Hi eds,
Where we ever interested in zubimendi? I've seen some (probably ass) reports that arsenal expect the deal to be done again in the summer. Just wondering if we're priced out or just not interested now grav has stepped up.
{Ed025's Note - as far as I know Dean you were interested in him mate but that cooled when he suggested he did not want to move to Liverpool..

So you’re saying there’s a chance Ed?
{Ed025's Note - the same chance as Amorim getting manager of the year Flidby.. :)

He’d be my choice Ed025. I think he has done a cracking job. Hopefully next season with a full preseason he’ll do even better and get them relegated.
{Ed025's Note - i feel sorry for him actually Bobby, this is the worst United side i have ever seen mate..

And long may it continue like that ed25!
{Ed025's Note - the Premiership needs a strong United side Digger, you dont want to walk it every year mate.. :)

A poor workman blames his tools ed, ironically im sure an experienced manager like Moyes would have came in and had them pushing for European places, he’s out of his depth, everything from his dress sense to watching them train from the other side of the ground. He’s giving off the vibes 01 alluded to with Arteta, brogers.
{Ed025's Note - Its not easy for anyone who goes there L29, the club is toxic mate and needs a complete reset because there is so much wrong with the club, its going to take years for them to recover but they are a big club and i wish them well..

I'd rather a stronger Everton side challenging us than a stronger Utd, Ed025. They can go to the Championship as far as I'm concerned. Other teams can replace them no issues :)
{Ed025's Note - most Liverpool fans feel that way Drac and i get the rivalry mate but dont get the hatred..

I wouldn't call it hatred, Ed. More like apathy. I don't quite understand the part where you said the Premiership needs a strong United side. To me, the premiership was doing well when they were strong and is doing well now when they aren't. I don't think we need a strong United side and I definitely do not want that as well.
{Ed025's Note - i like the competition Drac, this season has been great for the reds but a bit boring for the rest of us because you have had little to no competition mate, its far better when its nip and tuck for the neutral where the league is up in the air until the final weeks, i fully understand where you are coming from but one horse races are not that exciting unless its your team thats at the top..

It’s deep seated, I took so much stick in the 90s, and much of their fans base is extremely entitled. They are getting their just desserts and long may it continue.
{Ed025's Note - each to their own i suppose Tom..

My concern for United is minimal - but he turned up, alienated players and then publicly announced “these are all rubbish, I need new players”.
Do managers not improve what they have anymore?
Klopp joined Oct 16, bought no one for the first team that Jan and got to the Europa final with:
Mignolet, Clyne, Sakho, Skrtel, Moreno, Allen, Lucas, Stewart, Ibe and Benteke in his squad.
Every player that leaves United looks 100% better for it.
{Ed025's Note - as i said WOW the club is toxic mate and has been for quite a long time, its not a quick fix and i think even United supporter know that, but things go in cycles and they will be back one day thats for sure, but by then Everton will be European Champions and maybe Liverpool fighting relegation who knows?.. :)

I don't particularly want Man U to be relegated. If they were so be it. But they maybe replaced by say.
Bristol City
Hull
Luton
Stoke
Preston
Would you be excited by games against any of the above compared to Man United? I know no club is guaranteed a place in the top division.

I know I'll get destroyed over this, but the fact is the league is better when it's too biggest clubs, Liverpool and United, are strong and competitive. If/ when there is a proper title challenge between our clubs, the ratings will go through the roof. Having said that, I'd prefer Liverpool and Everton battling it out every year.

I did say other day ed25 u good sportsman but wishing utd well is going bit far. ?.
{Ed025's Note - and you call us bitter Digger.. :)

Ed025 I would say when Klopp took over we had some truly awful players but he instantly got a tune of of the squad. I would say Utd’s squad is not built for his system but he won’t change his style till he gets the players needed to play it. So I think that’s very poor management it’s no good him keep pointing out how poor the squad is when he is not helping them at all.
{Ed025's Note - i agree that it should be down to coaching Grino, but some of the dross at United are beyond that mate, Amorim will have his own ideas but it will take a long time to get his team playing the way he wants because they are not set up for it imo..

Stone:
The situation you describe has rarely happened. An ascendant Liverpool usually coincides with a poor United and vice versa.
Ed025
Yep. A club that has so many issues is rotten. Player dying his hair City blue for the derby, players TikTokking after losing, players running up £75,000 in late fines…when Keane left they lost their last actual leader who set standards. When Rio Ferdinand claims there is no loyalty in football - that accusation is more of a confession. Until they get real leaders at every level they’ll keep buying rats for daft money who stink the place up.
Also, no club regularly wins the bid two without a world class six. Their last one was Keane (Carrick was not quite world class) .
{Ed025's Note - its been a mess for a while now WOW and its difficult to break that cycle because of their poor recruitment mate, all teams have the odd rotten egg but United have a chicken house full of them, they seem to be making the same mistakes over and over again and its a vicious circle of players with a low moral compass who are in it only for the money, its the supporters i feel sorry for because they are paying good money to watch players who dont seem to give a toss if they lose or win, its totally unacceptable.

Showing my age here, but what I'm pleased about is Leeds coming back up. It was all about them and LFC when I first became a Red. Top flight doesn't seem right without them.
The thing with United is that we can all relate to a club burdened by its history finding it hard to climb back up to the top of the tree. But even when we've been rubbish, we've never been THAT rubbish.

Zubamendi prefers the Mountains in London! : p I hope someone at least explained to him that The Peak district (and Lake District) and Snowdonia are 1.5 hrs away from Merseyside.
