenen tomorrow Ajax do not want to be over-shadowed.
