Hi Ed002

With what's been said and explained about Texiara not happening, would you say it makes sense for us to move onto a next potential target as it seems clear a deal won't happen? And do you think we will move on?

You still traveling mate?

We all wait in aticipation for your transfer update. :-)

{Ed002's Note - If nothing can be done the club needs to decide if they wish to wait until the summer to see if he is still available and not snapped up by anyone else in the coming days or months, or to look to other options. The club are not stupid enough (I hope) to buy for the sake of it. The update will be tomorrow.}

It's a shame we couldn't offer cash plus player exchange deal. Surely Balotelli would suit the Ukraine with his fireworks!

Sturridge is back in training and has trained well for a full week now. Will be on the bench for the game at Saturday. He does NOT want to be injured and the rehabilitation is usually heavier than day to day training anyways.

You're right Davey, he's too talented to retire mate. I am happy waiting until January/ February next year before I think it time to move on. On his day he's up there with the best; the calls to sell him are absolutely ludicrous!

Well, that was quite a semantic oversight. Basically I don't agree with you Davey.

If we can't get Teixera I'd rather we were patient until the summer rather than buy a plan B. We have Origi and Sturridge coming back soon, not sure anyone else away from Teixera we've been looking at that would obviously improve our first team (excluding other positions like ter stegen. would love to see him joining)

For what its worth i agree with you Davey in essence, he may play small parts but much like kieron dyer his body can't sustain a football career. The evidence says he is done.

For Ed 002 - Would appreciate that update today whenever you can get round to it. Many thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Later today.}

To be fair, we have Sturridge, Origi and Ings coming back from injury as well as Firmino and Benteke, who can both play striker. If I could sign any of the players we have been linked with, it would be Matip, who offers a bit of steel in an area that has been troublesome for us this season. Granted, we brought in Caulker, and but this is likely to be Toure's last season with us and I don't think Caulker will sign a long term contract.

Waiting 'til summer to do any business is completely fine with me. Grujic is coming in and we have a lot of players that need a run in the side. One thing is for certain -- Klopp has a vast squad at his disposal, with a lot of talented youth and quite a few bloated wages to sort out. He'll know that and will be looking to get the best out of what he has available.
