Hey edd001 video going around of salah after the game, explaining how he hasn't even had a contract offer yet, have you heard anything?

Such a criminal thing to do. What are taking them so long? They plan to do it like a bday surprise or something? Very last day, everyone gather, singing song, and scream 'surprise! Here is your new contract'?

Can’t be paying him 350k a week for another 3 years. I’d offer him 1 with an option if he is so desperate to stay and even at a reduced wage he’d still be on silly money.

Tbh this is like the last dance it feels like for the old guard. Hopefully win the league and then start the rebuild. Maybe a few knowing it’s there last year will drive them on to win it.

Think we need a bit of steel in midfield though if we aren’t going to play Endo more. Got out battled again yday imo.

You would hope that Salah is meaning the contract hasn't been put in front of him yet. Which could (again this is me hoping) mean that the contract negotiations are with his reps, but the club haven't put anything on the table that his reps feel would be suitable. Hence he hasn't had eyes on a contract to date.

You would again hope, this is the case with all three currently. Not sure if this is me living in the optimism that there is no way no negotiations have taken place to date.

We should have no problem signing him for 3 more years. It protects his value and if he dips in form you can stil sell him to Saudi an recoup some of his salary. Right now he walks for free.

Obviously don’t want to pay his high wages anymore, the longer it goes on, mo will decide he is going to walk in summer and wouldn’t surprise me to be city, Madrid or Barcelona he joins….

Trent, Virgil and Mo have representatives currently in negotiations with the club! Press speculation has been wide of the mark. As Melissa has said, negotiations and an offer are two different things. The sticking point in Mo's negotiations seems to be the length of the contract.

I don't care what anybody says, give him what he wants. Whatever it is. He's worth every penny. Every single year he never fails to impress. I read something this morning, if we take away Salah from this season, we'd be 13th in the league. I don't know if there's any truth to it or not but sounds about right.

Not really correct that though Salah, take away any player (especially one with good attacking stats) from any team and you are essentially looking at a team with ten men. Who’s to say that if we played Diaz on the right, Gakpo on the left and Darwin up top all season we wouldn’t have a similar outcome. I want Salah to stay…but not at any cost. If he leaves, someone else plays and we find another way to win, and possibly another star player along the way.

What we have to remember Ronaldo at man u and how it went down hill and they were stuck with him don't want Mo going that way i agree 1 year extension with a further year option then the club can pay him what he wants and have a get out clause don't renew the extra year .

I'm surprised at how many people think a player is bigger than the club.

We thought rush was irreplaceable, then Fowler came along. We thought fowler was irreplaceable then Owen came along. We thought Owen was irreplaceable then Torres came along. etc.

Everyone can be replaced.
