Reading reports Liverpool are interested in Bastoni of Inter. Any truth Eds?

{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware - he would be expensive which would be a problem but he would be the replacement for Gomez that Klopp desires if the money could be found.}

Think Bastoni is a left pegged so would want to play on VVd’s side.

Skriniar would be my choice from inter, not that it’s going to happen mind.

Ed002 - seen Gomez being replaced a few times, is it more likely Gomez is moved on than Matip? Surely Matip would make sense to move before Gomez who is homegrown, younger and still room to improve.

{Ed002's Note - Matip is not a starter - Gomez is and would be the one to lose out if Liverpool could get what Klopp wants - but as zi have explained that will be difficult.}

what is the reason for Klopp wanting to get a starter, does he just not see Gomez as being good enough?

surely we need to be addressing the HG issue and dropping Gomez for an international player.

On the contrary Ed002, Matip has almost always started ahead of Gomez whenever fit. You can look at their availability over the years, and you would see that FYI. Peace.

{Ed002's Note - Fine then, nobody will miss Gomez going. I was wrongly under the impression that Klopp had settled on him as a starter. Finding a buyer will be difficult then.}

I find it hard to believe that Klopp saw Matip as being ahead of Gomez, before their injuries.
