Hi Ed, is there anybody in the youths reserves team (s) you think could potentially step up and fill in for the injuries in central defence - I don't have a great deal of knowledge of who we have and how their progressing.
i know if push comes to shove I know we can maybe buy some extra cover or patch people up, but it would be nice to promote from within or am I being a dreamer 😄.

{Ed001's Note - we really lack central defensive options in the youth set up as well. Maybe we will have to find a way to recall Wisdom?}

Isnt llori coming back to us? Surely he will have to come in and Can in defence.

Lucas and Can are options there but recalling Ilori would be best. Toure and Sakho are surely the starting pair so we just need cover there.

Wisdom is getting games at Norwich in a good footballing side. Would seem a waste to recall him just to sit on out bench until Lovren or Skrtel return. Whereas Ilori may as well sit on our bench than Aston Villas.

Surely we've got to try and bring back wisdom and ilori. If not subotic on loan perhaps.

He just said maybe we will look to bring in a defender, maybe that means wisdom, he can compete with Clyne too when players are back.

I'm not sure Ed001. Been impossible to follow him because he's never in the squad. I am just wary of sacrificing what has turned out to be a good loan for Wisdom just incase Toure or Sakho get injured before Lovren or Skrtel are back. Especially when Lucas has stepped in there twice now and done well, plus Can is a last ditch option there. If Wisdom was coming back to play alongside Sakho with Toure benched, then it's perhaps a different story though.
