My question for everyone just a curiosity with regards Gini, if we sold Keita for money and got a cheap loan deal for Wijnaldum for the year, would you take that? Just interested to read your thoughts I do not believe it is happening.

No. Wij went missing a lot no point time to look to younger squad players and see if they can step up. Could save ourselves a lot of money.

I wouldn't take him back. Prefer to look forward, while acknowledging whatever he has done for the club.

No definitely not for me. Personally I thought gini was a v good player for us but that time is gone. we not need to look to younger midfielder.

I agree with Jordz here, this would be a bit of a kick in the teeth for the youngsters. Jones needs game time, this could be a message for him (and others) to start looking for aa new club.

Carlos soler from Valencia available on relative cheap terms as they need to finance the loan.

{Ed002's Note - €50M is not relatively cheap, particularly for a player the club has no interest in.}

Klopp doesn't do reunions, and I'm sure he's said as much in the past.

I'd much rather give game time to Elliot, Jones and Calvalho.

If Naby leaves, that's the only time I could see us dipping into the market again, and I'm sure it won't be for Gini, but a younger midfielder who's already on a list at Liverpool somewhere.

If I could channel my inner Ed002, I would imagine this paper talk is originating from his agent who is angling to get him gametime.

I would have Gini over Keita anyday of the week but I also prefer to look forward rather than go backwards. Both Keita and now and Hypothertically Wini back would block Jones, Elliot and Carvalho and also potentially Morton so a definitely no for me.

Not for me I’d rather share the playing time between Jones, Elliot and Carvallho.

{Ed0666's Note - I truly believe we need a Graeme souness type midfielder hence the reason why we went for Tchouameni. Not addressing this is gonna cost us dearly. You can’t expect too much from Carvalho and Elliot is coming back from injury and who knows if he’ll get back to the form he showed pre injury and same goes for The Ox. I’m wondering if we spent the Tchouameni money on Nunez?

I'm all for replacing Keita, but, replacing him back with "The Ghost"?

No thanks.

A midfield of Jones, Elliott and Carvalho doesn’t cut it for me. Jones is inconsistent, Elliott is still coming back from injury and Carvalho is unproven in the PL. there's no real experience in that midfield and i imagine they would get slaughtered by the likes of City or Real Madrid.
Thats not to say individually they can't make a regular midfield slot but playing all three together would be suicidal.

Elliot came back from injury around Christmas I think, klopps left him out most of season to make sure he doesn't get injured. He'll be back fully fit after a good pre season. I can see him starting with thiago and fab. We definitely need another midfielder though.
