Hi lads and ladies. Here with a good old fashioned rumour - I'm no ITK or anything btw and please take this with a pinch of salt.

I myself am from the Midlands and happen to know a few people who are good mates with Bellingham, including his best mate.

Was speaking to his best mate recently and jokingly asked him to ask Jude to come to Liverpool. The response I received was that Bellingham himself would absolutely love to move to Liverpool should the chance arrive and he has been speaking about it quite a bit recently with his friends.

He also said that he was struggling ever so slightly with home sickness in Germany and would favour a move back to England when he becomes available. As for when that will be not really sure.

That being said this info is on good authority and in the grand scheme of things it means very little, plenty of players want to join Liverpool.

Just passing on what I've heard and by no means does this mean he is joining btw it's simply the conversation going on with his group or friends etc.

Great rumour. Would absolutely love Bellingham at Liverpool but could we afford the fee? I reckon he’s bound for City when the time comes.

Former League Two manager saying he has it on good authority that Jude is Liverpool bound now your sources on him wanting to join. Take everything with a pinch of salt unless they are sign sealed and delivered, plus he would cost an arm and a leg. But he is the one player I want at Liverpool. Just waiting on Ed2 to come and crush my hopes 😢😂.

Him willing to move here is one box ticked, but does the club/ manager want/ need him? Can the club afford him? Are there better value options about? Do we have enough talent at the club already in that position?
Would be nice to sign him though, he’s a class act.

I can easily believe Bellingham would want the move, but that doesn't mean we've decided he's worth a hefty transfer fee, and can afford that outlay on one player.

You’ve got to love these old skool rumours.

Reality is that he’ll end up at City or Chelsea as we ain’t got the cash.

{Ed0666's Note - He seems like a kid that his career means more to him than money. He knows he’ll be set for life with his next move regardless where he goes so why not make it one that makes him happy. There is no doubt klopp would line Jude at Anfield, I’m pretty sure Jude would sign for Liverpool but the only issue is wether we can afford him because he’s gonna be 90 million plus.

There’s your answer Ed. £90m plus makes him completely unattainable. Considering we might also be needing to find a Salah replacement as well next summer, whatever money there is may be going in that direction.

I’d say Bellingham is not going to come here and I think that’s pretty reasonably certain. And it’s fair to say that he’ll never play for us.

I think FSG would go big for Bellingham given his age and potential.

It’s got potential to happen.

Not sure we can get him in the summer with Haaland on the move but you never know.

I know funds have been low for a while but if we do well this season in a few comps and continue to remove players on the fringe like Karius, maybe Origi, Ox etc then it's not completely outrageous to think we might have some money to spend on a star.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool do not have any agreement to buy Jude Bellingham. Several clubs will be interested if he comes up for sale. Dortmund will not be forced in to selling him next year and will seek a huge fee when he is sold.}

9.) 01 Nov 2021

I know this is nonsense (before ed002 rips me a new one) but for a bit of fun:

Sell Keita for £40m
Sell Minamino for £10m
Sell Ox for £10m
Sell Nat Phillips for £10m
Sell Origi for £10m
Sell the loaned out players: Davies, Williams, Ojo, Woodburn and van de berg
And we have enough money to buy Jude 👍🏼
Then we will just have to spend some more money filling in all them gaps left in the squad by selling half of it to buy one player. Lol

In all seriousness though we never know if we are going to sell a big name player and all of a sudden be flush with cash (Torres, coutinho etc) so might not be a total lost cause, the signings of VVD and Alisson stunned us after all.

01 Nov 2021 20:29:49
I could see FSG signing Bellingham, but only if it's re-investing a big chunk of money received for one of our own higher profile players.
Even if he didn't ask for the earth on wages, he'd still be on good whack, throw that in with his transfer fee and that's a lot of outlay. We don't have the financial reserves of Chelski or either of the Mancs, so there's almost always going to be some sort of compromise by selling to help raise the funds.
Can't see it happening myself which is a shame, but you never know.
Imagine what Klopp could do with him.

11.) 01 Nov 2021
01 Nov 2021 20:29:55
By the time FSG will have scrimped the pennies for a small down payment, one of our rivals will have just paid the fee in full. That’s the reality of the situation. If we got bissouma that would be an achievement, I’d expect us to go for Sanches again as he’s the cheap option. Regrettably.

12.) 01 Nov 2021
01 Nov 2021 20:33:20
Come on Ed02 - the Christmas Grinch isn’t supposed to be here until next month. It’s an old school rumour and is good fun and nice to see. Let us dream for a bit longer mate 😁😁.

13.) 01 Nov 2021
01 Nov 2021 21:07:22
would absolutely love Jude at Liverpool. Would he become the fastest british player to have a song sung for him? I can hear "Hey Jude" being belted out from the Kop right now (p. s. forgive my ignorance if that song has some kind of negative connotation for the Kop lol)

14.) 01 Nov 2021
01 Nov 2021 21:23:43
I seen that a random manager has said he heard from contacts he is Liverpool bound which seems a very bold move to making if its not true.

Id expect he will be a top target and if they can find the money we will move for him.

{Ed0666's Note - it was Craig Hignett that said he was Liverpool bound.

