Morning Ed's

Any updates on the situation with Brewster.

Sky are reporting that Palace and Sheffield United have held talks with the club

Just wondered if you have any news.

{Ed002's Note - That is correct as I understand matters.}

It would be incredibly stupid of the club to sell Brewster!

Sale or loan, Ed?

{Ed002's Note - The clubs want loans. Liverpool might want to sell to raise funds - but could easily price him out of a move as they have done with others.}

I'd accept a loan, but a sale seems shortsighted. It's clear there's an urgent need to raise money, but there are other candidates like Shaqiri, Wilson and Karius that have neither a present nor a future with the club. Whatever financial crunch is hitting us is hitting other clubs also, so I don't understand the pricing out of a move strategy, either. There is no benefit to holding on to players over 3-5 years just for loaning purposes. Aside from Origi, I don't recall a single player who came back from a loan (s) and made it back into the squad.

Sell with with a buy back clause is a win-win if you ask me.

Ed why do out youngsters seem to not quite make it with us usually. I mean apart from a select few, I always read about them coming through the system and Brewster was deemed good enough for the top tier but now we are considering selling him to more than likely being in an oversees/ foreign player?

{Ed001's Note - because being good enough to make it is not the same as being good enough to make it with us.}
