Seeing that the Echo are reporting we are still interested in Koulibaly.

Wanted to garner views on whether Koulibaly or Konate would be a preferred option for us?

What does one offer over the other? I've looked back at Koulibaly's injury history (as that seems to be the significant hesitation over Konate) and although he's been relatively injury free in the past, there have been a few injuries more recently - he's missed 23 games (according to Transfermarkt) in the last 2 seasons, albeit 4 of them were through CV.

Koulibaly is not going to happen due to age and price, Konate could be a problem with us speaking to him first and RBL may make us pay for that, as I said previously Maxence Lacroix is an option LFC are considering along with Kabak - I think we will bring in 2 CB's for the price of Diego Carlos and let Matip and Philips go - leaving us with Gomez, VVD and 2 new others with Rhys Williams being number 5.

Koulibaly would be 30 soon. Unless we can buy him for not a lot of money, we should pass.

Konate 100%.

He’s 29 and Napoli still want the thick end of £60m, so if mark that one as a non starter.

Wouldn’t count on us signing Konate. RBL want the fee up front.

Kingcarlos how can they make us pay he has a clause so all we have to do is meet that they won’t sell for anything less than that to anybody.

Nat Phillips has been fantastic, keep him and let Matip and Rhys go.

grino, the problem is exactly the fact they want the money up front, which we don’t have. RBL don’t want or need to accept instalments. I’m doubtful it will happen imho. Almost identical to Timo Werner and remind me where he ended up?
