Eds any idea how Chelsea were able to sign Mason Burstow and loan him back to Charlton on Tuesday but Liverpool couldn't sign and loan back Carvalho? What's the difference there? Confusing. Much thanks as always!

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea spotted the player whilst scouting someone else and spoke to Charlton. Agrred a fee and filled in the paperwork. Liverpool used a third party (nothing wrong with that), but looked for a cheap late deal. It did not work out. Really they are unrelated.}

That’s very interesting eds2. Can you explain why we used a 3ed party and what was the fee we tried to buy him for. You really are the oracle mate. And thank for any info mate👌🏻.

{Ed002's Note - It is not worth opening these things up.}

Ed was this just late to announce? I'm assume all the papers where filled in and everything approved before the dead line day they just announced it 2 days later?

{Ed002's Note - He is a youngster that most people would never have heard of - they signed a couple of others as well.}

Ed's would you say CFC's youth dev system is better than ours at present? And if so is that down purely down to financial muscle?

{Ed002's Note - A lot better and it is down to policy over a long period of time.}

Spaceman-Chelsea’s youth system is the best by far in England and has been for sometime, all the England youth teams are full of their lads. Look at Liverpool and 2 of our most successful sales of recent times in Solanke and Brewster have both come through Chelsea ranks before joining us late in their development.
All across the Premier league and Europe’s top leagues they have players on loan (Gallagher, Broja, Gilmour) or they have sold (Lamptey, Livramento, Abraham, Tomori, Guehi) as they couldn’t break into the team on top of the numerous players that are either in the side or on the periphery (Mount, Hudson-Odoi, James, Chalobah, Loftus-Cheek) . Whether it’s the actual structure of their youth set up or their scouting they’re certainly doing something right.

Look into the full story behind how Chelsea got to this position with their academy. It doesn’t show them in a good light.

All of a sudden the cats got someone’s tongue on this Mark. Chelsea not quite as sparkly as we are consistently told on here heh.

Mark- is it any different to most top clubs cherry picking players from across the globe?

Could you elaborate on that instead of vaguely putting out that statement, Mark?

Chelsea did obviously get the transfer ban due to breaking rules with regards to youth recruitment, but I doubt most of the best players Cobham has helped form were at the core of that mess. Doubt there were any breaches in forming the likes of Mount, James, Gilmour, Abraham, Broja, Gallagher, Callum, Guehi, Livramento, Lamptey, Colwill, Musiala, Tomori.

Think Christensen's case was involved, as well as Bertrand Traore. So I'll give you those.

{Ed002's Note - I am not sure why the comment was posted. It seems neither of you understand the situation.}

That is an incredible production line to be fair! Mount, James, Gallagher, Lamptey and Gilmour appear to have very bright futures. Mount has a pretty good present too!

Very true, Ed. Indeed I don't know what the situation exactly was, and what Chelsea have done wrong with regards to youth recruitment. Which is why I would've liked for Mark to elaborate on his comment.
