Ed002, if your around
Are you aware of a bid being made for Neco Williams, and if so was it was rejected?

{Ed002's Note - Neco Williams (RB) Interest has been shown by Fulham and it is clear that he has not clear future path at Liverpool and wants to move on, but they don't see the Liverpool valuation as significant and have an idea to speak to an Italian side offering a player around right now as a much better option. As long as the price asked is reasonable then perhaps the summer will see him move on. Nottingham Forest mad an offer but they are now a wild card option as they did not meet the asking price and are now working on another option. Price again will be everything and if not over-priced he should get a move.}

A welsh international of that standing is surely worth 15m, at his age. let's see if Ward is as good a negotiator as Eddie.

Hi Ed002, What would you consider a reasonable price and why? If you would be so kind.

{Ed002's Note - No idea, but sometimes clubs ask too much.}

Ed002 at 21 there is plenty of potential there I think he looked good for us in the cup games I did not see him play for Fulham but apparently he played well.
After the big outlay on Nunez and Diaz with only a fraction of that back from Mane and Minamino do the club need to sell more players this summer like Williams or could they let him go on loan where if he proves himself in the premier league they would get a lot higher price as he is still unproven at the highest level all so a good World Cup all ways sticks a good % on top of players.

{Ed002's Note - The club are short of cash and have taken on a significant amount of borrowing so they cannot just keep buying.}

Is what it is. Clubs with players we want price their players based on their supposed value and if you want that player you pay it. Don’t see why we should be any different for clubs coming after our players. If someone wants him that badly they’ll pay the asking price and if not then he’ll stay and his value will drop accordingly based on the length of his contract. I am not sure what is being asked for him but Looking at someone with his obvious quality and potential as a Full back, potential winger and international experience at a young age with a few years to go on the contract, I think between 12-17mil would be reasonable.

Imo £15m is ridiculous but that’s what is being rumoured and it seems like there is a fair bit of interest so hopefully we can get close to that.

Why do you say £15m is ridiculous Cobra? Not trying to be confrontational but interested why you think that when the going rate seems to be much more. A young, homegrown international who plays for a tier one team and impressed on loan last season. To me £15m sounds quite reasonable these days. Cheers.
