This is most definitely a 2+2=17 type of rumour, but I do like these!

The first bit is from the BBC Sport website - its that Bild is reporting that Red Bull Leipzig could yet be open to buying a striker before the Jan window closes and that Divock, along with Ineacho and Dolberg, is on a shortlist of strikers from them.

This second part is entirely from the brain of Zed and that is that Leipzig have both Konate and Upamecano in their current squad!

Divock + Cash for one of those two, maybe?

Well a boy can dream, can't he?!

Would love it to be possible but just can’t see it I can’t see is signing a CB due to financial restraints even in a player plus cash deal and I think it may cost us the league this year unfortunately we have no bite in midfield as our best midfielders are being used as centre backs and without the midfield drive our attack seems toothless. I think If we were going to sign anyone Klopp would have wanted it done by now (given how long he usually takes to put new members in the squad) I just can’t see it and can’t see us putting a decent run together based off our current form and the fact the CL is returning soon!

What about Keita for Upamecano, straight swap, no cash involved, just a gentleman's (virtual ) handshake. I'm dreaming too.

Weston and Jack, agree totally.

Jack, expanding on that I would be happy to offer Naby AND Divock for Upamecano.

Come on Edwards, make it happen, son!

Upa is dreadful and would be found out so much. Whereas, Keita is what we are missing atm, would make no sense.

Keita is a complete waste of space, he is utter rubbish lad.
Konate is better than Upamecano.

Keita just unfortunate with injuries when he gets a run of games which is very rare he offers a runner from midfield into the box which creates opportunities and space. He’s tidy on the ball and he has a trick or two up his sleeve. I wouldn’t be disappointed to see him leave because of his fitness issues but when fit both Keita and ox offer a different dynamic to the midfield. Gini will be a big loss when he goes as his work rate off the ball is superb. Liverpool’s form currently is IMO down to the lack of cb options it’s removed Fabinho from cm and clear to see that the full backs are not able to perform as they do with an established cb pairing there. I’ve said on here before we need a striker as our front 3 need a lot of chances to score but in the past they were creating plenty. Be interesting to see transfer movement over the next year. We definitely missed an opportunity to sign Luis Suarez back in the summer as he’s on fire for Atletico Madrid and I’m sure he would’ve felt he had unfinished business at Liverpool. All that being said Liverpool are fourth in the premier league playing often without a recognised centre back. That exceptional.

{Ed0666's Note - From a footballing perspective I can’t see a future for The Ox or Keita at Liverpool beyond this summer. Maybe they get a reprieve because of the pandemic.