15.) 01 Nov 2021
01 Nov 2021 21:28:31
Do you think there was any truth to what he said or is it his way of making the headlines?

{Ed0666's Note - no clue sorry

16.) 01 Nov 2021
01 Nov 2021 21:43:35
Flash, the only player we have who we could sell to get anywhere near the amount needed to buy Bellingham is TAA. Other than that we’d need to be selling two. Bellingham is too much of a risk at his age to sacrifice important players.

17.) 01 Nov 2021
01 Nov 2021 23:16:25
Which is why I doubt it will happen.
We will look to unearth more gems on a lesser budget.
And to be honest the club have done well out of that so far.

18.) 01 Nov 2021
01 Nov 2021 23:33:39
Ed666. Hope all is well. Jude will have his pick of clubs when the time comes that for sure. It’s whether we can afford the transfer fee that will prove to be the biggest hurdle. Having said that there is something about the lad that comes off quite mature and not just money driven. Also, not sure if it was you or another Ed but it was mentioned that his dad looks after his affairs and wants the best for him career wise so no greedy agent to deal with. My question for you is have you heard anything about Klopp having a serious interest in bringing him to the club next summer?

{Ed0666's Note - I think it’s fairly obvious that we want him mate because Dortmund mentioned our club by name when they talked about the suitors circling around him. It wasn’t me who spoke about Jude’s father being his advisor/agent. As I said before whoever he signs for will pay him £200k plus a week and the signing on fee so he’ll never have to worry about money ever again and if I was him I’d sign for the team/manager who he feels his game could excel, make him a better player and win trophies. Who better in tne workd than Liverpool and Klopp? I agree with you he seems like an extremely mature young man and exactly what we need as a person and as a player. I’m not sure how we finance a move for him tho without selling a raft of players?

19.) 02 Nov 2021
02 Nov 2021 00:11:50
Ed666. That’s good enough for me. As long as Klopp wants him then that’s at least something and a good starting point right? It feels like we are made for him and like you said who better to work under than Klopp. Affording the transfer fee is the million dollar question though. Fringe players need to be sold even without Jude being brought into the equation. Ox (for both our sakes), Origi (for our sake), Milner (retired), Taki (for his sake), Naby (generate much needed funds) . Mane, I love the bloke and this one is difficult because I didn’t think he could do it but he is getting back to how he was, well at least moving in that direction. But we need to start a rebuild and he might be the sacrificial lamb out of the three. That would go some way to affording Jude. Can you imagine a team with Allison, our defence, Fab acting as the enforcer allowing Jude and Harvey to work their magic and Salah running rings around Premier League defences. Stuff of dreams!

{Ed0666's Note - If Jude is that good I would sacrifice mane, Bobby and The Ox if it meant we could bring Bellingham in. To be honest I’ve not seen much of Bellingham play but eds 001 raves about him and he’s normally a good judge of a player. I’m sure Hendo can s in his ear about moving to Liverpool in fact I have no doubts about that and a better role model you couldn’t find but obviously there’s gonna be a myriad of reasons why you sign for a club

20.) 02 Nov 2021
02 Nov 2021 00:18:27
Great news, it basically means bellingham was never the target, just like Timo werner, Christian Pullisic, Jordan Sancho all are names that were linked and that's all.
However It more than likely means there's someone else at dortmund we are interested really interested in.

21.) 02 Nov 2021
02 Nov 2021 04:11:05
Hands up if you’d sell Mo if gave us the cash to buy Jude ….

22.) 02 Nov 2021
02 Nov 2021 04:57:11
Jude Bellingham is NOT LFC bound - or, more correctly, there is no deal in place for him. "Bellingham quickly derided the rumours from the former Premier League midfielder [Craig Hignett], by posting a gif of him laughing on Twitter, before eventually deleting the post. " Much ado about nothing.

23.) 02 Nov 2021
02 Nov 2021 10:42:42
I think lots and lots of top footballers would love to come to Liverpool purely to play in this great side under a great manager to challenge for trophies. Its just a lot of them would be out of reach logistically.

24.) 02 Nov 2021
02 Nov 2021 11:15:23
But if Klopp leaves in 2023 then maybe Bellingham looks elsewhere as Klopp was and is pivotal to the success of the club and would be a huge reason for players to join?

{Ed002's Note - I cannot see Klopp walking out before his contract ends.}

25.) 02 Nov 2021
02 Nov 2021 12:19:24
I don't think think this is Klopps last contract with Liverpool personally, can see Bellingham coming in, especially if the owners don't pay up for Salah as there will be calls for the owners to go and Bellingham might be the player to keep the peace?

26.) 02 Nov 2021
02 Nov 2021 12:20:41
Keita for 40m mate? Hahaha on what planet would this ever happen? He’s the Guinean Darren Anderton.

27.) 02 Nov 2021
02 Nov 2021 16:28:39
Think I’ll just stop you at the bit where you said Keita for 40m! Who in their right minds would pay that? We’d be hard pushed to get 15m for him I reckon.

28.) 03 Nov 2021
03 Nov 2021 17:38:19
Ed002, my apologies, I thought his contract ends in 2023, just checked tinternet and I see it’s 2024.
