A lot of rumours circulating we’re going to make a move for Gavi from Barcelona. I know it’s been asked before but I don’t believe something that has been recently. For a 17 year old he looks a serious talent!

Just wondering if the Ed’s have heard anything on this?

To add to this, if he were to sign due to his age would he be considered home grown if he signed a 4/ 5 year contract or would he have to play in England for that duration?

{Ed002's Note - Gavi (CM) Barcelona will not sell and that has been shared with Manchester City, Chelsea and PSG who enquired. Liverpool and Bayern Munich have sent scouts to watch him. He will get a new contract with a Buy Out clause which will make him pretty much untouchable. Still a kiddie but resisting a new contract.

He cannot move to England before he turns 18 and needs to play under the English/Welsh FA for three years before he is considered HG.}

Doesn't he turn 18 a couple of days before the start of the new season? What is his problem with a new deal at Barca? Does he want to leave? If he does want to leave (& as you've said multiple times in the past) wouldn't Barcelona be better off to not keep someone that doesn't want to stay? Just wondering.

I saw that Barcelona need to sell for over 150 million before they can buy Lewandowski, league economic rules, wondering if player exchange would be a way to circumvent that, Mane to Bayern, Lewandowski to Barca, Gavi to Liverpool, probably some cash kicked back to Barcelona because of Gavi's age.
