Hi Ed002, please can I bother you for a minute? I'm just wondering if Liverpool are still interested in Bowen. I know you've written about him in the past but given his current form, I was wondering if there's anything new as far as Klopp's interest in the player. Also, do you think West Ham will do business if the player was interested in the move? Any info will be appreciated. I just think given stronger players and coaching, that guy can score 20 goals a season.
Thanks, 002.

{Ed002's Note - Jarrod Bowen (RW/LW) I am still not aware of any formal approach to West Ham by Liverpool, but Bowen is a player who would be an ideal replacement for the now departed Shaqiri and perhaps to depart Oxlade-Chamberlain or Minamino - and he is HG. Liverpool have a good relationship with his agent and have apparently spoken with him. I don't know if West Ham would be open to selling. Their focus is on other positions. So it makes some sense if West Ham are open to a sale and if the player accepts a bit-part role. Previously Leicester had an approach turned down by West Ham. Spurs want to add competition to Moura but I think Bowen would want to be a starter so any club signing him would need to convince him of their project. I would not totally rule it out.}

I don’t see it unless one of Firmino, Diaz, Salah, Mane or Jota leave. I think we could convince him to come in and be a part of a ‘front 5’ but doubt he would (or should) accept an Origi style role.

Unless we see him playing behind Salah on the right side of the midfield, which is a total change in position for him, then I'm unsure how it could fit unless someone significant moves on.

Thank you for your reply, Ed002! Hopefully Salah is sorted out sooner than later. I don't mind Bowen at all. Who's is agent, if I may? I don't have any football contacts or anything, but just watching him, Bowen strikes me like a hardworker, and I've just become sick of Salah's singing to the media rather than focusing on his football! Everything you said makes sense in terms of his homegrown status and potential space (s) in the team. Not sure he'll command a huge salary at first either, so what's not to like? Salah wasn't the Egyptian King until he came to Liverpool; who says we couldn't find the next one?

{Ed002's Note - He shares an agent with Roberton and Alexander Arnold.}

10 goals and 10 assists strikes me as a player on the up. Maybe the answer is to sell both Mane and Salah then bring in Bowen and Nunez.
