hi eds, is there any chance of origi going, it seems to have gone very quiet and still can't make the bench.

{Ed002's Note - There is nothing new.}

I hope for his sake something can be done, his time at the club is over, if need be bring the price down and see if somebody is tempted to take a punt.

He doesn't want to move. Happy in the area. Clearly his life off the pitch is in a really good place and his job is secondary to that.

i have read that his 60,000 a week is proving an issue with buying clubs.

Looks like Origi might go to West Ham.

"He doesn't want to move". my God, anyone else would be getting stick, what kind of professional footballer would be happy NEVER to play professional football, if he has an ounce of professional pride he simply has to leave. I'd say Kaide Gordon at 16 is nearer to a game than Divock.

{Ed0666's Note - he loves his life, he loves his friends, he loves his job, he loves his salary, he’s happy, he pretty much has perfection. Why would he leave? Who can begrudge him that? We offered him a new contract with bells and whistles post Champions League triumph why didn’t we sell him then? Don’t hate the player hate the game. I love Divvy. Clearly I’d like him to leave to free up space and get some cash in but I can totally respect why he is staying.

100% ed0666 keep him he always has something to offer as well what other player would be happy to not be playing?

{Ed0666's Note - he’s just a lovely Winston Bogarde is our Divvy.

Exactly Ed0666. He gets paid whether he's at home on a Saturday or at Anfield. Great gig if you ask me. Who wouldn't want (allegedly) £60,000 per week for a few hours a day and the weekend off?

{Ed0666's Note - He’d be a fuc*ing idiot to leave if you ask me. He’s won the premiership and the champions League. How is he gonna replicate or top that at Burnley, West Ham, Bruges, Dynamo Moscow etc

Ed, Divock's reluctance to leave is frustrating because he has mentally checked out and he doesn't contribute. We want a squad filled with driven individuals pulling in the same direction, but Divock has been happy to go through the motions and it's made him a squad liability. If you want to stay then at least pull your sleeves up and have more of a go instead of being a waste of space.

{Ed0666's Note - he’s not checked out mate he’s not being played so we don’t know

Does he cause trouble within the squad? No. Does he fail to show up for training? No. The man who is paid handsomely to pick the team has deemed him not good enough. Not Origi's problem. He didn't give himself a new contract and a significant pay rise now did he? Why should he move for more work and less money? Nobody on here would leave their job for less money and more hours so why do you expect him to?

{Ed0666's Note - what he said

Exactly Ed, he's not being played and hasn't been played for the last 24 months yet he's still too comfortable to leave, so of course he has checked out. If he still had any drive as a professional footballer then he would've made his way out the door a while ago to get more game time elsewhere.

If Origi was still motivated and eager to impress Klopp then he'd be playing more minutes, simple as that.

Rainbow, how do you know Divvy has checked out mentally? Are you his shrink or therapist? Take a chill pill, bro.

I fully agree with you, ED666. Why should Origi leave and cancel a contract he has earned on the back of his hard work and heroics and abandon the life he has built for himself in Liverpool where he is happy and even tho, he is not playing he gives his all in training by all accounts and is a philanthropist doing great work at Liverpool Uni offering scholarships? Why should he go somewhere where he won’t be happy as a person first before even being a footballer?

Those slating him wouldn’t do what they are pressuring him to do so they should just pipe down and leave him alone. And if they are so worked up about it, they should make him an offer he can’t refuse. It’s that simple.
