We definitely need 5 in the midfield to try and cancel out Spurs' midfield of Modric and Parker who are both on good form, we need to shut Bale out of the game as he (although overrated) has been instrumental in their recent success. And of course, fantastic to have El Pistolero back!

We have used this system to great effect for most of the big games thus far but this will be the first time we have been able to field this front 5 in the same game.

Gerrard would feed Suarez's runs in behind and Adam to do the same for Bellamy…. whilst Carroll hits knock downs and layoffs for the on rushing attackers.

If executed well this will cause most teams problems as Bellamy and Suarez are brilliant at attacking from out to in and Gerrard and Adam are great at driving through the middle and picking out passes short and long. Carroll was particularly impressive against wolves at winning the ball in aerial duels; I hope he can replicate this against Spurs.

Suarez and Bellamy would cut in and either feed the overlapping fullback, dribble into the box, play a one-two with the Adam or Gerrard or hit Carroll.

With Suarez, Gerrard and Bellamy we can expect our goals from open play to increase but equally it is great to see that we now look dangerous from corners and set pieces…Kelly, Skrtel and Agger are all 6ft 3inches and have all scored this season from corners. Add Carroll to that and you have a potent 4 indeed.

This system ensure Suarez and Bellamy see a lot of the ball and have time to turn and use it without being constantly nailed from behind by a centre back …never a dull moment!
