Imminent- real haggling us for salah and we sticking to our guns. I hope we don't sell him for anything under 100million.

What a tactic, just before the final.
They always have some sneaky advantage and another way of ensuring Salah is not on his best form.

Salah is far from his best spaceman. And has been for months.

3.) 22 May 2022
22 May 2022 08:40:09
Jurgen will deal with Salah the same way he dealt with Coutinho, Wijnaldum and Emre Chan who all wanted mega bucks, there's the door close it on the way out!

Jurgen's football philosophy is the "TEAM".

4.) 22 May 2022
22 May 2022 08:51:28
This is going to completely unsettle him. They are sneaky F*$£@&.

22 May 2022 09:13:35
Maybe it would bolster his resolve, perhaps? You know, inspire Real to show them what they’re missing.

Besides, would it be possible to lose motivation to win a third or possibly fourth (and historic) trophy of the season - and arguably the biggest one at that? Not for all the sunshine in Spain is my bet!

Why would anyone pay 100 million for Salah? He can leave for free in 12 months.

And why would Salah sign a new contract? He can go to the highest bidder in 12 months.

Akira, we don’t hold any ace cards here. They know he can leave for free in 12 months time and we will get nothing. We’ve been here before with Owen and McManaman (Can and Wijnaldum were slightly different, in so much as no one was really interested in making an offer to buy them when they had 12 months left), when we took a lowball offer for Owen and had accepted a low ball offer for McManaman from Barcelona which he rejected a move for.

This is literally being stuck between a rock and a hard place, he knows he’ll have his pick of clubs in 12 months time and Madrid will have worked out that he doesn’t intend to renew so will low ball us. If the worst comes to worst I only hope we don’t accept any Real Madrid trash in part exchange. There isn’t any one of their players worth taking.

I think Mo is a professional on the pitch, he will give his all. Off the pitch, he will be keen to add his accolades.

However, was having this conversation on Friday - should he be starting in the final? He's always a threat, and Real would be thinking about him all game, but should we not be going with our form players? Diaz, Mane, Jota?

9.) 22 May 2022
22 May 2022 10:55:57
It would make sense for Madrid. Salah for three years to back in for Mbappe in 2025 when Mbappe is just 26.

10.) 22 May 2022
22 May 2022 11:16:48
Surely all Liverpool have to say is they won’t speak to Real Madrid about any of our players until June or am I being too simplistic?

11.) 22 May 2022
22 May 2022 11:39:56
Or maybe he turns them down like mbappe has just done. hopefully.

12.) 22 May 2022
22 May 2022 12:38:37
Or maybe it's all just a rumour without a shred of truth behind it?

13.) 22 May 2022
22 May 2022 12:40:09
If you took Salah's five penalty goals away from this season's tally so far, he would be three goals behind Son of Spurs whose total goals this season does not include any penalties.

14.) 22 May 2022
22 May 2022 13:04:27
Would you want to be the so called best player in Europe but being 2nd choice behind mbappe?

15.) 22 May 2022
22 May 2022 14:03:03
Salah was flying before the afcon disappointment. if it wasn't for that competition and then the world cup qualifications games straight after and the contract situation he'd be fine I reckon. And his goal tally would be far better than sons. The guy has been run into the ground and needs a decent rest. If your trying to say son is a better player than mo. forget it. Good luck to mo whatever he decides going forward. Grass isn't always greener. We've been here before. and it won't be the last time either.

The terms PSG offered Mbappe are ludicrous if true (and I suspect they are true as they were desperate not to lose him on a free), £1m basic salary + bonuses, a say in which players PSG recruit, a say in who they recruit as manager, a veto over who gets picked in the starting 11. They’re on cue to create a Messi type monster.

17.) 22 May 2022
22 May 2022 18:58:28
VVVV, this is becoming all the more and more insane. They have already created a monster. What will his next club offer him? 2 Million per week? This is obscene and a serious reason to stop watching the game.

18.) 23 May 2022
23 May 2022 00:43:30
Completely with you aray1969 these type of deals are pushing me further away from the game now.

In terms of money it's nothing short of a Jurgen klopp miracle that we are able to keep tabs on the likes of city who can just splash when they like. Wages will just keep going up and up and the only teams that'll be soon able to afford them are the likes of psg and city no matter what way its painted.

Something seriously needs done about it but nothing will. Isn't the uefa president best mates with the psg president or something along those lines? Says it all really.

If he and Mane both end up leaving this summer, at least one is going to need replacing with a PL proven player.
Mo makes sense for Real, sure. He is a consummate pro, He would be past his peak by the time Mbappe joins, and would be an excellent role model and teacher for the young players . Plus its his dream. Beyond all that though, what a way to unsettle just before the final.
Real seem to always have advantages on their side.
We need a miracle to beat them next weekend, we look shot.

20.) 23 May 2022
23 May 2022 10:48:13
Spaceman we will need to bring in at least two attacking players with good track records of fitness and scoring regularly at a decent level if Mane and Salah both leave as Divock is gone, Minamino is very likely to go as well. Leaving us very short in attacking options (Diaz, Jota, Carvalho and Firmino), and we have to get it right as well because Mane and Salah are worth around 50 goals a season in the league.

21.) 23 May 2022
23 May 2022 18:23:14
£1 million per week. One Trevor Francis. A week. Madness.

22 May 2022 18:29:31
PSG are in real trouble if the Mbappe rumors are true. Building a squad is a very complex and coordinated process with many involved. So their football people are going to do all sorts of work to have this guy just overrule or impose decisions on them. There is no way they don't become completely dysfunctional.
