Long time since I posted, but still keep an eye to your site. Love the insights to what is going on (or not going on) in the transfer world.
I read where the Tarelles president has recently claimed Liverpool have made contact over a deal for Kevin Mantilla, the 20 yr old Colombian defender. Do you know if the Liverpool interest is genuine and, if so, is Mantilla a January or summer target?

Kevin Mantilla (CB) Brighton, AEK Athens and Liverpool had scouts watching the youngster before he moved to Talleres from Santa Fe in the summer of 2023. The English clubs know he would never be home grown and would be unable to gain a Work Permit in England. Brighton have continued to scout the player will look to place him at sister club Union Saint-Gilloise. Liverpool may maintain an interest still but it is difficult to see anything coming of it anytime soon.}

Someday I want ed2 to reply “I don’t know who that player is” and have zero knowledge as to their workings. Why? Because some people just like to watch the world burn.

Why would he continue to be scouted by English clubs if there is no chance of a work permit?
