Seems pretty real this time - if true then whatever happens from here, you can't argue we don't have a top quality player in every position. Up to Rogers to pick the right team/tactics and we have a real shot at top 4.

2.) 16 Jul 2015 13:33:04
Eds never far away with there sorces if true fair play to them. Eds do u know ifs it's true that liverpool r going to make the bid

{Ed002's Note - I have explained over and over.}

3.) 16 Jul 2015 13:49:45
Yes I know u explained time an time again as I said u were spot on. But I was meanin is the papers just makin it up

{Ed002's Note - I have no ideas what the papers are saying.}

4.) 16 Jul 2015 13:58:02
Ok cheers

5.) 16 Jul 2015 14:02:53
Probably won't happen if Barrett says it, he doesn't get much, if anything right

Reckon we'll go back for Kovacic Ed01, would it depend on what the club have planned for Lucas ?
Cheers,
N

prendergel

{Ed001's Note - go back? We have never pulled out of the deal, it is still on the table. I feel like I am banging my head against a brick wall sometimes. It is Inter holding off not us.}

1.) 12 Jul 2015 20:41:53
They're holding back to look for alternative players to sell

2.) 12 Jul 2015 20:54:06
Hope we can work something out would be a terrific signing IMO.

3.) 12 Jul 2015 20:46:04
Sorry were doing your head in ed.

We're just going off some different info. Ed002 said that wr had the offer on the table but inter were not happy with the terms avaliable and Liverpool did not want to pay a premium on the player, so with that info us fans are hoping that now the club has some cash on the hip they might give inter the terms they want.

But if it'd thr other way ed and inter are happy with what we offered but just dint want to sell then we're knackered.

{Ed001's Note - Inter were not happy, but that doesn't mean the offer was removed off the table, it just meant Inter were looking elsewhere first before accepting it.}

4.) 12 Jul 2015 21:25:54
Yes and no there ed. Inter are holding back but only because of two reasons, 1 they would like a different party structure for the transfer and 2 they don't want to sell matteo, though the player himself is pretty sure he'll be leaving

09 Jul 2015 12:14:24
Ed01, any updates on what the actual **** is going on with Sterling.
I take it the sickness is just men behaving badly in order to quicken up the process? that could backfire as we tend with FSG to stand firm? and he could end up having to stay and play his way out of it albeit the club wanting rid at the price.
Any information on what has been said
Neil

prendergel

{Ed001's Note - he is still trying to leave and the club are still looking to sell.}

1.) 09 Jul 2015 14:49:06
I'd suspect some of this could be mischief making by Man City through the little t###s agent,create an untenable situation to drive the price back down closer to £40mill. If we do dig our heels in and he has to stay, just watch the propaganda machine kick in saying how he was misquoted blah blah blah, i'd still imagine he will go though, thank f**k!

2.) 09 Jul 2015 18:40:40
Thought exactly the same this morning Waro.

3.) 09 Jul 2015 23:00:49
Which is why we take the money and end this nonsense

Evening Ed's
Any news on IF we are to bring in another coach along side Pepijn Lijnders.
I also wanted to ask if this review was targeted at the head of Performance and opposition analysis? I see although qualified in their respective roles and everyone has to start somewhere they where brought in by Rodgers working for Reading n Swansea.
Cheers,
N

prendergel

{Ed001's Note - I do expect an assistant and another coach brought in to replace Pepjin in the academy at the very least. Not sure what the second part is actually asking, sorry.}

1.) 19 Jun 2015 20:02:46
Looking at the breakdown of our staff below the obvious bench warmers and although they are qualified in their areas I see Rodgers recruited them from Reading and Swansea so I'm getting at are they as good as what we require at this level, has this been looked at by FSG in the whole across the board review.

{Ed001's Note - some will be, some won't. Not all were from Swansea or Reading, we got some from Spurs, for instance.}

2.) 19 Jun 2015 20:23:14
Yeah agreed although I was referring too head of performance and opposition planning

{Ed001's Note - oh got you, sorry, I am tired and distracted tonight working on other stuff for the sites. Skim reading is obviously not a skill I am capable of! The head of opposition analysis should have been sacked for his inability to figure out what Basel were doing. So you certainly have a point with him, obviously not that good at analysis when it was well known exactly what they did in European football. Looking at how our players seem to lack the basic fitness to play regularly without needing holidays etc, I have to question the role of head of performance too now you mention it. It is hard to understand how the review has not come to the same conclusion....}

3.) 19 Jun 2015 20:47:55
Nailed it Ed. Both came from Reading and Swansea albeit one did study abroad when he came out of football early and had roles with the New Zealand squad.

