Seen some reports today saying we cold let Harry Wilson leave, with clubs like Bournemouth, Newcastle and Villa all interested. Personally I can't see Liverpool just letting him go especially if we aren't signing anybody else in to replace him this window.

01 Aug 2019 16:29:41
Replace him? Feeling you are just lookin someone to say this but. Why would we need to replace someone who hasn't doesn't and probably won't ever play 1st team football for us.

He's good but it would likely be best for his development to move somewhere he will get playing.
Would love to see young lads get lots of time here but also if Salah or Mane are sat on the bench in any game when fully fit I'll be as annoyed and puzzled as every other fan.

Eds respons by default "Why would we buy someone to replace a player, that would not play anyway.

3.) 01 Aug 2019

Why would we need to replace someone who was out on loan last season?

4.) 01 Aug 2019
01 Aug 2019 16:43:33
How do you replace a player that isn't playing?

5.) 01 Aug 2019
01 Aug 2019 16:45:03
For that price, it would be foolish not to sell now. Clearly the player is going to be a bit part player next season and if he is sold at the end of next season, LFC won’t be Ven make half of that reported now.

6.) 01 Aug 2019
01 Aug 2019 16:50:06
AG you do realise that we have a very long season ahead and Manè and Salah both have not long come back from the Cup of nations, having Wilson gives us a winger who can allow us to rest them and allow them some recovery time. As it is, Manè won’t be ready for a few weeks.

7.) 01 Aug 2019
01 Aug 2019 16:55:02
With the volume of games this season he would be a player worthy or a club world cup a d 2 league cup runs for me for a season.

8.) 01 Aug 2019
01 Aug 2019 17:17:10
Although he didn't play any games last season he is still a player that can play left or right wing in the absence of Mane or Salah.
I'd be a lot happier if he was replaced if he was sold.

Relax guys Cornett is coming.

I really miss the "thumbs down" button for some of these responses, LOL.

11.) 01 Aug 2019
01 Aug 2019 18:12:18
Selling Wilson and bringing in Cornet would have to rank as one of the dumbest moves of the transfer window. Aulas has been waiting for some mug punter to come by and waste a massive transfer fee on him, and who better than a desperate club at the tail end of the transfer window? And if it’s us, then we’re getting properly rinsed, as the player has delusions of mediocrity.

12.) 01 Aug 2019
01 Aug 2019 18:50:22
Ha, mention Cornet once and here comes 6Times to tell us all why he's no good.

13.) 01 Aug 2019
01 Aug 2019 19:05:19
6 and Harry, sitting in a tree.

Klopp wants to sell Wilson
Klopp likes Cornet
Klopp has said that we need to sell before buying

Can you explain what makes you believe that you are more knowledgable than the manager and why we should trust your judgement over his?

14.) 01 Aug 2019
01 Aug 2019 19:13:02
BeckersGloves can you tell me why do you think that

Klopp wants to sell Wilson
Klopp likes Cornet
Klopp has said that we need to sell before buying

Because none of it is true . so if you are accusing people with anything make sure you have facts and not an opinions that's its not even your own .

15.) 01 Aug 2019
01 Aug 2019 19:32:21
Someone to play on the wings? if Salah or mane aren't about. Shaqiri and Origi will just like last season, then we've Ox, Brewster surely will be used in a few positions too. and if we have some mad injury crisis there's Gini, milner, lallana.

16.) 01 Aug 2019
01 Aug 2019 19:33:04
Unlike you BeckersGloves, I’m prepared to support and give an opportunity to one of our own over some bang average no mark that wouldn’t make Everton’s bench, but then some of us are loyal supporters of our players and others are people like you who just want a signing for signings sake regardless of the fact they’re not tangibly better than the player making way for them, go back to football manager/ FIFA or whatever it is you do. Clearly if you’d ever watched Corner you’d know he was a fairly limited footballer who only has pace. His first touch would make Peter Sutcliffe wince.

{Ed025's Note - dont confuse loyalty with blind faith mate...tip of the day..

