Sorry if a slightly odd point but watching el Classico and watch most of the big Spanish games and German games. Got me thinking of the game today and the games between the "top" english clubs, but is it a suprise that english clubs fail in Europe?

Don't think United actually played well today (tactics where Tbf very basic) and beat the "in form BPL team". Red card didn't help but most obvious to me were simple passes to put players through on goal that were miles off and giving away position with poor ball retention. Watching El Classico and are two of the best teams in world football but seeing how they keep possession and their ability to play killer passes to their forwards, think the gulf in class between our top teams and there's is frightening!

El classical is a shambles 22 players diving and rolling around trying to get others booked or sent off, it's a total farce some of the acting wouldn't look out of place on back in the room. Give me the EPL any day we get a bit of diving and conning the ref but compared to that la Ligas cheats and we are lucky to have our league

Roland is right. Utd played a simple game and we got out coached and outperformed. They hoofed it to Fellaini and the rest fed on the scraps and we had no answer for such a basic tactic. They possessed the ball well but we dropped off instead of pressing them high. We allowed them to dictate the game and we got punished. We need to be better at countering opposition tactics because teams are beginning to figure us out and we need to be ready to counter that.
