Get shut if he has no interest in playing for the club look at selling but next summer.
Greedy players get on my f###### nerves.

It's about playing time, not money. He's not exactly been performing badly either, has he?

if you mean he wants playing time then yes he is greedy. With Liverpool openly active for more midfielders and Coutinho dropping into midfield he wants reassurances he will play.

As a Liverpool fan I don't want him to go. Since he got over his injury he has looked very solid. I can understand his hesitation to sign a new contract.

You've been a bit hard on the lad.

Its guaranteed playing time he wants, not money. Considering he is our best midfielder (Coutinho aside), Klopp should assign a fixed position for him (B2B midfielder than CDM for me) and play him as much as possible. Using him as a utility player won't do him any favours if he wants to play regularly for Germany.

U rite but he has put in a shift for us, and from wat I heard he jus wanted game time assurances which we can easily give.

He never had any intention of signing that has been obvious for a long time some sites reportin he's already agreed a deal with juve for 2018.

Truth hurts. why is he greedy? I don't think it's greedy to want to develop in one position and to be seen as the main man there? You could argue he should be stronger willed to fight to earn the position, but greedy? I'm unconvinced.

What is greedy about a young player wanting to start week in week out?

Ed 01 regarding Can's contract offer on the table, if signed do you know if it would make him one of our top earners?

{Ed001's Note - yes, but every new contract will always do that because salaries are rising amongst the players.}

Feels like we've messed up a bit here - perhaps because his best position is really where Hendo is playing now. It would be a shame to see him leave as he's the natural succession in the deeper role.

Cheers Eds was only wondering as from reports Milner and Sturridge are two of our highest earners and with both likely to be squad players this season I could imagine the regular starters would possibly have one eye on that or at least their agents would.

I don't get how people can call him greedy o. O if he was greedy he would have taken the pay rise and not cared if he played or not. But the lad genuinely wants to play week in week out.

If milner and sturridge are top earners . i would replace them both . milner not needed now not the greatest lb and in midfield doesn't have killer pass. sturridge lost his pace and injury prone .