17.) 01 Aug 2019
01 Aug 2019 20:16:00
It’s quite difficult to explain facts to somebody (and possibly their other account) when they don’t want to bother reading and listening for themselves. Try following the Ed’s on here and also listening to Klopp press conferences.

Wilson is currently for sale, we are listening to offers and a further loan has been ruled out. I’m going to take from this that Klopp doesn’t want him.

Cornet has been watched and the feedback is that Klopp likes the player. He made another glowing comment on the kid during the African Nations.

Klopp has said at least 3 times in the last month that we don’t have the money to spend this window. The fact that Wilson AND Kent with any decent cover for Left and Right makes it very clear that he is looking at an option for cover as he wouldn’t leave us without it.

Wilson isn’t a good fit for Klopps tactics. He is a lazy player who goes missing in games but scores a nice banger. Maybe if this was American Football and we needed Special Team players then I’m all for it.

I’m confident that my facts trump yours but ignore them if you want, the Welsh mafia must be hating their life atm with Bale being made to look stupid in Spain and the next big hope slipping down the league before he’s even got started.

Don’t shoot the messenger, I’m NOT Klopp.

18.) 01 Aug 2019
01 Aug 2019 20:33:45
Oh and one more thing, Roger Whittmann. I know who I prefer to believe over admirable but misguided devotion to a player who just isn’t good enough for even the bench.

19.) 01 Aug 2019
01 Aug 2019 20:46:19
See. When people say when they’re stating facts, you almost always know you can shoot them down. You mention that “. he made another glowing comment on the kid at the African cup of nations. ”, now this isn’t true. As Klopp hasn’t made public comment on him. And if Klopp had watched the AFCON hoping to watch Cornet he’d have been bitterly disappointed as he only played once as a sub in a dead rubber against Namibia. I’ve seen plenty of Cornet over the last few years in Ligue 1. He’s certainly not the type to go chasing back at all and if you think Wilson is lazy then I really don’t know what that makes Cornet as he rarely chases back or makes tackles, he lacks technique and literally all he has going for him is pace and physique and not much else, Tony Pullis would love him. Hopefully your man love for Cornet will be unrequited and he stays in France. Or better still, you could go and support Lyon and then you’d see lots of him fluffing shots and generally not looking like he knows what to do with the ball.

20.) 01 Aug 2019
01 Aug 2019 21:03:06
6times, Cornet came on as a sub in every single game at the AFCON, normally around the 65 minute mark. You clearly don’t know what you are talking about, maybe you are thinking of a different player.

21.) 01 Aug 2019
01 Aug 2019 21:08:12
I stand corrected that it was five sub appearances, but that’s five forgettable sub appearances barring a goal in the dead rubber against Namibia. Doesn’t change the fact that Klopp hasn’t commented on him, or the truth that he’s a very very mediocre footballer. None of this changes the reality that he’s not a player who would make a difference in tight matches when teams park the bus.

22.) 01 Aug 2019
01 Aug 2019 21:14:40
How do you know they were forgettable appearances? You obviously weren’t watching the games as you didn’t even know he was on the pitch. Have you ever seen him play?

23.) 01 Aug 2019
01 Aug 2019 21:46:59
I’ve seen him play in the french league on a number of occasions and he really doesn’t look up to much and from what I saw of the Ivory Coast in the AFCON, which I’ll admit wasn’t a great deal, I only noticed that he appeared in the Namibia game and scored, though the goal he scored against Namibia was a result of poor defending and keeping. Shows how memorable he was. I certainly noticed he was not deemed good enough to be a starter. Truth is, he’s a mediocre footballer and not worth wasting money on a he has nothing in his game that would have changes any of the matches we drew last year, given that he’s only useful against teams that play a higher line and is only effective running into space.

24.) 01 Aug 2019
01 Aug 2019 21:47:47
Take it your not a fan of Cornett then 6times lol. We’ll loop is and I like what I’ve seen of him. If Klopp wants him then then that’s good enough for me.

{Ed0333's Note - yes but can he do it on a cold foggy night in Cassel?

25.) 01 Aug 2019
01 Aug 2019 21:52:09
A word of advice 6Times (or Harry) .

