I've been winding up my Wolves mates all season saying that I can't wait to see Neto in a Liverpool shirt. genuinely think this guy is an incredible player.

Ed's any chance this could happen are your thoughts on him?

{Ed002's Note - I cannot answer "any chance" questions. Liverpool have made no approach to Wolves for Neto but have an interest in Traore as has been explained.}

Ok thanks Ed I understand! Do you rate Neto?
I hope Klopps interest in Traore vanishes!

{Ed002's Note - Neto is doing very well.}

I’d like to see either or both of Traore and Sarr join Liverpool.
Both have the potential to really tear it up.
Traore must be about the quickest front man in Europe?

{Ed0666's Note - no point being quick if there’s no end product mate. Sarr is rapid also but carries more guile and threat.

That’s what people said about Sterling and Bale though Ed.
I like to think of what he can do, rather than can’t.
And the potential positives far outweigh the negatives for Traore imo.
His pace gives you another dimension, can revert to all kinds of formations with him up top.
Give him, say, 4 runs per game and 1 of them is going in the back of the net.
He can cause havoc for any team.

{Ed001's Note - he is nothing like Sterling and Bale. For starters he is 25, so should be able to offer an end product by now. His end product is non-existent, if he could produce 1 in 4 times he would be excellent, but he produces once in 100 or even more. He hasn't the intelligence to slow down to make the final ball controllable.}

Traore is awful and at a massive price, i'd rather Eliott played before him tbh, we need to put everything into Mbappe, one signing would change everything.

Just to back up Ed001's point, I saw a stat gloating around that Adama Tralee only hits the target with 25% of his shots on goal. So only 1 shot he takes actually troubles the keeper/ defence.

I think a more apt comparison to Traits would be the likes of Aaron Lennon, Theo Walcott, etc. Never kicked on to be able to make use of their pace and power.

{Ed001's Note - spot on, that is exactly who he reminds me of, lots of pace but no brain. He needs to learn to run slower before playing the final ball.}

I can accept those points but the long balls we play out of defence are perfect for Traore, I think it’d bring a new dimension to his game that he doesn’t really enjoy at Wolves. The way we play suits his pace to a T and, probably ironically, his downturn in form will have lowered his price?
Elliott is never a rival to a player like Traore, totally different. I can see Elliott developing a skill set like the better points of Grealish or maybe even a Firmino-type game.
Anyway, I think a Summer signing up top will definitely be a player with pace.
Traore is ok by me.

{Ed001's Note - what do you mean? That is exactly how they use him at Wolves and he is not very good. It really is that simple. Elliott is a far better player.}

Ok, one last attempt to make a case 🤣
Salah and Traore left up top out of possession, the rest of the team can sit deeper and more compact.
Long balls out of defence, the opposition are forced to keep probably 4 or 5 players back to mark them?
Just like the Leipzig game but x 2. No? 🤣🤣.

{Ed001's Note - which again is what Wolves aim to do. Traore is simply not good enough. The idea is fine, but you are just picking the wrong player. There is one player to go for from them and it is Neto.}

Traore is an expensive option for a player with minimal end product also as a point Liverpool don’t have problems scoring against teams who want to play its teams who sit deep for long periods that are an issue they need someone who can score regularly from outside the box or at least cause defenders to think I can’t give him time on the edge because that will open gaps up. Looking at Man City struggling to open Everton up so mahrez pops one in the corner from outside the box. Think of the last time Liverpool scored an effort in open play from 25 yards like stevie g used to do. We lack that threat which allows West Brom’s to play 6 and a 4 with no attacking intent. My one criticism of klopp would be that we are turning into the new Arsenal at times we always looking to walk the ball into the back of the net we rarely shoot from outside the area. It’s not a terrible thing I think Klopp is definitely in the top 1 managers in the world but I hope we start taking more shots from the edge give defenders something to worry about.

That's why I think Grealish would be perfect. sorry for repeating it. i know he would cost a bit but he is class. he won't win anything with AVilla.

My man Traore produced tonight anyway lmao, even if it was back off the keeper’s noggin.
Neto was good also, especially first half. He’s a fine young player.
Have to say, on that showing, Wolves do not look to get the ball forward early anything like as much as Liverpool.
I’d definitely take both of them to Liverpool.
Wolves our new Southampton lol.

He is about as good a finisher as Firmino 😂. Oh oh calm down, even if it’s true.

{Ed002's Note - Going on from what Ed001 said, Liverpool need to work with Eliott and forget the likes of Starr and Traore. I actually don’t get what Klopp sees in Traore.}

With Klopp as Manager, even Traore can become the new Messi.

{Ed0666's Note - That I don’t doubt mate.

He definitely messis up his final ball a lot?
