Evening ed 2.

Will we get any kind of loan fee for Herbie Kane going to Barnsley?

Also, is it true wr are asking Cardiff for £1million plus for a Harry Wilson loan?

{Ed002's Note - (a) I would not think so. They may contribute to wages. (B) More.}

Kane was sold for £1.25mil.

{Ed002's Note - Another shame isn't it. Another "club developed" player leaving.}

Ed002 I don't think its a shame if he was only good enough for Barnsley and not even a low level prem side his never going to make it with us so good luck to the lad he can settle down at a club for the long term.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool will he playing with smaller squads in Europe and when the rules in the Premier League change they will have a smaller squad than others sides. Kane was well thought of by the pub - I guess they don’t know their stuff.}

he might have been well thought of ed but he was way down the pecking order and would have never got any minutes best thing for him like Brewster I wanted him to stay and play but would have done him no good.

Sometimes Grino you are damned if you do and damned if you don't.

The Irish Rover hopefully he does well there and gets a move back to the prem but it would have done him no good staying here. He is about to turn 22 in November and we are stacked out where he plays and it is much better for him to move and play first team football rather than play U23 level with us.

Exactly Irish. If we’d kept hold of him we’d be accused of blocking his career. You really can’t win.
Unfortunately at all clubs the vast majority of promising youngsters don’t end up being good enough for the first team, especially at the top of the premier league.

Grino75, I agree with you.
In fat, think about players who Liverpool willingly let go, any of them went on to do big things? Probably none. Unlike Sancho, De Bruyne, etc.
Think about Ibe, Solanke, and many more.
Prove 2 things,
1. Liverpool does well in letting go players who can’t make it.
2. Liverpool doesn’t develop enough good enough players.