When bragging about “shooting down facts”, try to at least use actual facts. You don’t like him and you want to give Wilson a chance. Totally fair position. Unfortunately, Wilson is for sale and Cornet is a player of interest as his replacement.

Klopp is keen on him, you’re not. Get over your vitriolic hatred for the kid, the search bar would have me wonder why you really don’t like certain players. It’s bang out of order how heavy you going for him, it really is as if you have an ulterior reason because the player you describe isn’t the player I’ve (and I guess the club scouts) have watched.

You throw your insults out but clearly know nothing about the situation. You are showing your troll credentials and I just hope that the real reason for hating on the player as hard as you so doesn’t come from a darker place.

26.) 01 Aug 2019
01 Aug 2019 21:53:16
Listing off players who can play on the wing doesn't actually mean that they are any good playing on the wing.
Origi and Brewster are far better playing centrally. Shaqiri almost always played deeper last season and Ox is far more effective in midfield.
There is nothing wrong with wanting a specialist winger to back up our wingers.

27.) 01 Aug 2019
01 Aug 2019 23:16:18
Shaqiri is and always has been a RW, Chamberlain has spent his entire career playing on the wings before coming to Liverpool, some of Origi' s best games for Liverpool has come from the LW.

28.) 02 Aug 2019
01 Aug 2019 22:02:16
I hope he can ed0333 lol. Are you a fan of him mate?

{Ed0333's Note - Cornet? I’ve only seen him play against City he looked useful but then again so did Diouf before he signed for us mate. If it were me I’d go all out for Steven Berjiwin who I think is more than capable of deputising for messers Salah & Mane.

29.) 02 Aug 2019
01 Aug 2019 23:49:37
Thunderbird, it's not just listing players that can play on the wing, we have 2 of the best wingers in the world! That is who is going to play on our wings. If for some reason they can't, origi has shown many times he is more than capable of filling in, as have several others, it's not like we play with traditional wingers who, we play with 3 attacker. If someone is out klopp will tinker the team and system to use the players available to the best of their abilities.

Specially for BeckersGloves . to begin apologies did n't realise you were in the middle of a lovers tiff with other posters . sorry I really have nothing to do with it . But I guess the lines " Try following the Ed’s on here and also listening to Klopp press conferences. " are in response to my suggestion to you about stating facts . unfortunately you done the same thing again and you fail to follow your own advice. and don't confuse the eds opinion as facts . Ed002 is the one with one with facts as we all know and never once he would say Klopp likes or hates or thinks etc . even when he is asked, he usual response "you need to ask Klopp".
On Harry Wilson . ed002 few days ago said something to the effect that no plan to send Wilson on loan again and the club plans have changed for him.
Klopp on Wilson just 2 days ago, when asked about the boy's future he said:"We are in constant conversations, that's clear. We have to do the right thing for us and for the boy. "He is obviously a really good player and I was really happy with him in the whole pre-season" "I am happy for him. He played not in his best position, he played left wing and did it really well, " Klopp added.
"We tried to set it up a little bit so it is more comfortable for him with positioning and stuff like that. When he scored the goal, it was just Harry. Brilliant. "
MY OPINION : really think if a club comes in with 18m+ for him, we'll sell with Klopp's blessing . as mentioned by few posters already there are at least 4 or 5 ahead of him in the first team.

Cornet ; I don't know and don't care if he is good or bad . but saying Klopp loves him and he is the one because we watched him, is ridiculous . Klopp says nice things about a lot of players and as you know "by following the Ed's" we have been monitoring quite few players . I mean blimey Klopp probably want to sleep with Fakir, he was after him for 2 years .

Then you stated this stupid fact: "Unfortunately, Wilson is for sale and Cornet is a player of interest as his replacement. " . I mean why would we replace a player that did n't play for us last year and was n't in the first team setup until just recently?

And finally, and this is really sore point because it effects the club : You said:
"Klopp has said at least 3 times in the last month that we don’t have the money to spend this window"
Can you give a snippet from somewhere that he said that . he will be in trouble with his bosses if he did . what he said and sorry can't find the actual quote but it was something to the effect, this window was never going to be like last summer, we are looking for opportunities that is good for us and we are working hard trying to do something .