{Ed001's Note - it is quite worrying now I am thinking about it, surely the opposition analysis role should have been the first to go? We clearly haven't a clue how to set up our tactics to beat an opponent, and that has to be at least partly down to him.}

4.) 19 Jun 2015 21:26:02
What role did pepjin get promoted to ed and what is your opinion of him as a coach, I don't know much about him except a couple of articles I've read

{Ed001's Note - I believe he is going to be taking Mike Marsh's role as first team coach. I am told by people who have seen his work and worked with him that he is a top class coach and we got lucky poaching him from Porto. They think he has a bright future as a manager one day. Porto try and appoint the best coaches they can find for their youth set up, they very much emphasise youth development. Which is why they grabbed him from PSV Eindhoven. I like his thinking, he wants to create individuals who work within a team framework, but to have their own strengths and be able to act off their own initiative. We really need some players able to do so, as it was clear during the last few games of the season that our players have little. Most of them were constantly trying to get instructions from the bench when we were losing, rather than just sorting it out for themselves on the pitch. I lost count of the number of times I saw a player looking bewilderedly at the bench during the Stoke game trying to figure out what they were meant to be doing.}

5.) 20 Jun 2015 00:32:17
Agree on the opposition analysis (if had anything to do with how we set up against Basle, Man Utd, Villa etc. ) as seemed bizarre at times that we couldn't spot our own weaknesses against other attacks.

6.) 19 Jun 2015 23:50:53
That's encouraging to hear. Thanks for the details. Any idea about AM and who would you like it to be. Cheers.

{Ed001's Note - I don't know who it will be, but it does seem Ed002's suggestion of Bolo Zenden is the best around.

By the way, in reply to zimbo, a member of the coaching staff has mentioned how they couldn't figure out the system Basle were using, which is why we couldn't sort out how to beat them. In fact, according to him, it was only after studying the two games afterwards, that the staff figured out how they kept swapping between 4-4-2 and 3-4-3. That is when we set up to try the 3-4-3.}

7.) 20 Jun 2015 09:56:14
Cheers for the reply ed,appreciated 👍

{Ed001's Note - you are welcome mate.}

8.) 20 Jun 2015 10:30:57
How much exactly was he paid to figure out our opposition tactics using tapes of the games afterwards? Lol
Never mind getting a job in football again, he should be lucky stacking shelves in a supermarket with that kind of forward thinking.

Question for ED 01
Tell me we aren't in talks for Bentaleb?
Cheers
Neil

prendergel

{Ed001's Note - we aren't in talks for Bentaleb.}

1.) 08 Jun 2015 16:41:09
Thanks for the reply. Sky sources understand LOL

2.) 08 Jun 2015 16:53:16
Spurs would never sell LFC any of their players, especially now that the 2 clubs are direct competitors for the 5th place trophy for the foreseeable future. And certainly not one of their promising talents unless we pay ridiculous money that would bankrupt the club. Would rather give Williams and Rossiter a chance than pay for other club's potential.

{Ed002's Note - You have a very bizarre idea about how the business works.}

3.) 08 Jun 2015 20:43:34
And why wouldn`t they? Is there a certain rule book that says so?

18 May 2015 17:26:53
Hi Ed's, could you tell me where the Macca rumours link has been banished too?
Cheers
Neil

prendergel

{Ed001's Note - it was removed as Macca is too busy to post as often as he did, so it was not worth having as a separate page any longer.}

1.) 18 May 2015 17:40:53
ok thanks for the reply.
Do you know what his last post was? close to any players so far.
Heard the club are talking to Napoli this week over Higuain

{Ed001's Note - no I can't remember sorry.}

2.) 18 May 2015 18:04:47
Use the search engine man, just type in "Macca" in there and see the magic.

3.) 18 May 2015 18:23:10
Macca was saying how we are still in for konoplyenka

4.) 18 May 2015 20:38:20
Are we still interested in Kono eds?

{Ed001's Note - not that I know of, his agent is trying to get him a move to us but the only teams in for him I know of are West Ham and Spurs.}

Ed01 was saying the bid is still on the table although not enough he's hoping we revisit the deal again before the start of the season. My question is that dependent on Lucas being moved on?
Cheers

prendergel

{Ed002's Note - No, Liverpool's offer was rejected. Move on.}

He's a very impressive coach and his ideas are breath taking . great education as well!

http://goo.gl/MZhPHb

have a read of this site, also played a large part in educating Depay and Ryan Gauld etc. Another coach I'd look at Cathro from Valencia, Scottish coach! another great education, have a read up on him.
Neil

prendergel

{Ed001's Note - Cathro just left Valencia to return to Scotland for personal reasons, I don't think he will be willing to leave just yet.}

Jay Riley is an absolute ****, sorry for the French ED but he's one jumped up little bitch, dare to question him or even give you're opinion and your toast, his mate Graeme Kelly is a gentleman and does have good sources within the club.