{Ed0333's Note - please tell me when Klopp has said “we don’t have the money to spend this window”?

31.) 02 Aug 2019
02 Aug 2019 03:41:08
Is 6Times Harry? I thought he switched teams to City?

{Ed0333's Note - Thanks for pointing that out mate. I hope it is Harry I’ve missed him. He makes me chuckle with his bunkum

32.) 02 Aug 2019
02 Aug 2019 06:08:07
Kloppdog, given that Klopp himself has implied that he would like to sign a versatile forward, and given that all of our forwards are comfortable playing centrally we could probably conclude that the versatile forward would be one that prefers to play on the wings. So I am simply agreeing with Klopp that we need to sign another winger.

33.) 02 Aug 2019
02 Aug 2019 10:32:17
Thunderbird, I'm not saying it wouldn't be nice to have another winger. Just saying it is not something we majorly need. And Harry Wilson certainly doesn't need replacing.
If someone who fits the bill comes available all and good but if not We'll do just fine.
If it was something Klopp felt we badly needed we'd have signed someone by now.

34.) 02 Aug 2019
02 Aug 2019 13:07:32
Klopp never said we didn't have money to spend. He said we couldn't afford to spend like City, Madrid, Barcelona and PSG year after year. I feel he wisely looked at the options available and realized the ones he wants are ridiculously expensive or not willing to move to be second fiddle to our front three. There's only a handful of players in world football who could improve upon that front three, so you either need to provide depth for them in the case that they get injured (which Origi has proven he can do and Brewster will get the opportunity) or supplement them by adding players in other positions. But OX is deemed ready to take the role back over, Keita was bought just last season for loads of money and Wijnaldum has been tried further forward in lineups when Milner/ Fabinho/ Henderson play. Add into that Lallana being moved deeper and the only role left to fill in the midfield is one that Harry Wilson could very easily fit into. The hindrance for Wilson is Shaqiri - he offers all of the things Wilson does already. Still, unless a big offer comes in, and that would be in the twenty million plus which only a few Prem clubs would be able to pay, why not keep the lad and give him a few chances? I've made my case for him several times in the last couple of days. Klopp, to me, seems like someone who will advise Wilson in a way that will best suit Wilson whether that is leaving or staying.

35.) 02 Aug 2019
02 Aug 2019 14:22:24
{Ed0333's Note - please tell me when Klopp has said “we don’t have the money to spend this window”?
=====================================
Not sure if you asking me ed0333? that was my point I don't think Klopp said that; or even anything remotely close to these words . the other poster is confident as a matter of fact that Klopp said it 3 times . so I asked him to provide us with proof/ quotes to educate us.

{Ed0333's Note - sorry mate I misunderstood I thought it was you’re quotes. Thanks for clearing that up mate.

36.) 02 Aug 2019
02 Aug 2019 17:38:52
Why would we need to replace Wilson, when he was not even a part of the first team last year. Wilson's workrate off the ball is just as bad as Coutinho. We defend as a unit and the team moves together to ensure we are able to defend. If anything we need to look at fullbacks. Wilson was so far down on the pecking order why would the club buy a player to replace him.

37.) 03 Aug 2019
03 Aug 2019 08:08:34
Here is how I see it - we got mane, firmino, salah, origi, Brewster, shaq, Ox, kent and Wilson for 3 positions. We can lose 2 of those and still have 6 for 3 spots. . . So we can't or shouldn't just keep this many players for the cup games because we have too many ad it is.

38.) 03 Aug 2019
03 Aug 2019 12:36:10
Commenting on Max Cornet is like a trigger for 6Times (Harry in disguise, IMO) . Anytime his name is mentioned on here, he just starts spouting abject fantasies and personal, ad hominem attacks against him like he stole his GF in another life/ parallel universe. Obsessed much Harry, I mean 6 Times.

As for replacing Wilson again, can those saying that answer me this: How do we replace a player who doesn't play or wouldn't have been playing regularly to begin with?
